C. Fox There should be MMA animes, you know. Sure there are other martial arts anime, but so far i havent seen one as real and intelligent as Ippo. There's a manga called Tough which is basically the MMA version of Ippo (and if the main character was Sendo instead of Ippo). There's also a really good karate manga called Shamo that Kell introduced me to, and a surprising number of really kickass judo manga, like Yawara, which is by Urasawa Naoki, who also did the amazing Monster. 3nodding

Anonymooo Remember Jimmy Sisfa? Guy who fought Miyata in Thailand and was practically murdered by the Jolt Counter? Yeah. He's got a lot of scars on his face now, and he's a really scary guy calling himself Scratch-J now. He uses a version of the Jolt Counter (where all your weight is put on the ball of your advancing foot), but uses it as an offensive move, and has named it "Kami no Ichigeki" or "Single Strike of God." xd Right on mayn. I might try and get into the Ippo manga, just take it one step at a time. =' D
*marks it down somewhere* Kellindel I've always been a fan of Kiss of The Dragon. Not exactly sure why that movie doesn't have more fans. Jet Li taking on an entire dojo of French policemen. Well, I've never seen it, so there's my excuse.

That and like, Tenjho Tenge are my favourite fighting mangas.
I've been getting into Vagabond and Blade of the Immortal though.
Me and feudal Japan have had a bit of a reconcilliation.

He beats up people with irons, a razor scooter, and chopsticks. Fights a boxer, dojo of policemen, the twins... so great.

My only problem with Kiss of the Dragon is how short the ending match is. But otherwise, it was a great Jet Li flick, and definitely the best of his American movies. 3nodding

Lol I rather see that MMA "Tought" manga than a Karate manga. I dont like Karate.
And what is this Tengo Thenge (w/e) manga? I have a friend that reads it but, i dunno, he has alot of weird fansy and sword mangas so i thought it might be about the same.
