Meta_Fish Pikachu is the way to go if you want to win. More like survive, probably. sweatdrop This is kinda surprising, though... I sort of blow at Pikachu in Brawl, and I don't really notice any changes aside from the obvious addition of the FS.

I find Lucas to be easier to steer, but Ness's pk fire can be really handy.
Everything is pretty much useless against Fish, though, so I just go for the red headed blue and yellow shirted alt color lucas.(Claus, I guess.)

In melee I liked using Ice Climbers and Young Link the most, followed by (in no order) -Dk -Dr.mario -Mario -Mewtwo -Peach In Brawl it fluxes between if I'm playing regular brawl or the brawl minus hack. In standard it's Zero Suit Samus Luigi Ice Climbers Lucas In minus Brawl it's Zero-suit samus Ganondorf Pokemon Trainer (Ivysaur) Wolf

I don't remember Pikachu too well from Melee, but in Brawl his forward smash reaches a lot farther. I remember noticing this at the Brawl tourney the night it came out, because the really good Pikachu player (who was in the final three with me and Yamato) seemed to already know and play around this fact, which I found interesting. It turned out he'd imported the game from Japan (likely along with a Japanese Wii) and had been practicing. But anyway, just smash them up into the air and thunder them. I think that's easier to do in Brawl, because in Melee you just rack up hits with small attacks they can't get out of until they're at almost 100% and then just do one of your ridiculous kill moves to win the round. In Brawl, Pikachu's go-to attacks are down-smash, thunder and forward-smash, but he's got a great array regardless. Still, unsure about how he was in Melee.

It seemed like for the majority of that game's lifespan, people just played the same characters, maybe one or two, with little switching, and just constantly and mindlessly beat the s**t out of one another. Towards the end I started using other characters, and man, I loved the Climbers. Do you agree, though, that they got a lot shittier in the transition to Brawl? I've talked to a few people and they thought that they actually got -better- and I just don't see how. They had the Melee-curse of having some attacks that were just ridiculously strong and good, which just seemed to kind of die in Brawl, because they don't really have any go-to attacks. Never liked Young/Toon Link really, but DK was the man in Melee. If I ever go back to Melee again (and someone slap me if I do), it'll probably be partially to just hear DK's awesome sound when he punches and headbutts. He was such a hilarious character in that game, and for so many years I just didn't notice. And hell yeah on Mario and Doc. I used both of them profusely. Mewtwo, though? Never got the hang of. I'm glad he's not in Brawl, because even if they made him a lot better (I always found him pretty terrible) he shouldn't be able to lose to a Jigglypuff or Pikachu. Not easily. Speaking of, the Pokemon Trainer should just be Red in the next game. He won't speak, and he'll just have a badass team. I LOVE RED ******** YOU IF IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE

Oh, my friend canceled because he has to study, so I'm not going to go after all. xd At least I know more about Pikachu now for next time. When I was playing Melee, I noticed that his (its?) up-smash was amazing for sending people flying to their deaths. Just spamming the c-stick and down+B = victory (against CPUs, at least) and also his recovery is incredible when you pull it off. I hate his Final Smash in Brawl, so I think that might be a big part of what makes me bad at using him then.
So yeah... Friday night party alone in my home, woo. I'm kinda sad. I was looking forward to seeing what it was like. They also had a bunch of other popular multiplayer games that I wanted to try for the first time.

I think Lucario is just as bad of a chracter as Mewtwo, except his final smash is awesome ("WATCH THE POWER" >: D). But Lucario himself is lame, and was only popular for a little while because of D/P/Pt. sad Mewtwo, however, is timeless. And you CAN battle Mewtwo in actual Pokemon games with Pikachu and Jigglypuff and win, so it's not that crazy. In the anime I guess it sort of would be.
I love how no one even mentions Pichu. xd
