Before he knew it, Kasiya had disappeared. "Y-yeah. Could your mom get me in, Dante? I know Violet was rather fond of me the one time I met her, so perhaps...?" he let out a light laugh and scratched the back of his head. Then he realized that Flygon was a bit too big to be going into the Contest Hall all willy-nilly. He recalled the Dragon-type and put the ball in his belt, then rocked back and forth on his heels. "I'm totally ready to go," Kilik nodded. This Breeder's Gala thing didn't really seem like his sort of thing, but if Mitsu was insisting he go, he couldn't see why it would hurt. After all, he wanted to make his last night in Hoenn a good one. Suddenly, that hit him like a ton of bricks. This was his last night in Hoenn. The last night he had in the region he grew up in. I won't be able to come back here, or to the Kanto and Johto regions for quite some time... Kilik thought with a slight frown as the trio walked, I wonder if Koga's doing well. I won't be able to see him... a sigh escaped him. On the bright side, he thought, Giovanni won't be able to find me either! He suddenly started laughing then clamped his hands over his mouth when he looked over at Mitsu and Dante, his cheeks becoming pink.
"Don't mind me!" he laughed nervously, "Just thinking to myself, is all. I thought of a...uhm, really funny joke." Nice recovery.
-*-
So far, no word on London's mission. Giovanni was growing impatient with the boy. Tapping his foot, he got an idea. He turned on one of the intercoms and sent a message through the entire building. "Mai!" he barked, "To my office, immediately." The man leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. If the boy wasn't going to complete the mission, he'd have Mai do it. Plus, she's sly and slippery enough to put trackers on all the children that will be headed towards Sinnoh in the morning. A smirk appeared on his face.
An idea was brewing in his head. Yes, an evil idea. Through his many failures, this was one he was sure would be a success. However, the scientists who worked on the original project were deceased. "Perhaps if I bring up the Mewtwo files..." he whispered to himself, thumbing through the files in his desk, "I've been thinking about this for quite some time and I believe that now is the best time to start work on my ultimate weapon!" He let out a laugh and placed his hand on his face, laughing into it. "Yes...A plan that will bring me limitless power!" He slammed his fist on the desk, trying to contain himself. He was beside himself with a mixed set of emotions. "Team Rocket will be feared once more!"
Even the scientists many feet below his office could hear his echoing laugh. Chills ran down their spines.

Keegan flopped down in the first seat he came across and looked around. So far, he didn't see anyone he knew, but he considered that to be a good thing. In the back of his mind he also couldn't help but wonder what kind of egg Riza was after, though at the rate she spent money today he figured she wouldn't have a problem getting the funds together for one. I wonder if she could get it from my parents' facility... he wondered idly, leaning back and putting his feet up on the table. Perhaps he'd introduce her to them later, if by chance he got his confidence up. He glanced over at the raven-haired girl, once again finding himself to be quite taken in by her appearance. Though somewhere in the back of his mind he couldn't help but quietly wonder what kind of dress Kasiya would have worn to the Gala had circumstances not changed so dramatically. He sighed and closed his eyes, trying not to let it get to him. After all, perhaps some things were just not meant to be. ===== The punk narrowed his eyes when he saw the resilient Machop get back up to her feet, and his Zubat let out a pained shriek as the Karate Chop connected with its underbelly. "Enough playing around!" the punk shouted. "Zubat, TAKE THAT MACHOP OUT NOOOOWW!" he bellowed loudly. The severe increase of volume in it's trainer's voice spurred the little blue and purple bat into action, and wings glowing once again, it flew towards the Machop, preparing to land the felling blow.
Without meaning to, Miharu looked away from the battle. Even though she hadn't known Tyra and her Pokemon for more than ten minutes, she still didn't want to see the Machop get beaten down.

"Oh bloody hell," Lilah murmured as the many Staravia moved as one, each speeding like a bullet towards her precious Glameow. "Uh... just try to use your senses, Glameow! Bite whichever one you think is the real one!"
