Vintrict I still want Square to come out with a stand alone Blitzball game. But I know it will never happen as long as people like FF7 and Kingdom Hearts. you know what's cool about FF7? nothing. i hate that game. the protagonist was an emo b***h with stupid hair. actually, i take that back. Rufus was kind of a badass. still. Final Fantasy IV - VI, 8, 9, 10 > FF7. i want to see the first 6 Final Fantasies redone with new age graphics and top notch voice acting.

Rufus turned out pretty cool in FF AC.

Oh, it will happen.
At least an event from Crawley.
He just never gets the support he needs to carry on...
Or something... But KI can pretty much happen, man.
They don't even have to change the core gameplay, or gameplay in general.
HD sprites with HD levels and an even better roster.

FF AC made no goddamn sense. it was just a bunch of cool fight scenes. then i looked it up on wikipedia and realized that you had to go out and buy and/or pirate all kinds of graphic novels and anime shorts in order to understand what was going on.
Square = money whores of the highest caliber. like the guys who keep making Call of Duty and Gears of War games.
also, they need to make a sequel to that Series 7: Contender movie. that movie was so off-the-wall badass that it needs a sequel.

Indeed.
---
It would be cool to have a tournament where everyone's moves were on a set track, and listed from a pool they made or picked from. Then it would be a lot more like fighting game chess, sort of the way SF4 is from what I hear about it.
So instead of all these technicalities and s**t, it would just be a matter of using a high kick or a mid punch or a guard at the right time, as well as established movements mechanics.
...but that sounds like a lot of work, and would be reduced to playing chess via text. It would just be easier and more visually appealing to determine the winner by playing SF.
Unless the players had to make all their own art to simulate exactly what was going on, post for post.

Hockey = Sport where the refs get brutalized almost as often as the players. I've seen the playoff refs on TV and it seems they all have at least several missing teeth. I've seen football refs take some hits as well.
Sports in general are like a form of organized combat anyway. It's what they evolved from, the whole competitive spirit thing, and lots of man grunting.

I laid out a ref once on accident.
No cards for it because he had pretty much walked right into the way of the play on accident.
Managed to make the tackle by knocking the ref into the guy with the ball and bowling both of them over.
Ref just said "Good hit, son," and walked off after he got up.
EDIT:: He's a bio professor at my college, too. He recognized me in the lab I had with him. He's a pretty good guy.

That reminds me, I've been needing to implement ref NPCs into GTB for a long time.

Say, Vintrict, wanted your opinion on something in my fight.
Trying something "new" or quasi-new with how I'm describing my serpents. I figure before, it was hard to keep track of for just about everybody, including myself and my opponent, of where any individual serpent was unless I made it ******** obvious like "IT GOES FROM THE PALM OF MY HAND TO YOUR FACE" at a 2" distance.
So I'm trying out a little bit of a system to monitor where they're at and how they're doing, so that way nobody goes "..alright, bunch of woowoo lasers, I'm lost." But I'd like some input on it.
