Wing it. Impromptu isn't so bad once you get used to it. You have other things to worry about.

Here's what I say. Unless you are just absolutely, history-impacting amazing, no one will remember or even care about what you say thirty seconds after you say it. So whip something together and call it a speech.

The salutatorian of my brother's class didn't want anyone to listen her to speech who didn't really want to, so at the beginning, she gave this complicated word problem, and said, "I leave you with those profound words. Think about it," before launching into the actual speech.

Now that I look at it again, it looks rather like the sad end of a Texan drawl as opposed to well, whatever else it was supposed to be.
Y'know, not very many people down here do have accents. I wish they did--they would be so much more interesting to talk to. xp Do your places have accents?

All of us have accents, Chi. We just can't hear them.
Sam can do an Indian accent, it's wicked awesome. <3

American accents, maybe. But like, every time we travel and talk to people from other places, they'll hear we're from Texas and be like: NOWAI!!! You don't sound Texan. And then we get to look at them and smile like they're crazy. xp
Naughty carol of the week: Let it snow!
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, In the lane, snow is glistening A beautiful sight, We're happy tonight. Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird, Here to stay is a new bird He sings a love song, As we go along, Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman, Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married? We'll say: No man, But you can do the job When you're in town.
Later on, we'll conspire, As we dream by the fire To face unafraid, The plans that we've made, Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman, And pretend that he's a circus clown We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman, Until the other kids knock him down.
When it snows, ain't it thrilling, Though your nose gets a chilling We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way, Walking in a winter wonderland.