The cat nodded, though she wasn't quite sure that was something she could do easily. Her ears quivered slightly as she braced herself for the attack, gritting her teeth as she felt a pair of wings slamming into her sides. Without hesitation the Glameow whirled around to face the direction she was sure the attack had come from, and she lunged forward, hoping to land a nasty Bite to the Staravia and make it think twice about getting near her again.
=-=-=-=-= Hopefully the water will slow him down some, Misty thought, watching as Starmie's health was fully recovered just in time for the Yanma to strike again. Water and bug's wings don't mix very well. Starmie shook off the attack and began to swim for the water's surface, already anticipating it's mistress' next command. "I hate repeating attacks, but it's the best we've got right now," Misty murmured, making a mental note to get her hands on a Shock Wave TM in the future. "Starmie, hit it with another Swift attack!"
The Mysterious Pokemon shot out of the water, spinning like a top until it came to a standstill and let another barrage of glimmering, golden stars in the general direction of the Yanma, knowing they would pick the proper target and hone in on him.

Mitsu couldn't help but laugh at Kilik's lame excuse. Though she tried to stifle her laughter, it didn't quite work and came out as a half giggle and half cough. She cleared her throat carefully. The trio had been headed toward the Gala now, still under dressed. Men and women, even some trainers, who were heading in the same direction were decked out in their best suits and most sparkly gowns. She couldn't help but idly think that some of them lacked a sense of fashion and had over done their attire. Especially the woman with the cherry red lipstick and up-do that looked like it was as stiff as stone from all the hairspray she used.
The sky was darkening now and outside the entrance was a path of glowing lights hung up in scallops to direct their patrons to the gala. But as the three trainers neared the entrance they were halted by a man in uniform. "You three don't look like you belong here. Not to mention you're not dressed for the occasion," he said in the most official tone he could muster, "Besides, you don't even have tickets."
Mitsu smiled sheepishly, "Uh Dante, think you can explain to him that your mom's got our stuff?" She looked at him as she spoke. She didn't take out her ticket just in case the man had let Dante and herself through but not Kilik. As it stood, however, the man looked fairly insistent on banning them from the gala.

"Well, are you ready to go?" Alex asked. She admired her self in the mirror one last time then turned to her sister. Sere still looked very nervous about the whole thing, but other than that she had to admit to her self that her baby sister has just about grown up.
"I am. Lets get going before I loose my nerve." Sere said. She took her sister's hand and the two of them walked over to the gala.
Serenity had to admit that she was surprised by the turn out. There was quite a few people there. She also felt a bit comforted that her sister was right, they were not the only ones that had gone all out for this thing. Almost everyone in the whole place was wearing a ball gown of some sort, or a tux. She spotted Riza and Keegan sitting together at one of the tables. Riza looked quite amazing in her deep red dress, and Keegan looked quite dashing in his tux. The fact that he no longer had bruises on his face wasn't lost on her. Neither was the fact that he probably didn't use make up to cover them up. 'I wonder if I should have found a way to get healed like that?' Sere thought. 'Nah. I kind of enjoy the fact that I have stories to tell now.'
Alex was already starting to mingle in with the crowd. Serenity wished that she was half as able to start conversations as her sister was. For the most part Sere had resigned her self to sitting at a table alone for the rest of the night. At least it was bound to be a quieter night than last. She hoped that she had seen enough trouble until she got her bearings over in Sinnoh. While she appreciated the excitment some, a constant dose of it was far more than she could take.
Sere watched as Alex predictably disapeared into the crowd, leaving her alone. She looked back over to Riza and Keegan's table. She gave a small wave to at least let them know that she saw them before sitting in one of the empty seats at another table.

Tyra watched in horror as the wings connected against the skin of Freya. The Machop fell to the ground to both knees. She refused to let out the whimper she could feel in her throat it was bad enough she was down. Hunter howled as she saw the disappointment in the Machop’s eyes. Tyra’s heart fell. Freya had lost. She pulled out the pokeball and recalled her friend. Placing it back she looked down at Jiro who had already ran back on the field. Tyra nodded to him and he started up with his rainbow waves. It will be okay girl, head back into town and heal ya up...you did good.
Violet eyed girl watched as the Machop went down and she cheered on her friend.

