Illo listened, and listened more carefully as Adrian went on. At first he would merely advise the boy, but as the story progressed he found himself thinking of the past few days, then the pasts couple years and how everything was so different, in a shocking way the cold grey of the failing logic and twisted morality of this stronghold of justice kept pressing itself agains the hot black and white of his teachings until cracks began to form. He drew in a heavy mouthful of tea.
"I know how you feel," he said at last. "You came to this school to do many good things, and indeed you do have a strong sense of what is right... But nevertheless there are instances which test your convictions." He looke away to the gym class stirring lazily in the field ajacent and went on.
"When I came here, all I wanted was to serve Death for a year and return to the monastery, having attained my true power. I didn't expect what I found here." Another pour for the monk. "What did you expect to see when you came here?" The monk asked wanting to know how far this place was from what Adrian had been told. In the back of his mind he.d been wondering what he'd been told and how it stacked up to what everyone else knew about Death's operations. When he came here he didn't even know what the DMA was. He was just a demon-slayer, and if the years he'd been here had ruined everything about him they spared that.

Adrian nodded, listening to the monk's wisdom. He wished he could go back and stop himself from jumping to a conclusion."I just wonder how I could have done things differently. I guess I just jumped to a conclusion too quickly."Adrian listened to Illo's story, interested in knowing more about him. He thought about the question Illo had asked, thinking back to the day he found out he was a weapon."I never truly knew much about the school. I was told that my abilities were a gift and I needed to use them to help those who were not as gifted. I was told this was the best way to help others, a whole school dedicated to helping weapons and meisters helping others. I suppose I expected less travel to demon dimensions and less fighting with strangers."He soon finished his cup of tea, giving a small smile to Illo.""
"You shouldn't feel regret from dong what you thought was right." Illo crossed his legs into a pretzel shape on the ground and let a breeze drift through his hair as if it carried with it his next words before speaking again. "True instinct can't be taught in schools, this much I've learned in my time away from the monastery, and it is even more impossible to teach compassion." He stopped himself from explaining his sentiment, because that would dispel its meaning.
"Is see," he said starting on his next answer, "then it would seem the school has a habit of dis-informing its students. They must be quite busy. Even I don't have to pretend like I'm working anymore." It was in reference to last night, but also to so much more. Illo had plenty of threads to unravel, if Adrian had enough time and curiosity to tug away at them.

Adrian heard what Illo said and wanted to listen but he still felt some regret for his actions. He nodded"I see."Adrian looked at Illo."Oh, so umm, Illo. What do you think I should do?"Adrian knew he had some choices to make and a lot he'd have to decide for himself but he really wanted some outside help."Should I go here like I planed or should I return to Lily or maybe there is even a third option that I am unaware of? To be honest I didn't think things this complicated would happen in my first few days here."
"You should do what you think is right. You have good instincts. The only question," Illo asked, "is what you instincts tell you to do now."
"Before you decide anything," Ilo said addressing Adrians choices with the classic "no choice is a choice too," "I would advise you to learn more about both." He hinted at Lilith's true nature, or past. He wasn't sure if she'd changed from the stories he was told.

Adrian sighed but nodded"I guess you are right Illo, this is something I need to do myself."Illo's last sentence made him think, how much did he really know about either option? He'd never met lord death and he thought he knew what Lily did but wasn't to sure about the whole 'We don't kill if we don't have to' thing."Okay well, umm, is there anything you want to talk about Illo?"Adrian felt kind of bad for not asking him earlier, he didn't want the focus exclusively on him.
By this time the gym class was nearest to their circle, but still separated by a wall of trees, so that their voices brushed along their ears without any other hint or verification of the tender first-years existing. Illo put up a hand to stop Adrain's apology.
"No, that's alright. This is a confusing time, for all of us." He thought about it, looked over and back to and from the direction of the ghostly voices. "Actually," he began in a measured tone, "I'd like to know more about this man in black. What did he look like?" Illo had a hunch. Sure, there were plenty of Men in Black (tm) in Death City, the big guy included, but this seemed too recent after his sighting of someone whose soul seemed, well, not the purest. He had no qualms with him then, but Death help him if he hadn't been coated with some of the honor bullshit spraying out of the mouths of these avidjas. If he was acting on his malevolent nature, Illo the demon slayer would have to make yet another appearance.

