Also, I remember seeing videos of Bass before he was "released" because he's in the game data, but when you download him he takes up blocks of memory. Is that just garbage code, or what?

It's probably because things can't take up less than a block of space.

This is why I'll be happy if they finally drop the concept of memory block all together. Math with decimals is great!

They're also making a Zero, Samus, and possibly Link. We don't know about that yet. Samus and Zero are confirmed, though.
