Maddy jumped as she was torn away from her thoughts. She looked at Cody, confused, for a few seconds. The hair that somehow always remained in front of her left eye parted somewhat, showing her newly purple iris. "How can you be so forgiving?" She took her TADS out of her pocket and turned her gaze towards the little screens, which now showed a mini version of the world map.

"Like I told you ealier. We're family. Why wouldn't I be?" He smiled at her new look and said, "Your eyes are really pretty." He hoped to get off the topic at hand, bt he just had to say that. It was the first thing he noticed.

Maddy glared at him. "My eyes... Now they show how much of a monster I've become." She was about to call out Star when she noticed a man watching them. He was fairly young, about their age. And he looked familiar. Maddy's left fist burst into purple flame. "YOU!" She glared at him. She had been trying to track him down for so long and she had so many questions to ask him.

Cody called on Flygon. "Go! Catch him and bring him back here!" he shouted. Flygon roared and took off after the person. Cody was confused but he followed what Maddy was going for. He turned back to her before taking off after Flygon. "I think they're pretty." Soon, he was gone, sprinting after his pokemon.

Maddy flushed a deep red, and ran after Cody. She sent out Spooky, the ghost Pokémon cackling madly as it appeared in front of the man.
The man stumbled and fell backwards as the frightening face of a Haunter appeared before him. He looked over his shoulder as Maddy and the other kid caught up.
Haunter floated over and remained by Maddy's side. Maddy glared at the man. "Why have you been following around for my whole life and not showing yourself when you knew I was looking for you?!"
The man got to his feet and watched Maddy in silence. She had changed a lot since the last time he had seen her.

Flygon grabbed the person and held him up while Maddy did the interrogating. "Want some help?" He asked quickly.

There was a burst of light as the man released two Pokémon, a Wartortle and a Quilava. "I'm sorry, daughter, but I can't stay and chat. You're not the only one who has been looking for me."
Maddy turned to Cody. "Let's beat his a** so I can squeeze some more info from him." Haunter floated down in front of Wartortle and cackled madly.

Spooky's ghostly body surged with electricity as it shocked Wartortle with a powerful electric current. Wartortle retailiated with a powerful burst of bubbles. Spooky shook off the attack, and lulled Wartortle to sleep with a few hypnotic waves. Wartortle curled up into a ball, fast asleep, as Spooky fed upon its dreams, healing some HP. Wartortle remained asleep. Cackling yet again, Spooky floated up to the sleeping turtle and licked it full on the face. The turtle gave a great shudder and rolled over on its back, fainted.
Sent out next was Charmeleon. The red lizard growled, showing rows of sharp teeth. It inhaled deeply and spat out a heated torrent of flame. Spooky cried out as it's gaseous body was engulfed in the flame. He sent out some more of the dreaded hypnotic waves, attempting to calm the powerful fire Pokémon into a sleep full of tasty dreams. But the attack missed, and before Spooky knew it, he was engulfed with more flame. Maddy was forced to return Spooky and sent out Bubblez. The battle-ready Wartortle summoned a great wave to wash over it's scaly foe. Charmeleon cried out as it was hit with the great wall of water. It then jumped at Bubblez, slashing him madly with its sharp claws. Bubblez yelped with pain as the claws made contact, and then quickly sent Charmeleon flying with Bubblebeam. Charmeleon was recalled.
The next and last opponent was an Ivysaur. It whipped Bubblez with its vines that shot out of its back. Bubblez bit hard onto the vines, trying to get Ivysaur to back off. Ivysaur cried out in pain and knocked Bubblez out with Razor Leaf, the sharp leaves cutting at Bubblez' body. Maddy recalled Bubblez and sent out Raine. The little Pokémon glowed with blue energy, attacking Ivysaur with a Psychic attack. The attack was critical, and Ivysaur countered with a reckless charge that greatly damaged Raine along with itself. Raine's tiny fist leapt into a fiery blaze as it punched Ivysaur. Ivysaur fainted.
Maddy returned Raine and waited for Cody to finish up.

Cody quickly sent out Aipom. "Let's go!" With a quick Swift, Aipom started the battle. Quilava roared and flames launched from its back. It engulfed itself in flames and jumped into the air. The pokemon curled into a ball midair and rolled at Aipom, hitting him hard. The monkey pokemon gathered all its energy into one big Thunderbolt, almost KOing Quilava. The Fire Type unleashed a vicious Flamethrower. Aipom retaliated again with another Swift, completely knocking out the foe Quilava. cody quickly recalled Aipom and waited for another pokemon to be sent out.
The man sent out a Bayleef. "Let's do this Quilava!" Cody shouted as he threw a pokeball into the air. "ERUPTION! GO!" The Fire Type launched a huge fireball at Bayleef, KOing it in one hit. Cody decided to keep Quilava out for this next one. Little did he know, it would be a mistake. The man sent out a Croconaw that launched an insane blast of water at Quilava. The pokemon tried to shake it off but it had been to much. He fainted on the spot. Cody returned the Fire Type after praising him on a job well done and sent out Chiki, his Bayleef. Hopefully this was the end.
Croconaw launched at Chiki and sideswiped her in the face. "It's ok. Magical Leaf!" Cody shouted from behind the pokemon. Suddenly, a group of multi-colored leaves were being shot at Croconaw. Each one shimmered in the moonlight before slicing through Croconaw's skin. The Water Type screeched in pain, lowering Chiki's Defense massively. "Once more!" Again, multi-colored leaves appeared and sliced through Croconaw. The pokemon retaliated with Crunch, almost KOing Bayleef. The Grass Type conjured up a huge green ball of pure energy and shot it at the opposing Croconaw, knocking it out on the spot. The man returned his pokemon and Chiki jumped in joy before being returned. "Good job sweetie."

The man backed away as he was defeated. "You've grown much stronger..."
Maddy glared at him. "Father! Tell me who else is after you! And I need to talk to you about other things!"
He shook his head. "All will be explained later. Just leave, quickly!"
"But--?!" Maddy watched as her father ran off without another word. "Fine, Cody, let's go." She called out Star and they took off into the sky.

Cody called on Flygon again and took off after Maddy. "What the hell was that?"

"I have no clue but I'm not letting him get away that easily." She took out another Pokéball and released Kale, her hyperactive Spearow. Taking a piece of paper and a pen out of her backpack, she scirbbled a few words onto the paper and handed it to Kale. "Find this man," Maddy held up the family picture she had and pointed to her father in the upper right corner, "and give that to him. You'll be sending messages between him and me for the next little bit." Kale sped off, heading the way they came. Maddy looked over at Cody. "That should take care of things."
