You need your heart to pump blood, nervous system to react, etc, etc. Fundamentally, what makes this work is oxygen. Now, if I can breathe, I can live. There's more to THAT then what may seem, Messiah. I would have thought that YOU of all people would know this.

A person can live fine without dreams. One doesn't have to have any high aspirations in order to live life. Not everyone gets to be President - and someone has to be marketing. Is it better to live with dreams of a better life that are unfulfillable, to torture yourself constantly with a hunger for something better that can never be satiated, or to learn to be content with what can be achieved? I believe its the second. Dreams are useful for motivating a person to get to a point, but once a person has gotten as far as they can, all dreams do is torture them with what they want and cannot have.
It might be fun to fantasize that I'm actually a latent Sanjiyan, that one day a third eye will open up in my forehead, and I'll live forever with fantastic magical powers and be able to pull the soul out of my lover so the two of us will be eternally young forever, but it certainly isn't helpful. And it certainly isn't necessary.
That's just my thoughts on the whole dream subject.
