((Actually, basic strategy would include alerting China, Nepal, and the rest of the world that there is an army crossing their borders. This would almost certainly lead to military reprisals against Russia and possibly to WWIII, and frankly, I just don't want to go there. I'd rather ignore a few practicalities and inconsistencies in favor of a more dramatic story. Similarly, Kavinsky sent tanks to a target that only aerial units can hit for some reason which should not be questioned, only explained or crypto-revised.
Give Snake a moment. Some people have lives which don't let them get online every day.))

heart You found my heart and rebuilt it from dust... heart Outai gave a polite bow, and left the room. She and Mooney didn't need much to prepare - just some dried meat for Mooney. Fortunately, she remembered where the stairs were, and that the very bottom flight of the stairs that lead down wasn't far from the kitchen. She was sure she could find some dried meat there. It would be a little pick up for Mooney, since she was sure he'd be using a lot of energy keeping a barrier around them for protection. "Outai, just in case you might want to update your morphine syringes." Mooney warned her. "Yes, I'll do just that after we get something for you. Anyway, I don't think those will be necessary, but it doesn't hurt to make sure. Do you think you could hold on to a strong barrier for longer than half an hour?" "I'll try." "In that case I'll bring a syringe or two of glucose for you."

((OOc: I have kind of a suspicion. that a movie named "return of the dragon emperor" or the mummie will prove to be a dire inspiration... But since I find it definitively cool that the guy does some nice things, and keeps the bunch occupuied with what he has available. Nope, my critique points are his style of leading.... 1. take the most qualified individuals inside. 2. leave the Loosers outside in the cold. 3. leave the loosers next to the weaponry, which will be the first target of the aerial assault.
Now, I can understand why only aerial forces. infantry forces would be to slow to the site. tanks and other assorted weaponry on a mountain path? Just get a good attillery gunner, and they are toast. so, an airial drop is the only reassurable way, which both provides the neccesary speed and the needed firepower. if I would have to play the other side, I would say, well, perhaps two jets first that take out the defense stations and reign a few bombs on the site, and then the classical heli attack in the morning. helis half manned with super powered urobros/normal footsoldier mix, (ever wondered that if there is just one weakness in their defence, the villans will be remarkably lax about defending it of hunting it down), dropped on site and then flewn back to the backup camp to return with more treats, while the other half is filled to the roof with gunners on both sides, and an remarkably array of rockets.
Now, let's see. the SAM batterie is dependant on a radar-thingie, so basically, the guy is just as good as the area the radar works in, which is basically really really short in the clifted mountains. On the other hands, aerial-ground rockets can be dependant on heat. So, basically, get one heli, drop a few distractions for the radar, and fire one heatseaking missle ..... Or, which I would prefer as a big multi like that K, just nuke the site from air. Drop a clusterbomb on it, or a daisycutter. Or, if you want the cost efficient way, drop a termobaric weapon. (thank max Brooks for that one...). Thing will make a huge friggin fireball.... and even if the target is not underground, not affected by the fireball, and in someway survives the first wave of impact, well, then the best effect that you will get is the immediate vacuum after the blast, which is kind of cool. Why? OOh, mainly because if the target is not in an enclosed area of suspendet pressure, then the vacuum will rip the air out of the lungs, or even worse, what nobody will tell you, if you are too close, it will rip the lungs out of your mouth. (yes, it is a blessing that i only play chars on your side of the team. You guys just lack the immagination and the costefficiency of a truely evil ex shadowrun Gm who is interested in physics and weaponry. Oh, and thank god that my GMs in battletech/warhammer 40K kicked me out of the group for being a disruptance in the force) See why it is important to keep my mind occupied?))

((Remember, in the storyline, Kavinsky has a lot of power. He could easily have bribed China's government to let him pass.
As for the tactics, this is an RP. If they end up getting through anyways, there's no point going into major details on what tactics should be used.
But yes, bombing the crap out of the site would be nice. I did actually consider having them do that, but there's one problem; they'd destroy the temple entrance in the process.
As for the SAM launchers, I'm pretty sure the FIM-92 Stinger has it's own built-in radar.))

