Grr... I got called a godmodder when all I did was make a character whose abilities were sampled off of other characters I liked.
But being truly creative in this day and age is impossible. The best you can do is take the ideas you like and dress them up or change them just enough to be your own.

I believe that I'm very confused.... Why do they call Ashuraman... Shivano in UM vol. 25?
I suppose that's true Reisen.... but I think that it is possible to be truly creative even after being influenced by everything in the past.

They didn't really seem to like having too many names with 'man' in them. 8|a I'm honestly not sure why they changed his name to that but yeah, in the early anime episodes and Galactic Wrestling, his name is Shivano.
Has he kept his KAAKAKA laugh atleast?

The VA in the games kept his laugh, thank God. Anyone notice the joke with Sunshine being voiced by the same 4Kids VA who did Crocodile from One Piece?
Also, Rei, don't let whiny people like that bother you. I was called a godmodder when all I did was block a person's blows. I didn't want to fight with them, I wanted to roleplay.
Wierd thing about Ashuraman... They call his move "Ultimate Shivano Buster" but I swear in earlier volumes of UM they called it the Ashura Buster. It just makes me wonder, why? Ashura. Like a little foreign culture could harm readers. I mean, it's not KIDS reading UM. Why remove the marks on character's foreheads? Why keep the 'K' on Terry's forehead but get rid of Terryman's little Bei character on his forehead? Why replace Meat and Minch's last words with jokes about hit and runs? It doesn't make sense.

And I love Sunshine's VA. He is so awesome. XD I think he did a perfect job, considering he actually sounds a bit like the original.
And onto the discussion of godmodding. It isn't godmodding unless you control another character that isn't yours or you're insanely powerful and no one can defeat you. But there's also being a Mary-Sue.

In the...Oh no, they censored that. In the...Oh wait, they made the dialogue make out Arlong to be a retard.... In the-....Oh! Pegasus' wife. Oh, and... Um...Usopp's mom. Wow. 4Kids gets rid of death if they can. I guess it's nice, but they skip corners SOOOOO much... Anyone remember the waterguns the Navy had in the 4Kids dub of One Piece? Yeah, but that "Ultimate" wasn't the same "Ultimate" with the leg-lock. It's the one he used against Ger-Beetlebomb. Because you can't be Native American without sounding like Ringo Starr. Ironically, Mars, the person who accused me of godmodding was claiming to be "insanely powerful" and he controlled me. Oh how I love the internet.
