Fighter coverage is in shambles. Imperious was so arrogant he didn't defend his SDs. Then I arrived, so the fighters were called back, but I landed, so they really don't know where to go.

The army is segregated, I believe. So eyeballs, though maybe you should make them interceptors.

Its 10 years after Endor, and by this time, the Xwing is outdated. So interceptors would be my bet, against the new republic's E-wings...

Until FP desegregates his forces, I'll assume keep them the same, imp with imps, droids with droids.

I thought the E-wing was supposed to replace the Xwing? I mean, the E-wing is a superior vessel in every way...

Sounds like teh EU writers just couldn't get any really cool fighters to replace the xwing... Its a good ship, but it's not that great...

I know the problem with the Ewing.

It was when they tried to feed teh lasers 3x more power. The synthetic gas broke down too quickly.

However, Teh guide to vehicles said mechanics were working on the problem to fix it.

Still, everything gets old. Why else would the Y-wing be replaced? Its stronger, more adaptable, but slow. The only disadvantage is its speed. Yet people quickly say "ooh! look at the pretty lasers!"

I just think the X-wing is overused... I mean, 25 years after its produced, its still in commission.

That's like us actually using B-52's to bomb Iraq. Or us using Sopwith Camels in Vietnam.

So?

The P-51 is a legacy! do you see us using them anymore?

Or how about the Battleship? They've all been retired!

It doesn't matter how popular a fighter is. It has to get outdated sooner or later.

I mean, I'd let the Xwing just age. The Y wing wasn't around in the Clone wars, though it is only about 20 years old when its retired.

Not to push anything, but the Z-95 is still around, but not for military. That's my point. The military upgrades, but that doesn't mean that the X-wing must die entirely. Just get out of the spotlight. I hate drama queens.

Never I said I hated the X.

Just thought that it was too overused. Nobody likes Y-wings, as the cries of "oh, they're slow, and old, and weak" run around. People either dearly love or abhore with their guts teh B-wing saying "It can go one-on-one with an ISD" or "Its slower than my granny on molasses". The A-wing is faster than any fighter in existance, be imperial or rebel, but "its shields are too weak".

So where are the complaints about the X-wing? Even teh "successor" the E-wing has problems.

Is there nobody actually gallish enough to actually admit that maybe the X-wing might have a weakness? a downside?

If it was so great, then why even have any other starcraft?

So? SFS is imperials, so they are never broke, and freitek isn't around till NJO. They have the royalties on the Xwing anyway, as being the original designers.
