After the kid had finished eating, and Tokuno was leaning against the wall, Tokuno decided it was time for some questions. "Do you have a name?" He asked bluntly, no point beating around the bush.
"A-Arata A-A-Akiyama," Came the timid response. The boy seemed to shrink against the couch, and it made Tokuno sigh.
"Nice to meet you Arata, I'm Tokuno. I suppose you'll be staying here now, huh?" His question was met with a slight nod and a sniffle. Tokuno sighed again.

*Machante came through the door and sighed pulling off her cloak, throwing it on the couch. That was when she noticed a kid sitting on it, whimpering slightly. She raised an eyebrow, until she saw Tokuno and grinned.*
"Well, at least you're not hurt...but what did you do to this kid?"

"Er. . ." Tokuno shrugged, "Saved him, I suppose." He shrugged again, "It was the only thing I did throughout it all. I guess, I was able to save one kid, thats enough to keep me happy."

*Machante gave Tokuno a grateful smile and peered at the kid one last time before she turned and headed for the kitchen. She hadn't eaten in days, but she was feeling just tired, not in any bad state. She poured some water into the teapot, setting it on the stove and waited for it to bubble. She took out her bag of tea and tossed it on the counter. She ruffled her hair a bit and leaned on the counter, folding her arms.*

Tokuno grinned at the kid, he had already successfully eaten as much as he possibly could. "How about some sleep? You must be tired Arata?" This was met by another timid nod. "Alright then, come on. You can have my bed, how's that sound?" Tokuno reached down and took Arata's hand in his own, with a soft smile. "Come on kid, it'll all be okay." His voice was soft, it held a caring tone, one that wasn't heard often.

*Machante poured the now finished boiling water into a small cup, put in some of her tea leaves in it. She sipped it quietly, waiting for Tokuno to put the kid to bed. She almost laughed at his caring voice.*
Meh, I guess it just shows how much he cares....

Tokuno, after showing Arata his room, and doing the whole caretaker thing, leaned against the counter next to Machante. "Poor kid," He murmured softly as his gaze found her's. "Hm, so what'd you do through this so called war?"

*Machante shrugged, and suddenly she thought of Zetsu and her voice became frustrated.*
"Well, I got captured by an Akatsuki member in his venus flytrap and he took me to the sand village and spit me out there. Then I came back after a days travel and tried to help again, then that same Akatsuki member came back after me and tried to eat me. I could have handled it by myself, but since I was near Kimimaru in his demon form he shot a fireball at that Akatsuki member who by the way ran away. Then I was attacked by two other Akatsuki members, I think Deidara and Konan, but luckily I got through it, detstroying them but they ended up to be used people who just looked like them. After that I chased the other Akatsuki member and-"
*She stopped...not wanting to go back to that part. So shook it out of her head and turned to Tokuno smiling.*
"So, how is your new friend?"

Tokuno frowned slightly when he realized Machante dropped the one, instead of pushing it though he shrugged. "Asleep." He pour his own cup of water and dropped in a bit of Machante's tea leaves.

*Machante nodded and sipped her tea quietly. She noticed Gohma wasn't here...then again, he was usually never here. She peered at Tokuno and sighed.*
"Hmm, any word from Gohma yet?"

Tokuno tapped his ear with a nod. "Yeah, he was fighting Pein, and then watching Pein get decimated by Mikyo, and Sojiro. I don't know where he is now. I'm assuming still watching." He sipped his tea for a moment before setting the cup down, "I really missed you." He smiled softly, and shrugged. "But then again, I usually do."

*She made a face, trying not imagine the Akatsuki leader getting torn to peices....but she failed miserably. Machante set her teacup down and nodded at Tokuno.*
"So did I."
*She was about to ruffle his hair, but then a thought hit her. She fumbled a bit and looked at Tokuno.*
"Umm, are all the Akatsuki members...dead?"

"Hm, Gohma didn't say, but I'd assume so. It sounds as if they were all in the mutiny against Pein." Tokuno watched her thoughtfully, "Why?"

*Machante looked down at her shoes and sighed. She hoped that all of them would die, just to save the thought of them attacking again. Zetsu's last words to her buzzed through her head. She was so confused at what was going on. But it didn't matter to her....or it did but she was telling herself it didn't. She looked back at Tokuno and smiled weakly.*
"I was just wondering. Shame all of 'em didn't go."

"Mm," Tokuno murmured softly. He shifted and took Machante firmly in his arms. "Don't worry about it now, eh? I doubt they'll be a threat for a while." He gave her a reassuring smile and kissed her softly upon the lips. "Besides, it creates a bit of a damper for our reunion wouldn't you say?" Tokuno laughed, and embraced Machante tightly.
