Maddy shook her head and did her best to hide the medallion from view. "He was gone for a while, and he left me all alone to die... and now he's back and he wants me to... do something for him..." She couldn't think straight, it was as if a fog had settled over her mind and she didn't know what was going on. "Ever since he came to me he's been comforting me... but now I'm scared..."

"Oh, gotcha," Cody said. "Well maybe one of your multiple personalities could say yes to my offer to take you out sometime?"

"He's only using you!" Ginji said in a higher tone of voice. "He's done nothing but try and use you for his own selfish games. You'd be better off without him, and that medallion. Besides, you have me now." he finished as he waited for a response.

Sammy chuckled a bit. "Maybe one could." Obviously, she wasn't thinking about the dangers of that; at this point, she tried not to think of that memory.

Cody smiled brightly. "So which one would I be going out with? Hopefully the one I fell in love with in the first place?"

Maddy smiled slightly upon hearing Ginji's words, but it quickly turned to a frown. "The medallion's been helping me through everything. And I know I should be rid of it... but..." She looked down at the hands concealing the medallion. "... he understands me..."

"He thinks he understands you." Ginji corrected. "The truth is that you're understanding him, you are much better then him, if it weren't for you, he wouldn't even be here. You can make him go away." he said softly, leaning closer to Maddy.

c1lyfe Cody smiled brightly. "So which one would I be going out with? Hopefully the one I fell in love with in the first place?" "Hmm...Depends. Is that the one that likes cheesy love novels and break-dancing just for the fun of it?" Sammy asked jokingly. As a matter of fact, she loved cheesy romances, and loved to dance.... Well, not break dance.

"He said that if I don't do what he said he'll let me die!" She grabbed onto Ginji, wanting to keep him close. Tears were streaming down her face. "I don't wanna die... but I don't wanna do as he says either..."

"I think so," Cody replied and laughed. "I don't think I've ever seen you with a romance novel and I know I haven't seen you dance."

Ginji hugged and held Maddy as he whispered into her ear. "But he is the one killing you. You were on the road to a full recovery, and still are, unless you let him back into your life, then he will kill you when he is done what you ask him."

"Hey! I can dance!... Well, sorta... sweatdrop " Sammy mumbled, scratching the back of her head. She winced a bit as her forehead throbbed, but quickly went back to ignoring it.

"I can't help it. It's like he's a part of me now..." She became fully aware of the cold metal of the medallion pressed against the inside of her hand. She could feel the crack that had formed down it's middle.

"I never doubted you for a second," Cody smiled and looked over at her. "Need some pills for your head?" He reached into his pack and brought out a bottle of Ibprofen.

"Do you need help letting go?" Ginji asked as he held on tighter then before. Hoping she would say 'yes', that way she hopefully wouldn't be as angry, or violent, when he carried out his plan.
