A person can live fine without dreams. One doesn't have to have any high aspirations in order to live life. Not everyone gets to be President - and someone has to be marketing. Is it better to live with dreams of a better life that are unfulfillable, to torture yourself constantly with a hunger for something better that can never be satiated, or to learn to be content with what can be achieved? I believe its the second. Dreams are useful for motivating a person to get to a point, but once a person has gotten as far as they can, all dreams do is torture them with what they want and cannot have.

It might be fun to fantasize that I'm actually a latent Sanjiyan, that one day a third eye will open up in my forehead, and I'll live forever with fantastic magical powers and be able to pull the soul out of my lover so the two of us will be eternally young forever, but it certainly isn't helpful. And it certainly isn't necessary.

That's just my thoughts on the whole dream subject.

surprised biggrin heart domokun

That's pretty close to how I feel about said matters...very intriguing.

Sabi-shii>> Yes, the birthday has come and gone, and a much older Ashram...types before you.

Sake is interesting...its just that initial taste and the swallow that give you a nice smack in the face. The after taste is great, that and when you let it settle in your mouth for a few seconds. (and for the recorder...I didn't get drunk biggrin )

psh, they're not THAT young. stare I think they're more like 12 or 14 or something... I dunno!

stare I am also a teenager... and angst trips are normal... except for those ppl who seem to be constantly happy *glares pointedly* and since I expect your apology for runbbing it in isn't sincere I know I won't forgive... but I'm also feeling bitchy right now

Its probably "just me"...and how I was raised...and how I think...etc. etc. etc. There are easier, less expensive ways to drown away my problems. They involve:
Me + Bokken + tree limbs/air + aggression = biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

And to expand on that, the whole idea of drinking to "solve problems" only creates more problems. I can name multiple people in my family alone that have proven that point dozens of times.