Dante wasn't to surprised when they were halted at the door due to their lack of attire and tickets. "Hm, well then you would be wrong. My mom should have left some tickets with you to let us in as well a few outfits for us to wear. Her name is Violet Remington." Dante answered the man in a somewhat bored tone of voice, he hoped though that his mom had indeed left them outfits. As much as he hated dressing up he didn't want to be stared at all night long for being so out of place either.
When Dante mentioned the name Violet Remington a sort of stupid and happy look appeared on the guards face. "Oh, Violet." He laughed slightly a his face starting to flush.
Not very happy with the look on the mans face at the thought of his mom Dante glared at the man and desecretly stomped hard on his foot. "Yes Violet Remington, shes my mom."
"Gah ouch kid!" The man glared at Dante for a moment before his words sunk in. "She's your mom! I thought she was just kidding earlier. Anyway yeah she left some stuff for you." The man went over and started to riffle though a coat closet looking for whatever his mother had left them. Dante could only watch with a somewhat irritated look on his face, honestly he didn't know what his mom was wearing tonight but he had a feeling it would not be good for his state of mind. When the guard returned he was holding two bags and a small envelope. "The tickets are in here kid, I all ready checked them and you three can go in. Here's the stuff she dropped off to. You guys can go change in a bathroom down the hall."
Taking the bag from the man Dante handed one to Mitsu and taking the other for himself before turning to Kilik. "Sorry I didn't tell my mom you needed clothing. I got you in though." Dante shrugged before looking at his bag and hoping what was inside wasn't a dress. "Anyway I am going to go change." He muttered before going inside and heading towards the bathroom the guard mentioned Hera following him in.
~~~~~~~
"It's out of the water Raz! Use your Quick Attack to hit it before it falls back in!" Robin didn't really want to send Raz back under water if she didn't have to. She knew those Swift stars would hurt when they connected but she was sure that if Raz couldn't fly that would hurt them more in the end.
Glowing once more as his Speed Boost came again Raz dashed forward as quickly as he could momentarily out running the stars. He only hoped that he landed a hit when the stars smashed right into his back. Faltering in mid air Raz fell some before catching himself and boosting his tired body back up into the air.
Watching Raz keep getting hurt like this Robin hoped that he would be ok after this. There were two problems with this fight that Robin was just realizing now. There was no way Raz could really go underwater and he really didn't have any ranged attacks. Well she couldn't change that now but Robin was determined that after this battle she would go and see what she could do to change at least one of those things.
Hidden Machine number five? Karrigan repeated mentally, closing her eyes and trying to remember which ones were which. She knew the ones in Sinnoh where different than in the other three regions and that they were hoping to streamline them all to make it easier, but she wasn't sure how well that would go over. She also had no idea which badge would allow the use of that HM here in Kanto, as she could barely remember which ones were required back in her home region.
"Likewise," Karrigan said politely, inclining her head slightly as the oddly-dressed young man took his leave, though Karrigan couldn't help but feel a bit of unease creeping up through her stomach as he left. Just relax, she told herself, looking over towards Bill as he continued to study the Porygon. Karrigan had seen only one other before, and it had been one of the first opponents Candice had ever faced when she assumed the role of Gym Leader back in Snowpoint. This one was coloured differently though, and silently she wondered if this was one of those 'shiny' Pokemon she'd heard of. Before she could ask Bill about it, however, she felt one of her Pokeballs shake violently and burst open, it's captive escaping in a bright flash of light. Letting out an excited cry, Zaira, Karrigan's very energetic Shinx went tearing off in a random direction which also happened to be the same way Venerax had started to head, only the poor little Shinx didn't realize there were stairs and several thuds and a loud crash later she came to a stop at the bottom of the stairs, looking a little dazed but otherwise fine. "Oh, Zaira..." Karrigan mumbled, looking back and forth between Venerax and Bill. "Sorry about that, she's very hyper..."
=-=-=-=-= Having just recovered from firing off it's attack, there was nothing Starmie could do to keep the speedy Yanma from crashing into it, and the two Pokemon seemed to tumble through the air before the Yanma regained it's balance, leaving a helpless Starmie to tumble down into the pool, though the water did quite a bit to break it's fall.
