Sorry for my lack of...attendance? would that be the word here? Oh well...I be back. So what have you all been up to lately?

And for those new members I see, Howdies! (well, maybe not new...new to my eyes however.)

Has anyone done a team tourney before? Because I did one about a week and a half ago and it was fun, 1000 points per player in teams of two. (Don't worry, there were no Ultra marine/Black legion teams.) My partner and I took 3rd teamed as Eldar and Tau. (and Don't worry we had some supporting fluff for the alliance.)

Yeah, I've played Dreadnought bashes....We hold them two or three times a year, " Did you just trip my Dreadnought?" "Aiy that I did, Can't do anything next turn, and you have to roll to get up."

I also just made 60 bucks for painting some models. (Sorry, no pics of the one's I finished, they went with him to kentucky, but I still have to paint a few more and I'll take pictures.) It was a squad of space wolf scouts, Ulrich, and A rune preist, which are the two I need to finish, as well as four other space wolf scouts he asked me to paint and send to him.
All this will probably go to funding my All jumper Angels of Bone gore army. A BA spin off consisting of roughly 60 jumpers. I've got one of the models mostly painted so I'll try to get pictures of him up.

So, I just got a hold of the Orkz Kodex for the hell of it and I was wondering if GW had any intention of making a model for Kaptain Badrukk. The backstories in it are just amazing in the most Orky way possible. Taking down a Titan with a bike? Dat's ded 'ard!

You know, I like the eldar race bus some of the units need some "tweeking" I reilise that they were made this way for a reason but I think that the Eldar Rangers could be better

I made the Ballistic Skill, save better, and toughness but to equal it out I made the Leadership, Initiative and strength worse
I figured, hey these guys are meant to kill from afar so BS should be better, their not meant to be in close combat so make their Strength worse, if their shot at then they should have a better save than a 5+ come on, these guys are stealth, and to relate to the "not meant to be in close combat" i made the initiative worse. And the toughness is better to avoid being killed by close combat assault and ranged assault, but to equal that out the strength was made worse again for close combat.

I honestly think I disagree with you Avenger.
For starts, they don't really need the Extra BS, they're snipers and always hit on 2's anyways. Also, they don't need the Armor upgrade either. Most of the time they are gonna be shot at, so that means they'll have a better cover save that beats most other armor saves. Especially if they are upgraded to being pathfinders where they get 2+ to any cover they are in.( Hello two-ups in fortified buildings.) Plus, if they are in CC having a higer toughness probably won't help them out much, from a fluffy stand point they are space elves and thus fragile as hell. As for the inititative, also pointless, once again they're space elves, and so are Agile, plus if they are in cover as they should be, then the first strike goes to thme in the first round of CC, and they probably will only see one round, so giving less initiative to them would help show that point, it would play no use in the game.

And if your Snipers are in CC, well then, something didn't go right in the strategy showing a fairly downhill game most of the time.

I also think that the rest of the Eldar codex is fine, Granted I'll miss making an ACTUAL Saim-hann Army, I like the rest of the Army list. (Except the points...they're just so odd to make a list with.)


So, has anyone seen the New Chaos Demons stuff?
Because I got to look at the Store Copy at my game store, and it is awesome. Special Character Ku'Gath Throws Nurglings at people! And they 'esplode as a large blast AP 2 always wounding on 4+! It's so cool!