Adrian blinked, confused why he's ask about him."Well, I only saw him for a few minutes at the most but he had blonce hair to about here."He held his hand just below his collarbone."And he was dressed in an all black suit."Adrian took a moment, trying to remember all he could without feeling bad for everything he did."Umm, other than that it was just his personality. He was a calm looking man but he just did not seem ... right? He was very rude and sarcastic like he was trying to make us upset."He suddenly slapped his palm against his head."Oh, I forgot to mention, there was also a graduated meister and a first year weapon there. The meister had some sort of sword and the weapon had some scars on her face."
"I see..." A grim shade came over Illo. With his constant bugging Cynthia last night, that strange man seemed to be trying the same tactic. Why was he trying to stir up everyone in this town? It didn't matter much to him, but Illo wouldn't stand for people acting even more batty than they already were in this hole[/stike] town. He would approach the man with a calm that was only attained through various austerities, and, if he was a maleficent demon, would kill him with the same cold fire burning in his eyes. He stood.
"I'm going to investigate him. If he turns out to be trying to cause trouble in this city, I'll stop him." He stopped himself and smiled at Adrian reassuringly. "Don't worry, I've killed thousands of demons. They aren't as strong as you've probably been lead to believe... You may come if you'd like." Was Illo so confident in his abilities that he was ready to turn this into a field trip? You'd better believe it.

Adrian nodded when Illo said he would go after the man. He began to think what he would do next since it sounded like Illo would be busy until he invited him."Oh, umm, okay Illo."Adrian stood up, wondering what would happen. He wasn't too worried about what would happen, then again he'd never seen a real fight, just that sparring match he had not too long ago with him and Lily.
"Good. This'll be a good exercise for you." Illo would then lead Adrian out of the field, but not without packing up his tea set and stashing it where no one except Adrian could find it. Brilliant!

Adrian watched Illo move his things around before smiling."I can always use some exercises."He followed Illo's lead out of the field.
Battle Rage - After taking between 5 minor hits and 2 major hits Yuna becomes enraged. She pushes beyond her limits and increases her speed and strength. She can keep this up for about two minutes. (5 posts)
Soul Perception - Yuna has the ability to see the souls of others.
Accelerated Perception - Yuna can make it feel like time has slowed down for her. It requires great focus and she can only use it long enough to dodge and counter one attack.
Shared Strength - If someone allows Yuna can borrow strength from others. This leaves them in a weakened state but Yuna cannot take strength without the other person specifically saying she is allowed to.
Fighting Styles - Yuna has been boxing almost all her life but she didn't stop there. She spent some time dabbling in kickboxing, taekwondo, and judo. Yuna's no master of these fighting styles but she can hold her own.
Yuna walked into the training field, not seeing anyone around at the moment. 'I wasn't able to train on the way here, damn small planes, might as well catch up.' She set down her bag, unzipping it and pulling out some hand tape. Yuna wrapped it around her hands and started looking around, spotting some advanced looking training dummies. She put on her combat gloves and walked up a training dummy. Yuna checked the dummy, seeing it could actually defend and attack back. She flicked a switch and turned the difficulty up to medium. Yuna raised her hands up, ready to strike at the target the moment it moved.

Yuna finished striking her target, using mainly her boxing style, not throwing too many kicks. She looked over as a man walked towards her. "Hey, not much." Yuna eyed the boy, mainly looking at his soul. "You a weapon or a meister? I'm guessing weapon, you here to train?" The man looked physically stronger than most humans she fought, she wondered how he'd fare in hand to hand combat.