"Oh, this is getting good," Misty giggled, rubbing her hands together before pointing at Raz, very much aware that Starmie's core gem was beginning to blink slowly, signaling that it's energy was starting to run out. "Now use Water Pulse!" she commanded. Again Starmie surfaced, this time a sphere of water forming at it's core before it was hurled towards the tired Yanma, or at least what the duo hoped was the actual Yanma.
Mitsu too felt rather irritated at the guard. He sure seemed like a rather stupid fellow. But, hey, not everyone in the world possessed brains, or even common sense for that matter. A smug smile appeared on her face when Dante gave the man's foot a good stomping. He deserved it!
She accepted the bag from Dante with a kind smile. "I'll have to thank her later tonight," Mitsu said, "I would have been in trouble if it weren't for her." She nodded as Dante left down the hall. She took a quick peek inside the bag to make sure the guard hadn't swapped the bags by accident. Nope, the contents looked much more like a dress than a tuxedo. "I'll see you inside okay Kilik?" she replied giving him a warm smile before too departing down the hallway.
Luckily there was more than one bathroom. She opted to take the one on the right side of the hall as the little blue sign indicated it was for women. She shut the door. It was a one person kind of bathroom, very roomy and definitely decorated in the theme of the gala. She undressed and placed all her folded clothes into her bag, luckily it was fairly big. She slipped the gown over her head and zipped it up on the left side. It seemed that Violet had had everything thought out. Paired with the dress were some high heels, which she had to admit she didn't have much experience in walking with them. She also clipped a pearl necklace that hung fairly close to her neck. Mitsu tried to do her hair as best as she could, luckily the planners had counted on their guests needing to fix their hair and whatnot and had several supplies located in a small woven basket on the counter. She twisted the ends of her hair into big curls. She didn't want a curly fluff ball for a hair style anyways. Holding the can of hairspray she remembered the lady from earlier and opted to not give her hair an unhealthy dose of the chemical spray. Finishing her hair, she clipped a few rhinestone studded clips onto the right side of her head, where her side swept bangs were.
Outfit complete she stepped out of the bathroom. The gown she wore come up just above the knee and was a dark purple color. It almost matched her hair, it was just a shade or two lighter. Small rhinestones that matched her hair clips also spotted the dress's hemline. The fabric itself was a smooth silk. The neckline dipped into a V-shape that was just low enough to be interesting but at the same time it wasn't revealing. The pearls were a perfect compliment to the rather simple satin gown. And her high heels were just the perfect match for the dress. Violet had even been kind enough to include a small clutch in a pearly white shade. Inside she stuffed her money, Pokenav, and miniaturized Pokeballs.
"Violet couldn't have picked a more perfect dress," she said with a smile. Now she just had to find a place for her bag and the white bag that all their lovely dress items had been in. Perhaps she could place them at Violet's stand, they were bound to visit her after all.
Kilik was awfully impressed with the way Dante handled things. Evidently, Dante was a very calm indvidual. Stomping that guard's foot was the most emotion he'd ever see him put forth. He walked inside with the other two, but was rather disheartened when he realized he would be the most underdressed person in the entire Gala. "Sure, see ya," he replied rather absent-mindedly to Mitsu when she walked off. He sighed a bit. "Maybe Mom had the foresight to give me a tuxedo..." he shrugged, pulling his backpack off. He knelt down and opened it, a little out of the ways of the door so people could go in and out without him being in the way. A slight smile appeared on his face when he found a lumpy white bag stuffed into his backpack with a note. He opened it quickly and read it: "Just in case you decide to become a Contest Master like your mother in Sinnoh. Love, Dad." Kilik felt his lips turn into a smile, "Good ol' Dad!" He laughed, tucking it under his arm and zipping the backpack up. He walked into the men's bathroom and jumped into a stall, quickly pulling off all of his clothes. Now that he wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb, he felt a little bit more excited about this Gala.
