@ Styk: It takes a specific battery cartridge depending on what product model you have. I say you should google the exact model of the battery backup you have and add "replacement" at the end, then see if APC's site is somewhere on the result list. :/

Tiger direct.com is usually a good place to find parts you need. It also has cheap warehouse prices with the ability to call someone up and ask.

@ Styk: Hm, well that's a bit odd. Maybe something wiggled out a little?
Offtopic: So I decided to sink 20k and get a new guild. Right now I'm "borrowing" a character sheet and rewriting it to where it would fit. God I suck at making things for RPs/campaigns.

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. Ah...so that what popped up on the announcement things on my Gaia page. I was kinda curious about that, so yeah. Anyway, I'm glad to hear it all taken care of for you Styk. My old computer said that to me, just before it shut down permanently. So I'm glad that you got it fixed. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget.

@ Jay: It was pretty funny, because she touches it and it suddenly works. I don't know HOW she did it!
@ Aly: O_O Oh dear!- But nonetheless, I'm still going to figure out what the crap happened. lol
@ Jay again: Hmmmm. . Yeah, I noticed you made a new Guild. What d'you plan to do with it exactly?

@ Styk: Lol, she's just like me then!
@ Aly: No, the guild announcement was for an Ask the Crew popping up sometime soon and a change to the way we do announcements. My guild has zippo to do with anything.
@ Styk: I plan on making it into an RP guild based on my awesome extensive backstory from over here. The thing is though, "the RP" is a metagame spread out through different threads. Some threads are for minigames, and others are locations. Some are in-character shops run on the currency the characters in in-game (not gaia gold). I got the idea when I was looking through the guild fix thread and clicked on a link to someone's guild homepage. I looked inside out of curiosity and saw a setup that I liked. It's much more integrated into their guild than it is here, but they run it more like a D&D campaign. I kinda took the middle route and while I use their format and part of their character sheet, most of the RP mechanics will end up like it is here - open.

@ Jay: Actually, that's sounding pretty killer to me. . . GOD I want to play D&D again- But kids these days find it weird when twenty year olds hang out with them.

@ Styk: I'm basing all the spells, most of the items, and a few of the actual mechanics from d20 3.5e. In other words, I totally butchered it due to a lack of experience as a GM and the fact that not all RPers are familiar with something as complex as D&D. I found a free HTML version of it and will have it out as a guide to many of the things in the RP although it's only the general idea, not the rule.

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. D&D....you mean Dungeons and Dragons? Cause, Styk, I know plenty twenty-somethings how still play. And thirty somethings. Not many forty-somethings though. As for the guilds, I think it sounds interesting. I've never actually played D&D myself. I just know some people who do. And they try and get me to play it all the time. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget.

@ Styk: I don't think I'll get finished with setting it up until next week or something. On a side note, I'm only expecting the bored and really active to join. I don't want people to fall behind on their own RPs nor mine.
@ Aly: Loads of people play D&D and are too wimpy to admit to it. To say the least about it though, even the earliest editions were pretty challenging to keep track of and it only got more complex from there. I have an old 1978 copy of the AD&D 1e players' handbook lying on my desk and there are so many restrictions and rules.

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. Almost makes me glad I didn't start playing it. I hate uber complicated things...especially if there is more then one version. Then it gets tough to sort things out from the other and you end up misunderstanding things simply cause the other guy is using a different version. Kinda like a new board I got...They had come out with a new version, but my brother kept referring to the old rules. It made everything more complicated.
On better news! I just started my first roleplay!!! Its on Pen's guild for now, but if it doesn't get enough traction then I'll have to move it. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget.

@ Aly: Well, everyone in a single D&D campaign has to go by the same rules. More often than not the game follows either 4e or 3.5e. As for your RP, I wouldn't expect success right off the bat unless it was planned for and anticipated for out of sheer hype, but then again I could be underestimating the activity in Pen's guild.
