As Kiara wandered a bit further into the cave, it got even darker. She noticed various gemstones glinting here and there. As a sableye leapt out at her, she realized the gems must have been various sableyes hiding.
"Twister!" Kiara called, and the seadra sprang into battle as his trainer backed up slightly to give him room. Dust from the floor began to rise around him as he prepared his attack. Then, with a flourish, he sent the blast of dust and rocks spinning at the sableye, knocking the creature backwards. The sableye's claws glowed with a sickly black aura as it attacked back, scoring its claws down the seahorse's flank.
Aquarius's eyes glowed as it drew water from the damp air and the nearby sea, whirling it around both him and the sableye, trapping the sableye in his powerful brine attack. As he leapt out of the way, the sableye was caught by the whirling water and sent spinning. It launched a shadowball attack, which Aquarius narrowly ducked, the blob scrapping his fins and causing him to wince.
"Finish it off with Dragon Pulse," ordered Kiara, and the seadra allowed energy to build up in his mouth, before he shot out a bright orange pulsing wave. It went right through the brine and echoed against the walls, making them shake.
When the brine attack finally cleared, the sableye lay there, unconscious. Kiara congratulated her proud seahorse and the two began to look for another opponent.
Suddenly, a sneasel leaped down and landed in front of her. Aquarius attacked with another dragon pulse, but then the sneasel countered with slash, knocking Aquarius unconscious. Kiara hastily recalled her fainted pokemon and sent out Carol, her vulpix.
"Fire Spin!" The attack, though weak, did a lot of damage to the sneasel, which growled as it became trapped in a ring of fire. It retaliated with an icy wind attack, cooling the flames slightly but not harming the small fox too badly.
"Now, Confuse Ray!" The vulpix produced a dimly glowing will-o-wisp of light, and sent it spiraling towards the sneasel. As it touched the cat-like pokemon, sneasel became confused. Taking her chance, Kiara tossed a pokeball at it. It shook thrice, as the flames slowly died. Picking up her vulpix, she walked over to the pokeball and picked it up, before going to look for the group.

Cody laughed. That was just like Maddy. Battle, get what you need, and get out. In this case, the whole team got what they wanted. Now it was time to leave. Cody heaed for the entrance with Quilava behind him still holding up the flame. "Good job buddy," he said and returned the pokemon after everyone had stepped out.

Kiara followed the others out, closing her eyes to the harsh sunlight. She glanced around, then looked at her new pokemon's ball. Well, she now had an ice type, at least.

Maddy was walking at a brisk pace, staring out at the ocean as she exited the cave. As the waves buffeted the shoreline, all Maddy could think about was the miniscule fragments of the medallion that were spread throughout the vast seas. But then her mind wandered back to Ginji. She had him now, and she didn't need Cyrus.

Sammy walked into the room, trying to grin. It worked eventually (thank goodness) and she sat on the couch. "Anyone here?" She asked into the open, yawning.

Her smile turned to a look of surprise as she listened to Cody's response to her question. Obviously it wasn't an answer she expected from him. Was she that transparent?

"How di - umm,yea! That sounds good," she said with a small laugh, brushing her hair from her eyes as a brisk sea breeze disheveled her ponytail. She moved a little closer to the shore line so that her feet got wet with each breaking wave on the shore, laughing slightly as Squirtle jumped from her shoulder and started running through the waves.

Cody came bursting into HQ, not realizing Sammy was trying to sleep or that she was even there. He ran to his room, grabbed a couple pokeballs and put on a bathing suit he had picked up at the Lilycove Pac Sun. He ran back out into the common room and saw Sammy lying on the couch. "Wanna come chill at the beach with us?" Cody offered. "You don't have to get wet or anything."

Stripping down into her swimming suit, today a deep navy blue bikini with golden swirls in the material, she folded her clothes and put them in her bag, setting it up away from the water. Releasing Meowth, Seel and Sandshrew, her pokemon looked happy to be out of their pokeballs. Sel flopped down the beach to relax in the wake of the waves with Squirtle, while Sandshrew played in the sand and Meowth curled up into a ball for a nap in the sun.

"WOOOOO," she called out as she got a running start into the water before diving in and swimming under a wave as it crashed into the shore. Her head popped out of the water once she was swam a few more feet, laughing as Squirtle dove in to meet her.