He put the package on top of the very clean toilet seat cover. He had never seen a bathroom so clean before - must be because of not only the Gala, but this being a Contest Hall anyway. Kilik opened it up and pulled out a pair of gray colored slacks. He put them on and zipped them up, buttoning them with fumbling fingers. He took a step out of the stall to look at himself in the mirror. "Gray could be my color!" he laughed with a light echo. He heard an older man cough in another stall and he jumped out of fright, walking back into his stall. He let out a quiet sigh and pulled on the white dress shirt inside. With a groan, he unbuttoned and unzipped the slacks, tucking his shirt in then closing them up again. Kilik peered out of the stall again, seeing the old man was now washing his hands. He was a very large person and looked slightly familiar. "Grossberg?" he whispered. When the man looked around to see who had said his named, Kilik slipped through the door and shut the stall. I know him! That's my dad's escavation partner! What's he doing here? he thought, He didn't seem much like a breeder to me!
Shaking the whole idea from his head, Kilik slipped on the black bowtie his dad had been so kind to include. All that was left was the coat, which looked to be the same color as the suit his dad always wore: that rich crimson color. He took it out and slipped it on, a perfect fit. The coat-tails went down to the backs of his knees; it was a very elegant coat. It had gold studs where the coat met his pants and on the wrists of the cuffs. There were no buttons. "I guess I leave the coat open..." he said to himself, looking back in the package. Beneath the coat were black dress shoes, white gloves and even a monocle. The shoes were just the right size and the gloves fit like a charm. He looked through the lens of the monocle - it must have just been glass, because his vision wasn't obscured at all. He put it on and stepped out of the stall, stuffing his normal day clothes into his backpack, along with his fannypack and Pokeballs. A smile spread on his face. "Look out Gala, Kilik's lookin' fine tonight." He stepped out of the bathroom, and handed his backpack to one of the guards of the Gala, who kindly put it in the back room. "Now where did Mitsu get off to?" he said, putting his hands in his pockets and walking out into the crowd. She's probably find me easier. I'm taller than everyone else here, and my hairstyle isn't exactly common.
Kasiya had followed Cynthia inside the Contest Hall, unable to quell the dread she felt building up inside, and yet it only managed to get worse as she was quickly lead through a side door and into an area which Kasiya quickly determined to be a kitchen. There were already quite a few people in there, most of whom were busy cooking or baking or otherwise preparing some kind of food, all of which smelled absolutely amazing, and when her stomach grumbled angrily Kasiya realized she'd not eaten anything since breakfast back at Professor Oak's lab. I'll remedy that sometime tonight, she thought, uttering a silent apology to her Pokemon, certain that their poor bellies were just as empty as hers. Some of the chefs and cooks disregarded her all together, but others offered friendly smiles and waves, and these simple gestures were enough to help ease the tension Kasiya felt. Before long she and Cynthia arrived in a room near the back of the hall, and Kasiya suspected it was mostly for coordinators to get ready before contests and whatnot.
"You probably won't see much of the kitchen, I think," Cynthia explained as she shut the door behind them. "From what I understand, Saul wants you to stick mostly to the floor and probably the bar area. Ooh, here's your uniform. It's pretty cute, if you ask me. Here, put it on, and let me know when you're done so I can help you with your makeup."
"Make...up?" Kasiya repeated, already unzipping the garment bag to peek inside. "You're kidding.... right? Please tell me you're kidding!"
"Well, no," Cynthia answered honestly, looking a little hurt. "It's just that..." she trailed off, trying to rearrange her thoughts so she wouldn't sound rude. "In case you haven't noticed, you look a little beat up, and I think it would give you a tremendous confidence boost if we covered up some of those bruises and brought out your features. Your eyes are an amazing shade of blue," she added, nodding as she stepped out of the room. "Now get dressed, you still haven't met Saul yet and he's gonna want to give you the tour himself."