LOCATION: Riku's dorm, MMHQ Riku entered his room, and immediately headed for his closet. He opened the door, and pulled out a large box sitting inside. He opened it, and pulled out the Hellion Angels, gleaming and ready for a fight. They were not the same katars he had been using for a while though. They had been upgraded. He raised the left-hand blade, now called Angra Manyu, and pulled a small trigger inside the handle. A motor inside kicked in, and the blade spun around, much like a drill bit. Angra was designed for penetrating armor, literally drilling through it. It also had a chain and launch mechanism, and could be used like a grappling hook. He raised the right-hand blade, known as Ahura Mazdah, and pulled a trigger inside it. The blade slid open at the center, revealing a strange-looking gun inside. He had built a KRISS Super V, a prototype .45 SMG, into the handle. The gun's unique design gave it almost no recoil, and it fired special armor-piercing hollowpoint bullets. He reset the blades, and placed them in their sheaths on his thighs. He then pulled on his body armor, and slid his cloak over it. He was ready. All that remained was to wait until the others were ready.

heart You found my heart and rebuilt it from dust... heart Outai had somehow found her way both to the kitchen and then to the sick bay, where she had acquired some jerked beef for Mooney, and was currently talking to a nurse about getting two syringes of morphine and two syringes of pure glucose. Of course she was questioned as to why she would need such a powerful and addictive drug, and Outai told her the truth without mentioning anything about her current mission. It took a little cajoling, but she finally managed to get what she needed. "Hey, Outai, maybe you should pack a little water. I mean, you'll be in Nepal and there's sure to be a lot of snow, but water is easier to freeze than it is to pack snow into ice, isn't it?" "That's a good point, my friend. I'll stop by the kitchen again and pick up a couple of bottles of water."

Running through the town, shadar watched and inspected the abilities of the dragon, himself. His lust for knowledge willing to risk the lives of his patrons. "That's quite enough." He stated. Spinning on his heels, he waited. The steelish gaze calculating the time he had left before his plan was to be inacted. "5 yards." "4 yards." "3 yards." "NOW." Taking both palms, he slammed them on the ground, summoning the water from below. "Mist of Confusion and Panic, Arise." Fissures in the stones emerged from where his hands touched the earth. Within moments of the earth's opening, jets of mist spew out; creating an area of fog, and confusion. As the dragon, unwittingly flew into the fray, it opened his maw to unleash flames but it was stopped. A jet of water was fired into its open mouth, and smothered the flame, before it even at time to grow. While it was busy coughing out the water, it touched something soft. Snapping foreward, it lashed out trying to catch whatever it had felt. Cloth was ripped, by flesh was not toren, it was the cloak the teen wore. Taking in a whiff of the scent, the dragon tried to find its orgin. Though just as Yue had planned, the mist was infering with the dragon's nose. The scent was held by all of the water, and carried through out the entire area of fog, it smelled as the dragon were inside the creature. Two senses down, both Sight and Smell were rendered useless. The dragon roared, beating its wings and attempting to blow this mist away, but it remained, held down by the power of Yue. A slight noise was made, the sound was that of metal scrapping against metal. The dragon lunged for noise, only to find that the area was empty. The silent steps drew closer to the dragon's side. Gripping the hilt of his blade, he neared the membrane of the right wing. The dragon's tail lashed around almost hitting him a few times. 'It's been much too long since I've used this.' The teen barely dodge the tail once more as it neared him. 'Almost there.' The dragon turned and bashed into Yue's side, catching him off guard. He had only enough time to try and near the wing. The blade was left to slide across the earth, underneath the belly of the beast. 'Great.' Jumping back, he dodged the dragon's exposed teeth. 'Looks like I'll need to move on to plan B.' Stepping backwards, he nicked his right thumb. "Lesh Wi Si. Lesh Wi Si." Chanting the spell, he dragged his blood across the service of the earth. The dragon's keen ears heard the words and dashed at it. "LESH. WI. SI." Finishing the spell, the chinese symbol for water grew larger, and glowed brightly. The dragon sat directly atop the spell has water gushed out; sending the creature sprawling. Dashing forward, he dived for the blade. Gripping it's hilt, he turned and chucked it at the side of the dragon. A cry of anguish was heard, rippling through the town.

MMHQ, Weapon storage/cafeteria
Two text messages. Joel skimmed through them, but his attention was on the submachine gun on the table. It lay in several pieces, each carefully placed as if they lay on an assembly diagram. The staff may have cleaned it the last time it was used, but Joel preferred to take care of his own weapon, as did most soldiers. The gun was the last of the arms he would take. For quiet precision work, he had a silenced pistol. And, if an opportunity presented itself, if a minute were available to set up an aimed shot at an annoying target...
Well, that was what the bazooka was for.
Hunger gnawed at him. How long had it been since he had eaten? He wasn't sure; this place seemed to mess with his perception of time. He was hungry now, though. Joel entered the cafeteria carrying a long sack across his back. If anyone asked, it contained tent pegs. He walked over to the counter and helped himself to a plate of meatloaf. The meatloaf here was pretty good, and he sat down for a minute to eat it. Just as he swallowed the first mouthful, Outai entered. Joel acknowledged her with a nod. "So, Outai. I was thinking about your code name. You talk to cats, so Kitty or Koshu might be appropriate. Then again, do you know a flower called the Pieris? I think you have one embroidered on your kimono," Joel said. "Otherwise, death and destruction are common themes."

