Piyo whimpered and said, "Y-you aren't going to feed me to him, are you Sakura? Please, don't let him eat me...." He curled up into a tight ball. "I- I always know what happens next... They-". The young kistune looked as if he was going to say more, but instead promptly clamped his mouth shut and fell silent.
Elfir decided that Piyo and Mew had probably made it back to the tavern now and began to head back himself. All that trudging around for nothing; all he wanted now was a good snooze. He finally arrived back at the Black Tear, but decided against entering, especially if that blue-hair witch was still there, and instead agilely made his way up to the roof, where he sat, staring at the sky.

Sakura, shaking her head, hugged Piyo to her. "No piyo, why would I feed you to him? Anyway, he drinks wine or gathered deer blood when he's here and needs satiation." She picked him up and placed him gently on the bench that lined the wall. Holding her hand over his cut forehead, her hand glowed a pale green and his skin knitted back together painlessly. To top it off, she removed her hand and kissed it once, before smiling and picking him up. "I'm going to go out there with you; where Lan is. But we will only be out there for a few minutes; I'm going to get you and elfir a room. But this hallway is the wrong one; we have to go back to the main room in order to get to the correct one and get you a room number. If you can handle being out there, in my arms, with lan in the room for two minutes; I'll even heat you a bath." She smiled before walking to the end of the hall, still shrouded in the shadows. "I'm going to go now, and you are going to stay right here while I do it, okay? I promise, you won't be hurt; he won't even touch you."

Seening Saiai's tail and leg bent weirdly, Lan placed his hand on her leg moving it enough to see if she was okay. Hearing the cries from the young fox, the young man gently gripped the young fox's ankel gently pulling on her leg back in place as she cried out and began to bite at his hand and wrist from the pain.
Releasing her leg the young man then looked at her tail next before gripping it. Straighting her tail out, lan began to push the tail also back in place. Once finished, he allowed Saiai to get up on her four legs making sure she was okay and nothing else was out of place before cuddling with her once again appologizing to her for causing her pain.

She smiled warmly down at him. "Come on Piyo; why would I let him hurt you? He wouldn't want to anyway; did you see him help that little fox out? Her leg was popped out of place, and he just fixed it. How can someone who did that possibly hurt you?" She winked at him before kneeling down to him again. "What did Elfir do to you?" Her tails curled around his comfortingly. "You will only be out there for a few minutes anyway. Don't you want a bed to sleep in?"

Piyo glared up at Sakura defensively. "Elfir didn't do anything; I was talking about the vampire!" He shuddered suddenly. "I- I don't like vampires; he's scary!! Where's Elfir at, Sakura? I want Elfir! I wanna sleep in a bed, but the vampire scares me; what if he attacks?" He moaned piteously and tried to wriggle away.
Elfir stretched and hopped off the roof, leaving his axe and shield upon his roost. Ever since he had visited his friends' graves in that cave, something had been gnawing his conscience. He walked awhile, his thoughts his own. Finally, he arrived at the frozen statue he had seen before. He looked around; it seemed he wasn't being tracked. Kneeling down in front of Sheldon's and Suii's grave, he muttered, "So... you two are gone as well? Hmp, can't say we were the closest of friends; we coexisted at the most, but..." Elfir sighed and sat indian style in front of the grave. "You'll definetly be missed; more than I could say for me..." he chuckled harshly and sat, chatting some more to the statue and him beneath it.

Doreyu, padding softly out from beneath the tree behind the man, sneered cynically and waved his crooked tail mischievously. "What are you up to peasant? Trying to steal her ruby eyes?"
Sakura, sympathetically cradling the boy close to her to hide him from the world, sighed and explained his options. "I could sleep in the room with you, that way if anything scared you, I'd be the first to know. Or we could get elfir in there with you; he's out on the roof like he always is." She gently rocked the small fox boy. "And you would like a bath, whether you want to admit it or not. I can feel it." Her tails rubbed at his stomach in an attempt to make him laugh. She rounded upon the subject of Lan again. "He's not that scary. If you really are that afraid, close your eyes when we go out there; I promise it will take me only a few minutes to get your room key and get up the stairs."

Elfir turned towards the miscreant briefly, but said nothing, returning his gaze to the grave and continuing his whispering.
"But if I close my eyes, then how'll I know what the vampire's doing?! What if he lands right in front of my face?? And I dun wanna bath! I don't like baths! Eeg!" He began to squirm once more, though giggling from the tickling tails. "How'd Elfir get on the roof? Can he fly? Can you take me up there with him?"

"If i take you out there, I have to cross the same room i would to get your room key." She smiled at the small demon boy. "He can't fly; no." she smiled at him. It will only take a few minutes. I promise I will not let the vampire do anything to you." she stopped tickling his and just held him to her with her tails. "come on Piyo, you want to see elfir don't you?"

"yeah, I wanna see Elfir, but... you don't understand!! I don't like vampires!! If he wanted to hurt me you couldn't stop him, either!" Piyo crossed his arms and pouted. "I'm gonna stay right here.... where I'm safe..."

"I could stop him, I can over power him. Be it with power, or by messing around with his brain." she sighed again. "How about if I go out there and talk to him and ask him to leave the room so that we can go through it. would that help?" She smiled weakly at Piyo, picking him up and holding him in her lap as she talked; petting his ear with her own. "If he needs to feed he can feed off of me, not you. He would have his choice of every person in the building."

But Piyo shook his head obstinately. "No; Sakura; I just.. I'm... you don't know what I saw a vampire do.... If you ask him to leave cuz of me, he'll get mad and then he'll haunt me! He'll come in my room while I'm sleeping, and- so much blood!!" Giving a violent shudder, Piyo forcefully jerked away from the elder kitsune girl and hurtled into a corner, drawing his knees up to his chin, his eyes staring ahead distantly; it seemed he was lost, reliving some past experience.

She sighed and crept closer to him, putting her arms around him and hugging him. "Easy Piyo. It's okay. Shh." She picked him up and sat in the corner herself, him in her lap. "Alright, I won't force you to do anything. But, can you maybe tell me what you saw a vampire do?" her tails wrapped around his comfortingly as she rocked him gently, letting him know that she would protect him.

For once, young Piyo did not struggle; instead, he twisted around in Sakura's lap and hugged her waist firmly, eyes still staring off into the distance, as he latched on to her. Finally, after several minutes of silence, he looked up at her, his face pallid, and whispered, "You really won't let anything happen to me? I... I'll go with you... Will you try to keep me hidden while we're walking?"

"I'll hold you liek this while we are walking. I promise you; nothing will happen." She smiled at him as she rubbed his back in a soothing manner. "Just relax Piyo. It will be alright." She stood up slowly. cradling him gently as she turned around and walked towards the end of the hall, where a warm glow from the lighting was casting shadows, she hugged him tightly. "You will be fine." Her tails rubbed his back to soothe his ecstatic breathing before she stepped out into the main room. seeing Lan sitting down at a table, she nodded to him once before walking across the room; slowly so as not to shake Piyo up.