The door closed behind her, leaving a very confused and worried Kasiya behind. She pondered Cynthia's words as she stripped down out of her normal clothes and carefully folded them before placing them in a neat pile on top of her backpack. She started with the skirt, which actually wasn't so bad, except for the fact that it was stark white and both sides of it had slits that extended up to her hips to allow easy and quick movement. There was also an airy, white collared blouse that fit quite nicely, though Kasiya thought it was rather boring until she discovered the navy blue vest that was to be worn over top. The finishing touch was a red (clip-on) bowtie that added the professional air to the uniform, as well as black pumps that easily gave her another three inches of height, though all she had left to do now was add her nametag. She noted that Cynthia had left it blank and she fumbled around until she found the black Sharpie she was certain she had stuffed somewhere in her backpack, and she pulled up a chair to use as a makeshift desk. She'd just about started to write out her name when she stopped, and sighed. If Cynthia's makeup job went well enough, she probably wouldn't be recognized by her friends at all and thus save herself a world of embarrassment at the same time. Smiling slyly she carefully printed out the same name she'd given that little boy she'd battled earlier that morning - Rachael. Now that she was finished with that she clipped it to the left breast-pocket and looked at herself in the mirror. The outfit was nice enough, but the person wearing it caused her to scowl in disgust. "Yuck," she murmured, sticking her tongue out at her reflection and pretending to act surprised when her actions were mirrored. She quickly yanked out her ponytail and brushed out her blonde hair before flipping it up into a terra-twist style ((think my current avatar's hair, but not white)) and carefully positioning her bangs so that her stitches were carefully hidden behind a thick lock of hair. Now, all she needed was that makeup and she'd be done.
Train yawned, happily setting foot in Pewter once again, Pikachu right on her heels. She was glad to be back in her own region, and a more familier part at that. Plus, she wanted to finally challenge Brock! Well, challenge him and actually have a change of winning. She'd train her Pokemon a bit more first, though. Especially her timid little Oddish. Couldn't have the poor thing freezing up in the middle of the fight--especially since she was the only one with type ADvantage rather than DISadvantage!
Train thought about how lucky she was to have stumbled upon the Grass- and Poison-type. She felt bad for the Pokèmon, of course, as she had obviously been abused, but Train was determined to make sure that Oddish saw that most people were actually pretty nice. She'd have to get right to training...after some sleep.
Train stepped into the Pokemon Center and asked for a room. Key in hand, she headed down the hall until she came upon the door with a matching number, and, after letting herself in and quickly changing into her pajamas, collapsed on the bed and fell asleep shortly after.
This time, the Fire-type curled herself into a ball and began to roll towards the Raichu at an alarming speed, her rosy-form suddenly bursting into flames as she neared the mouse. Shocker's eyes were wide again as she knew that attack - it was Flame Wheel, Hiro used it all the time - and she had no intentions of getting hit by it. Crouching down onto all fours she nimbly jumped out of the way, sparks flaring from her cheeks. Before she even landed again she'd sent out a strong bolt of electricity careening towards the Typhlosion, and she smirked defiantly as it struck Kero only a split second after she'd stopped her attack. The Typhlosion let out a roar of pain as the powerful electricity surged through her and it was enough to bring her to her knees, and snarling fiercely she slowly turned to glare at the Raichu, angrier than before, if even possible.
It was at about this time that Giovanni's booming voice reverberated through the entire complex, and it caused every single pair of eyes to turn towards the ceiling. Mai sighed and shook her head. "What could he want now...?" she muttered, quickly putting herself between the two Pokemon so they'd stop attacking each other. "Kero, your anger is blinding you into getting attacked freely by your opponent. You need to calm yourself, otherwise you're going to get trounced. And you," she then turned to the Raichu, but her scowl softened a little. "Very good. I'm impressed. You can come with me. Kero, you stay behind and train with Tanker. I'm still disappointed with you two." She recalled her Espeon, Flygon and Glalie before signaling the Raichu to follow her. Shocker's eyes were wide as saucers yet again but she decided not to question Mai's sudden attitude change, though she was a little sorry that her match with the pink Typhlosion had to end so soon. She was sure that Kero was still growling at her as she followed the Rocket Admin out of the battle arena, and just for fun she quickly whirled around and stuck her tongue out, prompting another enraged roar from the Volcano Pokemon.
If Mai was aware of Shocker's antics she paid them no notice, just made sure the mouse was still with her as she followed the well-beaten path towards her boss' room, stopping only to make sure her silky blonde hair was in place before she knocked sharply on the door, suddenly aware of the Raichu at her feet clinging to her pantleg. She glanced down and smiled lightly at the tawny mouse before giving her a light pet on the head, though that single act was more confusing to Shocker than anything else that had happened so far. When there came no answer from the door, Mai knocked once more before opening it slowly. "Sir," she said, saluting immediately. "You summoned me?"
