PyroXTech In my codex I saw that for terminator command squads it listed that you can only have terminators with guns. So is it possible to have a close combat terminator command squad? Unfortunally no, but this can be "rule-bended" by having terminator assault squad and just placing the commander/librerian/chaplain in it. There´s really no big difference between terminator squad and terminator command squad, only that on TCS you can have all 3 commanders in one squad and count it as one HQ-slot on force organization slot.
So far only Dark Angels Deathwing company with Master Belial has the option of having CC-terminator command squad (Normal terminator squad with both terminator squads and terminator assault squads weapon options and such, plus Belials Apothecarion and Standart Bearer upgrade rule.)Sgt_OBrien It doesn't in SM codex I'm pretty sure, but does in the DA codex. Lt. Brookman Why not? Is it some fagged up Dark Angels rule that prevents you from using it like that? Anwser is Yes... and No. There is no rule that officially would prevent such thing. It´s the wargears option part that makes it otherwise. sergeant is normally armed with boltpistol and bolter-or-chainsword/combat blade-or-shotgun, he may REPLACE boltpistol with plasma pistol and BOLTER with power weapon or -fist. So no powerfist/shotgun combination. gonk

Interesting. Wonder if they plan on making rules for it or just for show?

Looks interesting. Althou I have to honestly admit that it looks more like a ForgeWorld creation then GW´s. sweatdrop It could be quite neat to have chaplain/librarian based dreggys in the game. ninja

Well, I converted a Veteran Scout Sergeant to have a powerfist. Haven't got him in many fights yet, but I figure he should work about as well as a regular Marine with a fist. Here's some quick shots of him unpainted from my DevArt. The powerfist came from a Guard L.T. that I'm converting for something you'll all find out about later, the head was converted from an Empire head, and the boltpistol arm was a quick weapon swap.

Judging from that picture it looks as though marines can ride in Deathwind drop pods. If that is the case than GW has officially lost their marbles and cunted out on the marines.
Source is June's WD I take?

ah why cant tactical sergeants have shotguns... it doesnt seem right not to, after all, the genetic therapy and power armour gives thm strength to hold most weapons one handed, so why not a shotgun/powerfist combo on a power armoured sergeant?
*drools*... duel shotguns....
also, talking of mixing squad weapons, i have a pretty sweet looking conversion i did recently of a power amoured marine with a sniper. he has the marine commander helmet with the 3 lenses over one eye, and has kit packs and stuff, as if he works alone, does reconnassaince missions, etc. i like to give my s a story. he is part of my ad.mech themed command squad, along with my australian marine, Dane, with a plasma gun on 1 hand and a combat knife in the other (which of course is purely for looks) he also has a sculpted hat (like a cowboy hat kinda thing... i know the name, but i cant think of it)

Because shotguns are useless and boltguns are holy?
Think of it more in a fluff perspective, boltgun shells are stronger than todays grenade launchers I think, and shotguns are... like todays shotguns... xD
But in a way it seems cool, yet useless. :'3
