"I'm just fine," Cody half smiled and walked through the teleporter. Turning to Maddy he asked, "So, uh, where are we going exactly?"

Kiara walked up to Cody and Maddy, glancing around. "Sounds good to me," she volunteered, shrugging.

Maddy made her way along the beach, headed towards the cliff. Raine was still settled on her shoulder.
"Is running around in a dark, mysterious cave wise?" Raine had her tiny arms crossed.
"Don't worry so much, Raine."

Before they knew it, they were all standing before a tall cliff. A black hole at the base of the cliff indicated the cave.

Maddy punched the air. "Let's go!!!" She was the first to step foot into the cave, swallowed by the darkness.

As they started down the beach, Adelle released Seel from his pokeball, who looked around with that goofy grin on his face. It always made Adie laugh when she looked at him, and the thought of exploring a strange cave suddenly didn't seem so bad.

"So...any idea what we can expect in there? Just to make sure we're...you know, prepared," she said as they neared the cave, her pokemon flopping along in the sand next to her. They looked at each other as the group started into the cave, enveloped by darkness. Thankfully, the pure white coat of Seel helped her keep track of him a little bit easier.

As Quilava's fire illuminated the inside of the cave, all the Pokémon that were originally dormant sprung to life and fled into the darkness.

Maddy smirked. "Let's go chase down those Pokémon and fight some! You can fight 2-3, catch one if you want, and they seem to be a variety of Dark and Poison-types."

Cody slowly continued deeper into the cave. A Zubat appeared in front of him, ready to attack. "Peaches, let's go!" Cody shouted. The tiny mouse pokemon popped from her pokeball to face the Zubat. The mouse charged up a good amount of electric energy and fired it at the enemy. It was a direct hit and almost KOed the pokemon. The Zubat was still able to come back with a Poison Fang, sinking its teeth deep into Pichu's flesh and causing a serious side effect. The poison took its toll on the mouse but she came back strong with another Thundershock, KOing the Zubat.

Cody continued even deeper now with Pichu at his side. An Arbok slithered out of nowhere and shot a Poison Sting at Pichu, KOing her. "It's ok Peaches. Your turn Larvitar. The tiny pokemon stood strong in front of the Arbok. The Cobra was twice his size but it didn't matter. It shot out a huge ball of sludge and poison at the tiny pokemon, making him take a step back, but Larvitar let everything go with an Earthquake attack that shook the whole cave, doing a great amount of damage to Arbok. The pokemon countered with a Crunch, still not doing much to affect Larvitar. Another Earthquake and the battle was over. "Good job buddy!" Cody called and returned the pokemon.

Adelle nodded to Maddy as she said they should go out and battle the pokemon. Instantly, her eyes fell on an escaping grimer, slinking across the ground as it headed towards a gaping hole in the side of the cave.

"Dibs!," she called out as she ran after it, Seel leaping into battle as it hoped to get the wild pokemon to slow down enough for a battle to even take place. Releasing a blast of cold air towards the pokemon in an Icy Wind attack, the pokemon's speed was lowered enough. Turning to face the approaching seel and his trainer, his body suddenly thrust forwards in a pound attack, residue of the purple gunk making up it's body staining Seel's perfectly white coat. That did not bide well with her pokemon.

"Seel, aurora beam," she called out, a rainbow colored beam bursting from the horn on her pokemon's head, shooting straight towards the grimer. The light coming off the attack, cut through the darkness like a knife as it connected with the wild pokemon, slamming it back into the wall of the cave. The slimy pokemon slid down the wall, knocked out, which was just as well with Adelle. Man that thing stunk...

She started to turn around, wanting to see how the rest of the team was doing, when she suddenly heard Seel let out a yelp of surprise as a Houndour latched onto his tail with a powerful bite attack. Quickly, Adie returned her injured pokemon to his pokeball, replacing him with Squirtle in the blink of an eye.

"Squirtle, bubble attack," she called out, Squirtle looking at the small flame that protruded from its mouth. Releasing a string of bubbles from his mouth, the attack neared Houndour, who was able to miss the majority of them, though a few of the bubbles made contact with her, knocking her back a few steps. The problem was, now the houndour was angrier than before, and the next thing she knew, the air around them was filling with a thick, noxious, purple gas - a smog attack.

Adie and Squirtle coughed, though she managed to choke out an order for a rapid spin attack. Withdrawing into his shell, Squirtle started to spin quickly, launching forwards and slamming into Houndour's side, knocking it back rather roughly into the wall. The wild pokemon got back to her feet once more, shaking her head as she leered over at Squirtle, with a look that Adie could tell sent a shiver down her turtle pokemon's shell. His defenses were lowered slightly, though that did not stop Adelle from calling out for another attack.

"Water gun," she called out, Squirtle jumping into the air and sending a stream of water that was almost dodged by the wild pokemon, but not quite. As the water managed to hit the backside of the creature, Adie grabbed an empty great ball from her belt, throwing it at the wild pokemon, who disappeared in a flash of red light. The ball shook a few times, Adie holding her breath as she waited to see if she had made her catch. As the ball stopped moving, Squirtle rushed forwards, picking it up and returning it to his trainer.

"Thanks Squirt," she said, giving him a happy pat on the head as she turned to see how the rest of the Aquas was holding up in their own battles. Maddy caught a pokemon, which was cool and as she headed back towards the group, she could not help but toss her new pokemon in her hand, Squirtle jumping up onto her shoulder as she walked, smiling at the rest of the group.
