Loki frowned when Tony said he had underestimated the man's power of persuasion. He was unsure what to say when the man brought up his own parents and how their relationship was. "Asgard is not Midgard Tony." Loki reminded. He didn't doubt that Tony could do that and he was sure the man would do so at the press conference. Asgard however was used to doing things with fights and force.

“I know it’s not Lo, but Asgardians and humans are not so different as either of us would like to believe. We still feel the same, have the same hopes, the same vices. If we weren’t similar, then you and I wouldn’t be together. Neither would Thor and Jane.” Tony said slowly. “And you, my Silvertongue, now the power words can have in the right situation.”

Loki couldn't deny that Tony's was right about Midgard and Asgard not being terribly different. Both realms still had many of the same desires, hopes and vices. "I can not deny that and that I do know the power of words." Loki admitted. He wanted to add more but he couldn't think of another argument. "I think it would be interesting to see you turn the court to like me and not hate me any longer." Loki stated.

“One day babe.” Tony promised, giving Loki’s hand a squeeze. “of course clearing the air about what Sif made you do and some of the lies Odin has told will help too.” He said, thumb rubbing the back of Loki’s hand. “But until then, we’ll just make Earth love you.”

Loki smiled when Tony told him it would happen one day and gave his hand a squeeze. "It will take a long time for people to accept the truth." Loki stated softly. "Midgard love me, that will be a first. Especialy since I have now claimed their most renowned bachelor." Loki laughed. It would be quite different to be loved by Midgard. He knew Thor was already loved once more here but Midgard had little knowledge of him yet. Perhaps he really did have hope this time to not be hated.

“Most renowned, not their most loved.” Tony pointed out. “They won’t be all that jealous of you.” Biting his lip, Tony sighed. “You have to be prepared Lo. After the press conference announcing our relationship…..they won’t be kind to me. You can’t get angry about it.” He warned. He knew how protective Loki was, knew his protectiveness only seemed to be growing if today was any sign.

Shrugging when Tony said he was the most renowned but not the most loved. "I think they will merely for the reason of that they can not separate you from your fortune any longer." Loki argued. Raising an eyebrow when Tony told him that he could not be mad at the press after they announced their relationship. "I do believe I can indeed be angry over the cruel things they say what you should be asking me is to not be public in my revenge." Loki taunted. He would not promise not to be angry or to not exact revenge depending on what was said be the could be sly and make it so no one traced it back to him.

Tony gave a little shrug. It was true enough. There were going to be plenty of people who had been after his money for years that would be beyond angry at the news that he was being serious with Loki. Giving a little smile at Loki’s words, he shook his head. “The thing is….most of what they say I probably deserve. I’ve spent most of my life ruining my reputation, especially in personal relationships.”

Loki knew he was right despite the little shrug that Tony have him. "What you did in the past is in the past Tony. No one deserves hurtful words because of what you have done in the past. If you deserve what they say then I deserve what all of Asgard says about me." Loki argued. He knew all too well that Tony would protest that and it would only prove his point.

Tony gave Loki an annoyed glance at his words. He knew the god was trying to trap him. “You didn’t do most of what Asgard blames you for though, not really. I did everything, knowing fully well what was happening and with no regrets.” He said slowly.

Loki ignored the annoyed glance that Tony gave him. "But there is much of what Asgard blames me for that I did do. I had children outside of wedlock, I tricked many other realms into giving up things that thshey did not wish to. It was I that bore children that did not appear in an Aesir form, Sleepnir was mostly understandable. I did all of those things and Asgard will still say harsh words about me for such things and yet you will say I am undeserving of such words. I say that it is the same in your case. What you have done in the past is in the past. You do not act like such any longer and that was not because of me for most of it. I have read all the articles I can find on you to prepare for the announcement and ever since you came back with the arc reactor and joined the Avengers you have changed." Loki persuaded. Loki believed that a persons past helped shape their future but it did not mean their futures were only going to be repeating the past. It was why he would defend Tony until the end.

Tony looked away when Loki began to lecture him. “You can’t be blamed for having kids….” He muttered. Hearing that Loki had read about him, had the genius instinctively tightening his grip on the god’s hand. He knew everything that had been written about him, literally from the time he was conceived. Most of it wasn’t good. Even now that he was a hero and dwasn’t causing too much drama, there always seemed to be fresh gossip about him. Mostly untrue, but still there. “Even if I did agree with you, lashing out will only make them turn their attention to you. And I don’t want that. If you’ve read everything about me since the Avengers got together, you know I take the brunt of it all, everything that’s my fault, and everything that’s the fault of the others. I’ve dealt with this since I was a child and it doesn’t bother me, so don’t make them angry at you.” He said quickly. Of course it did bother him a little, but he was skilled at ignoring that hurt and moving on, so he took the hits for the team.

Loki sighed when Tony looked away from him and told him he could not be blamed for having kids. "The first time sure, I did not know I was capable but the second and third time. By then I should have known better and what I was capable of." Loki argued back. He didn't back down when Tony's hand tightened around his when he mentioned reading everything the media had written on the genius. "No one would even know I had done it." he frowned. Tony was trying to protect him that he knew but his revenge would look like nothing more than bad luck. That was the nature of chaos it came from simple circumstances. "Either I will speak publicly against or I will exact my revenge in more subtle way but I will not allow them to slander you Tony." Loki stated squeezing the man's hand gently. He wanted Tony to know that he was on the man's side no matter what.

“And what are you planning on doing to them in revenge?” Tony asked slowly. “There is so much that could go wrong with revenge, you should know that. And you should know that is not always the answer.”

"I do not know it depends on what they have said about you. If it is not terrible I will most likely leave them alone. However I would never cause something that would hurt someone else. I learned my lesson from my one and only one mistake." Loki said a bit disappointed that his mate didn't trust him enough to be careful. "What else would you have me do, I do not believe you will let me speak out publicly against them." Loki continued.
