"Having them killed? That's a bit harsh." Mahado said, frowning. Okay, maybe it was a little more serious than he had thought. "Okay, then. I'll get Seto. I'll stay in the pharaoh's room if this works, to make sure he's okay." He turned to go into Seto's room, somewhat in need of the priest's help.

Nanu hurried to were ayira was being held. A servent wasmade to watch herat all times so she couldent move. Nanu told the servent watching they could go and she sat beside ayira watching her.

Seto was a bit angry that Mahado had thought he was the one messing with the pharaoh, but once he realized the intensity of the situation, he agreed to help. Mahado had to stop and gather his wits before going to the pharaoh's door.

A few hours later and nobody had came into see ayira. She hadent woken up eather. Nanu was quitetired by now.

Akhenaden swore loudly, glad that he was in his room. Those damned priests. The servant girl must have scampered off and told someone that something was wrong, because not ten minutes after she left Mahado came in. After that, both Mahado and Seto entered, and they somehow severed his mind control with the pharaoh. He was completely cut off from what was going on, but he knew that nobody would be able to know it was him. Mahado had vouched to stay with the pharaoh after the mind control had been broken. Atem was rather confused and disturbed to find that several hours were wiped completely clean from his memory, and it took a while to explain it all to him. Seto was going to go check on Nanu, as both Atem and Mahado had requested, but he really was going to see Ayira. Seto didn't know where Ayira was being kept, but it wouldn't be hard to ask someone. He had just left the pharaoh's room and stopped a passing guard, demanding to know. He told the priest where he thought it was, and Seto headed off down there. He paused at the door where the guard had said, then knocked, almost hesitantly. Mahado said that Nanu should still be there, but Seto thought it would be easier if it was just some random servant. He didn't want Nanu getting smug, because she had seemed to know about his feelings towards Ayira on her first day.

"Come in...." Nanu said her eyes locked on the door.Her had was touching the knife that was straped to the bottom of the chair,hidden.

Seto entered, looking worn out. He normally did his best to keep his emotions concealed, to always be alert when around others, but lately it was just getting too hard. He blinked slightly when he noticed that Nanu looked almost fierce, as though she was expecting something else. "Pharaoh's back to normal. He had no idea what happened, but Mahado explained it. We still don't know who it was." Seto informed her, gazing at Ayira. "I take it she's been completely unconscious?"

Nanu relaxed once she saw it was seto "yea...She hasent woke up since she was brought in here...." Nanu sighed looking at ayira "The healers wont talk to me about anything....They hav sombody in here at all times to make sure she dosent move."

Seto examined Ayira almost coldly. "Well she had better wake up soon. How else is she going to be able to marry the pharaoh?" He asked in a low voice, turning away. He wasn't being controlled-- he was just being stupid, as someone might say. Just trying his best not to be human.

Nanu let out an annoyed sighed "stop beingstupid. It's ovious she's not going to marry the pharroh...." She looked to seto "She loves you. If she's happy with you atem's not going to forse her to marry him. Instead of acting stuborn you should be conserned if she survives..." She then looked to ayiraand sighed agian "you kow it's no a bad thing....you have every right to behappy with somebody..."

Seto was quiet, and then slowly turned to look at Nanu. He didn't seem as fierce as before. Finally he sighed. "I lost the Millennium Rod. Unless I can find it soon, I no longer have any rights. If I can't find it, I'm going to leave the palace. Yes, it's a weak thing to do, but I was raised to be a priest and serve the pharaoh. If I can no longer do that, then I don't see any point in being able to 'be happy with somebody,' as you say." He really didn't want to talk about this kind of stuff with Nanu. She would never understand.

Seto chose not to answer her. He couldn't. The answer was too hard. Still... if he could stay with Ayira, and if everything could be peaceful-- no more random attacks from Bakura, no more ranks from his father-- then he would. Of course he would.
