:::Cora had decided that she had enough of sitting alone for a little while, her confusion from the prior night had passed. She entered the main room, and saw Luke:::
Hello Luke! How are you? :::She eyes the strange white substance on his shoulers...and really it was sprinkled all over. She doesn't mention it just yet:::

*Luke smiled.* Hey. I was freezing my cheeks off before I came in here. 20 degrees outside. You think they'd pay me to be out in weather like that.
*He makes some hot chocolate.* How bout you?

20 degrees! Why...that is inhumane. There is never weather like that in the future....I can't imagine the trouble that weather has caused through out history...
:::Cora got chills thinking about it:::

*Luke smirks.* Oh yeah? Well, here's an idea of what it's like. *brushes the snow off his shoulders at Cora. The snow lands on her skin.*

:::Cora sees it land on her...but does not feel that it is cold. She looks at it, and tries to pick up some of it with her right hand, but it melts:::
Aah...this is snow, yes? Amazing. naturally crystalized hydrogen dioxygen...:::she takes a closer look::: with some other trace elements.

*Luke chuckles.* Yeah, it doesn't last long enough for you to shoot it full of whatever's around your Superman Belt.
*He blinks.*
Oh yeah....*says softly....*
*He shirks his bookbag off his shoulders.* That reminds me...
*He roots through his weathered bookbag.*

*Luke was looking through his bag. He gave a small sigh of impatience.* I -know- I put it in here..... *He continues to rummage around...*
A-HA! *He triumphantly pulls out a flimsy, shiny, colorful book.*
*He dusts it off.* I've been carrying this around with me for the past two weeks, but..... I never had my bookbag with me when the Brink brought me in....
Here you go, Supergirl. *He hands her a copy of a Superman comic book.* *points to the cover* It's your boy.

:::Cora took the strange, thin folded material that Luke handed her and took a look. Suddenly her knees went weak. She felt like her hands should not be touching it, but it was too tremendous to drop. Luke may have just as well handed her the original 10 commandment tablets, or the dead sea scrolls:::
P...p-pictographic documentation!! :::she finally blurted::: This is authentic!?

*Luke watched her reaction.... It wasn't exactly like mixture of surprise and gratitude that he had expected... It was...more than that.... Something akin to awe and wonder. Like he'd just brought her great-grandpa back to life.*
*It was a reaction he had not been prepared for.*
Slim, it's just a drawing... But it's got his whole story in here... *Flips the pages to show her.*

:::Cora was glad to put it back in Luke's hands. She did not want to be responsable for destroying such an amazing thing. She just let her mouth hang open a bit, as she saw the images, and the words. Luke retold the legend as children of her time were told from birth:::
:::Her eyes were glued to the pages, studying as much as she could all at once:::
Luke...the iconography mixed with alphabetical language. Its astounding. There has always been talk that such documentations existed, but none have ever been found. The rumors are true! :::but suddenly she frowned:::
Luke...I don't understand. He does not exist in your time?

You mean...this is not documentation? That the legend...was not based on truth...? :::She looked deeply at the page the comic came open to:::

*He watches Cora's reaction, and now he's on the defensive.*
Well, no, it's not like 'authentic documentation', but it's got his whole story here. Don't you think that's weird? When you've got the same story from wherever you come from?

Well no... :::she looks up at Luke finally::: It's not strange at all. He was suspected to live in your century, if he lived at all...his story was passed along, as we suspected, through this kind of documentation. And when this became obsolete, it was kept going through other forms of technology. Over a thousand years later...we all know the stories, but no one knows whether they are real or not.