heart You found my heart and rebuilt it from dust... heart "Ah, hello, Groundwalker." Outai said as she approached him. "Hm, those could work but I think an explanation is due. You see, Mooney is not a normal cat. He's kind of like a red mage. He has skills in everything, but has only mastered barriers. My most predominant feature is the ability to freeze things and control ice. However, I do have a death summons, but that's a last ditch kind of thing, so that can still work as well. I've not heard of the flower, I just like this kimono. It allows me to move freely without obstruction." Outai headed for the nearest cooler that looked like it would have bottles of water in it. She found some at the beverage end of the bar and took two of them, paying for them on her way back to Joel's table. heart ...and now let me return the favor for you. heart

Shadow entered the armory just after Joel left. He wanted to ask if there were limitations to the weapons in the armory that he could borrow. He hoped that no one would mind if he borrowed what he found.
He looked around to see what was available. He saw a myriad of melee weapons and even more guns. He knew that most of the mercenaries probably preferred guns and magic. He didn't consider himself a tank, but he preferred melee weapons and classic weapons to guns. He could use guns of any caliper and any size or style.
As he looked, he saw it. A double bladed great axe, just hanging on the wall. It was in no special display case so he figured it didn't belong to anyone specific. He pulled it off the wall and held it. He carefully swung it around and tested its weight and balance. Once he was satisfied with it, he put a sling on his back, and put the great battle axe on his back. He then looked for some extra shurikens, which probably wouldn't be as good as his, but more would be better for this mission. While he was at it, he collected some throwing knives and placed them throughout his body.
He picked up a G-36k with a scope and sling, and put it across his chest and added some ammo clips to his belt. All of this was kind of cluttered, but he would rearrange things when he got to his quarters. He saw a gatling gun, and wished he could take it with him, but he had no way of carrying it, yet. If his pet showed up, then she might be able to carry it.
He then took everything to his quarters to rearrange. He placed it all in an organized manner on his bed, and proceeded to maximize his efficiency. He kept his coat and outfit on. He put his Katana back on, then the knives and extra shurikens. Then the battle axe, and last the gun. He knew that the gun would be the first thing he would use, to mow down as many as he could before they got close. Then he would proceed to use the axe until it got too crazy. Then he would use a mixture of his katana, the axe, the knives and shurikens, and the melee weapons and guns of his enemies.
He was ready for this mission. It was like the last mission he completed, except he wouldn't have to get intel, or pre-stage the event. All he had to do was show up as an army of one, with the assistance of others to complete this mission. He had no problem with the rest of the team doing their parts. He knew, for this mission, what his task was. Keep the enemy army from bothering his other team mates. He could do any of the parts of this mission, but this was his task for this mission.
Suddenly he heard his pet's distinct roar, and he ran to meet her. He didn't want anyone to misinterpret her presence. He ran up to a black panther with dark armor covering her chest, back, upper legs, neck, and scull. The armor was smooth black, with grey silver trim. It was bullet proof and puncture resistant. Shadow went out of his calm, unemotional, serious character for a moment to great his pet. He pet her on her head, and rubbed her chin between her armor.
'It is so good to see you again. Thank you for bringing your armor. I would like your help in this mission. We're going to be defending the entrance of a temple so that out team mates can accomplish their mission from an army. I wish to ask you if you'd mind carrying a gatling gun for me?'
Guardiana agreed to carry the weapon and some ammo for him. This wasn't a problem at all because they worked so well together, and he took really good care of her. Shadow went back into character after greating her.
Shadow escorted her to the armory, after dealing with the guards at the entrance who were baffled and scared by the black panther with armor. He then harnessed the gatling gun to her and some ammo. The two of them, standing or walking next to each other, looked like a mean pair. It didn't bother them that it might look strange, a heavily armed man, and his armored cat. He wouldn't be surprised if their appearance and presence was questioned.

