Nanu gasped as she was pinned to thewall, a knife to her throat "I-It was you!" shesaid "Woukd would you do this?"

[Exactly! -pats self on back because I don't get that many ideas-]
"Because I am tired of working under that sad excuse of a pharaoh and watching my son suffer. Seto is the one person who I won't allow to lose his dignity because of some whore. I'm fine with the pharaoh doing the same with you, but only because I know that Seto will rise up and dethrone Atem." Akhenaden really had quite a bit to get of his chest, and he didn't see any problem with unloading it on this girl who he was going to kill. "I had to take matters into my own hands. This was the perfect way." Atem stirred and then blinked himself awake. Nanu was no longer here, but the spot where she had been was still warm. Smiling a little, he nuzzled into the warmth, hoping she would be back soon so he could snuggle with the real thing.

"Of course." Akhenaden said darkly, the blade digging into her throat, blood dripping down. Brief flashes of the night at Kul Elna went through his mind, and he knew that he was, indeed, terrible. But what else could be expected? "It's who I am now. If I had known you would be so troublesome, I would have preferred to kill you months ago, when nobody would miss you." He said this last part to himself as he considered the situation. If he killed her, would he be blamed? Not if nobody saw. There was no way he could leave her alive... or could he? His Millennium Eye glew slightly and he considered banishing her mind to the realm of shadows that had been created from the Millennium Items. No, too much hassle.

Nanu nowangery growled "I wont let you do this!" nanu said. When she saw the glowing she reached up andrioughly poked both his eyes.

Akhenaden hissed and pulled away, rubbing at his eye with his free hand. Realizing that Nanu might try to get away, he slashed the dagger wildly, aiming low.

Nanu jerked as the dagger ore acrossed her stomach. Ignoring the pain she grabed the wrist that held the tagger and twisted it the wrong way snapping hiswrist. she grabbed the rod and kicked him in the balls before running to atem;s room. Her hand was on her stomach trying to stop the blood flow. She burst into atem's room "Atem Atem!" she yelled.

Atem jumped at the loud and sudden entrance, and promptly fell off his bed. He got up a bit slowly, rubbing his eyes. "By the gods, what is it?" He asked, his voice thick with sleep.

"Th-that priest...with the glowing eye...the old one..he...he had the rod..." nanu was now woozy from blood loss. Blood trckled out of her mouth. She reached up setting the rod in his lap "I..I need to sit down now..." she said colapsing on the floor.

"Nanu!" Atem ignored the Millennium Rod, his attention completely on Nanu. He saw instantly where the blood was coming from and grabbed a pillow, pressing it against her midsection. He didn't glance up when he heard someone walk to the doorway. "Go get help! She's bleeding badly!" He snapped, looking up. He gasped when he saw that it was Akhenaden, and Nanu's words suddenly hit him. Akhenaden was the one who... Growling, Atem wished he could get to his feet and fight, but now he had to deal with Nanu and make sure she didn't die. "You! Why... why would you do this?" "I've already answered that question." Akhenaden said flippantly, no longer caring what happened. He had been found out, and now was the perfect time to strike. "You shouldn't be so surprised though, pharaoh. I was just surprised that my intentions hadn't been obvious from the beginning." He kicked out, his foot connecting with Atem's face sharply. Atem was thrown backwards at the surprising strength from the old man, and Akhenaden put his foot on Nanu's neck, grinding his heel in. "Who do you think it was who let Bakura into the palace earlier today? Who was it that took over your mind? And you're asking why." He laughed, throwing his head back into a full-blown cackle.

As he grided his heal into her neck more blood spat out of nanu's mouth. she struggled to breath her eyes dilated.

Atem gingerly held his hand to his nose, which was bleeding profusely. He shouted when he saw what Akhenaden was doing. "Stop it! Let her go!" He yelled, getting to his feet. "She didn't do anything to deserve this. Deal with me if you have a problem with me." He honestly had no idea what Akhenaden's objectives were, but he didn't want Nanu to die. Akhenaden lifted his foot and sneered, crossing his arms over his chest.
[Since your characters are all passed out, I'll do a skip in the next post. Hold on for a little bit.]

[Ah, she's not? Very well, then.]
"I want your life, pharaoh." Akhenaden hissed, then lunged for Atem. Atem snatched up the Millennium Rod, which Nanu had placed in his lap just before collapsing. Akhenaden, mad with rage and possibly other things, was only attacking with his bare hands. He froze when his entire body jarred, and then looked down to see the Millennium Rod protruding from his chest. "Phar..." He wheezed, then spat out an excessive glob of blood, and then his entire body went limp. Atem stood, wide-eyed, where he was as Akhenaden collapsed. His hands were shaking and covered with blood, and he looked down at his uncle. He ripped the Millennium Rod from his body, resheathing it, and then ran over to Nanu, cupping her face in her hands. "Nanu? Are you awake? Can you hear me?"

Nanu had moved slightly during everything. Her internal organs were starting to spill out of the large stomach wound. Nanu spat out more blood,she had started to shake her body going into shock "I-I-I l-l-love-y-y-you" she sputtered out.
