Fierach Better then my opponent. So quit your bitchin' I ain't bitching, I'm kinda chuckling! Now my opponent has his weapon embedded into my character's, perpendicularly I maiht add, giving my character a mechanical advantage should he choose to twist! More chuckling! I love physics and electricity, at least right now...

Also, I feel like.. being 60% water, it's not unlikely that would travel through the air to you. x__o;
That depends. Is the distance between the ground and the point of contact twice the distance between his hands and the point of contact? Because air is a terrible conductor, but so is wood. People are also not that great at conducting electricity but better than air.

I'm probably going to end up doing a grapple/takedown on my opponent followed by a sword to the throat while screaming "YIIIIIIELLLLDDDDDD!"
because. that'd be kind of cool.

I was going to fist fight my opponent. Then I realized that he never described his character (hence my surprise at seeing the Cloud sword come out from nowhere) and seemed to be a sledgefist heug gai character pitted against a skinny 15 year old kid.
...so I wasn't going to fist fight my opponent.

themightyjello Because air is a terrible conductor, but so is wood. People are also not that great at conducting electricity but better than air. It's a trident, with two of the three prongs locked between a wooden handle, so if the voltage could overcome it, the current would pass through the shortest chord of the handle's cross-section to the other prong, instead of along the shaft. I just re-read the post. Also, the weel-and-axle setup here would give my character between 7X and 20X mechanical advantage to turn, depending on where the trident is, and how thick the shaft is. On against a non-linear resistance, that shaft's gonna turn, no matter how strong you are; thus making sliding traction, and an easier time yanking it out of the opponent's hand.