((Dudes, have you been watching the news. Yesterday, a freighter train and a Metrolink train where playing chicken in my town and collided head on. So far 24 people have died. Worst Metrolink disaster ever. In my home town. One eight of a mile away from my house.))
Sokato drew the great sword, it was the perfect opportunity to do so. He held the heavy sword in one hand and ran. He watched the dragon as it went towards their position, but stopped when the mist rose up. Even with all his fancy sensors, Ace couldn't see through it.
Dark-vision, thermal vision, and such. He cycled through them all... "Damn, it's too risky walking in blind." It wasn't too much longer before he heard the cry of the dragon. He knew exactly what happened. "Good job kid. We got one more to go." The second dragon was flying in a circle, or it was until it heard the cry of the other dragon. It quickly started to descend, fast onto his position.
"It's coming in fast." Ace readied his sword. He was ready for it, but then he suddenly changed his mind. He held the sword up over his head with one hand. "I think I should test my throwing arm." With that said, he flung the sword like a skilled magician throws knives. With precision it hit the dragon square in the head. It dug in and the beast veered off course and plummeted from the skies and into a building.
"That's how I do it."
The android gave Spider a funny look. "You want to know why I know your name, and where you are? Well, I have eyes and ears everywhere. I am always watching you and listening to you." That was probably not the best thing to tell the drug addict. "Any way, follow me. We have much to discuss" The android sad leaving the room.
"This is your warning, don't assault the guards and break our property. There will be a punishment for further actions, I just haven't thought of one yet. As long as you understand that, you will get along fine with everyone here. Any way, we have much to discuss in my office."
((All I can do right now, it is getting late.))

((Sory for not being american... I am in germany right now. Hope you are allright, and able to get your 15 minutes of glory in the process of the newscasts(if you want to...) I have not heard anything from, this on german news, but I will have a looksee (remarkably similar to Goatsee... in more then one way) and will continue to observe. Hope you are allright nevertheless...)) Spider straightened up remarkably fast. His steps got turned straight by the increased flow of adrenaline, his vision balanced, and he saw the Man in front of him much better now. He stumbled a bit as he recognized the famillarity.... the face, the round eyes, the white hair.... He took his cat up, waited till it had stopped walking, and fumbled in his pocket for the photo. Then, he showed it to her, pointed to the android walking in front of them, and then pointed at the photograph, which had mysteriously turned into a printout. The cat looked a bit, trying to adjust the view from four eyes, but then, it hit her. She opened her mouth, and burped in conclusion. "Exactly, little b***h. See the ears?" (( Ceiling_cat_is_watching_you_masturbate.jpg on google you can find it
)) Both of them looked from the photo to the man in front of them, but as they suddenly stopped, cat jumped down, and with with a massive ammount of grace, barfed on the floor in a way only a highpreassured twoheaded gargoyle filled to the brim with pink milkshake could. Spider took the que, jumped ahead, and ate the picture.... he had to suspect nothing.... Swallowing fast, he grinned. "So, what do we have to talk about? hey, this area looks nice... your office?"

Larry said nothing and continued walking the path. After a few moments of silence, he said "Just as long as they don't make a habit of forcing their guests to stay and sacrifice their souls for the harvest, I'll take whatever I can get." recalling a movie he had seen where something similar had happened.
On and on the path wound. Larry was growing increasingly unnerved and might have lost his mind if not for the sound of the town's people up ahead. For what seemed such a late hour, things sounded unusually lively. Muffled slightly from inside of a pub, there was the sound of stringed instruments and the sounds of laugher and socializing.
Immediately Larry sped up and went towards the sounds, leaving Korie in his dust. Because as any red-blooded East Coast male knows, 'Laughter and music equals beer and beer equals good'.
He pushed open the bottom part of the partially-opened dutch door and went inside without haste. Though one had to admit, Larry wasn't thinking as straight as he normally would be.

Korie's eyes were feeling really weird from the prolonged exposure to the darkness, and she would continuously rub her eyes and blink. Soon though, sounds of civilization reached them, and before she could really react, Larry had already run off towards the noise. She had noticed him growing more and more wound along the way, and she could tell he was just really wanting to get out of here, but that was no excuse as to running head-first into town; who knows if they were gonna be met with a "warm welcome"?
With a low growl escaping her lips, she starts sprinting after him, and caught sight of him disappearing inside a pub's doors. But the odd thing was...The actual stink of beer was...faint? How was that possible? She immediately opened the door and into the small room, and she could've sighed with relief as the beer smell was instantly stronger. How strange, her nose must still be filled with the smell of trees.
Everything in here was normal, the people laughing and socializing, and there wasn't a bar fight going on at that very moment. Korie scanned the crowded room for Larry, though, because there was something...Something she couldn't place, that was making her insides twist with anxiety.