Sam's mouth fell open in amazement. The Gala was beautiful! There were so many elegant decorations and it was all so fancy! And the people matched the theme well! She was glad to see she wasn't the only one wearing a full length dress, although the fashions did vary greatly from the very classic like Orion's tuxedo to an over-the-top dress that was obviously themed on a pokemon, but one Sam didn't recognize. It was extravagant, long flowing red satin with orange highlights, a long plunging neckline from the halter, and a rather ornate decorated tiara shaped to look like flames. Orion saw Sam staring, and followed her gaze. He shook his head snorting.
"Ugly isn't it? These rich people, they like their cute pokemon and money more then their common sense." He spoke with a bored detachedness. It annoyed Sam that he stereotyped so much.
"I actually think it's beautiful," she said, though she didn't care for the tiara. "It's out of the ordinary, sure, but it just...fits?" She didn't quite now how to put her thoughts into words. She was overwhelmed by everything. She began to feel slightly claustrophobic, although the Hall was quite roomy. "Remind me why I'm here again...?" she asked faintly. Orion glanced to look at her.
"Well I had an extra ticket, you needed something to do, I figured I needed to apologize for Vermillion..." he trailed off. Sam nodded.
"Why is this called the Breeder's Gala anyways?"
"You don't know? The Breeder's Gala is where all the breeders congregate to talk, exchange secrets, feel exclusive. But non-breeders come too, because you can comission an egg or pokemon here." Sam was shocked.
"Comission an egg or pokemon? Like...anything?"
"Well, within reason. I mean, obviously the rarer it is, the more it will cost. And the longer it will take. You should look around and see if anyone could breed something for you." Sam shook her head, pretty certain she didn't want anything of the sort. She was afraid of dropping the egg or mistreating the poor baby.
"But maybe I will still look around. It'd be nice to see all the different people and pokemon here. There's sure to be some...interesting characters." She reserved her words, trying to remain neutrual and please everyone.
"Sure, if you like. Go ahead and wander around, I'm kind of hungry. I'm going to check out the foodstuffs here. But promise me, you won't leave without me, and you'll dance with me once...with your shoes on." He smiled. Sam groaned at the thought. Heels just weren't her thing, you couldn't wear them in Cianwood, they would sink in the sand. But the leaving part...she hadn't thought of it. It was a simple promise. She held up her right hand.
"I promise I won't leave without you..."she paused. Orion's smile grew wider.
"Annnnddd?"
"And...I'll dance with you...with my shoes on..."she grumbled.
"Good girl. Now go have fun," he called as he walked towards a large table. Sam, tripping once again, skirted the dance floor. She saw several breeders gathered together, talking to normal guests. She guessed that was were a good part of the comissions took place.
"As good a place to start as any," she whispered to herself, and she shrugged and struggled to them.
Not spotting Dante anywhere Mitsu signaled over a friendly looking female guard. "Could you drop this off at Violet's stand?" she asked, "Just tell her it's from Mitsu. She and I are good friends." The guard looked skeptical, but it wasn't her place to be questioning the gala attendees anyways. She walked over to the far side of the room with Mitsu's brown sling bag and the white bag that had held her new outfit. "Thank you," Mitsu added as the woman began to walk away. She defiantly have to stop by Violet's stand sometime soon.
It didn't take long for Mitsu to spot Kilik, even in his new duds. Though spotting his yellow shirt would have been a lot easier she thought to herself. Mitsu smiled to herself before walking over, her high heels clicking against the floor. She stumbled on her first step, but quickly regained composure without, she hoped, anyone noticing. She walked around a small group of older men and women, probably high class from the way they held their noses in the air, to get behind Kilik. She thought it'd be fun to surprise him. Mitsu lifted up her hand and tapped his shoulder. "You look simply amazing," she said with a smile, "Or would dashing be a more appropriate word?" She laughed lightly, a small blush appearing on her undecorated face (she had forgotten to throw on some make-up). He looks really good in that suit she thought to herself.
