We are constantly together. How the hell can you say we don't spend anytime together?

Are you just in the same area or are you doing things/spending time together.

Sometimes both. She says I don't speak enough. I guess I need to speak more in depth but I find it rather difficult to speak at times. I think it might be night shift just kind of wearing me down mentally. Though that argument doesn't fly with her since she also stays up while I'm at work so we can have the same sleeping schedule.

According to an article I just read, missionaries of every faith have been flocking to Haiti like vultures to prey upon the needy... including Scientologists.

Yes, that's right: the world's greediest "religion" is trying to get its claws into one of the world's poorest countries in their hour of weakness.

CAN THEY POSSIBLY SINK ANY LOWER?!

Really, they've already killed people, destroyed lives, and bullied the IRS into getting tax exempt status. I don't think there's any lower they can go, unless they start a child prostitution/kitten-murdering combination ring. And even then, they'd probably have to throw in some teaching Scientology in schools and support the Aryan Brotherhood.

ARGH YOU SUCK! scream

I get that you don't want us to be together, that you're afraid it wouldn't work out, that you think the distance thing is insurmountable. I think it's bullshit, but I get it. And I promised I wouldn't push things. I'm being polite, trying to keep us as friends, and trying to keep said friendship from getting weird.

So for the love of ********, will you stop sending mixed signals already?! gonk

What IS it with the Christians out there who seem to think that believing the Word of Mike Warnke, Bill Schnoebelen, Alex Jones, et al. is a doctrinal creed? What is it with their automatically assuming these men are telling the truth just because they claim to be Christian? Hello? Haven't you people heard the expression "wolf in sheep's clothing?"

Sorry you twits, but I'm not as ignorant or as stupid as you are. I actually bothered to read up on these groups from sources outside of your so-called "whistleblowers." To claim that Wicca is a "stepping stone" to Satanism is absurd if you actually know anything about the way it works.

Oh, and just because Anton LaVey implied that all magic comes from Satan doesn't automatically make it so. That was LaVey's opinion and understanding.

And if you think that every spirit/god other YHWH is one of Satan's minions, you'd better be able to tell me how it is people manage to cast out evil spirits by the power of other gods. Your own Bible says that's impossible, yet it happens. And FYI, any ad-hoc explanation you can come up with, eg, "maybe they're secretly working together!" can be applied to your religion as well. If Athena and that evil spirit tormenting that Hellenistic guy down the street were secretly in cahoots, who's to say Jesus wasn't secretly in cahoots with every spirit he cast out?

Oh, and if for some freakish reason it turned out that the Mayans were correct in predicting the end of the world, wouldn't that be a good indication that you might ought to start worshiping the Mayan gods instead of trying to shoehorn the prediction of a people who didn't give two turds about YHWH into your own "end times" predictions? Don't you think it's a LITTLE STRANGE that your god would give the precise date of the end times to a people who DIDN'T EVEN WORSHIP HIM INSTEAD OF THE CHRISTIANS?!

I have never even heard of these people.

When the theology is strictly monotheistic and no room for monolaterelism then it's a view that's to be expected. Just let it go unless they are threatening or harassing you, then you can call the cops.

That would be funny indeed.

Bill Schnoebelen is a guy who has made a business out of claiming to be an ex-whatever du jour. So far he's claimed to be an ex-Mason, an ex-Mormon, an ex-Catholic, an ex-Satanist, an ex-spiritist, an ex-Wiccan, and an ex-vampire. And he claims that each and every group is secretly run by the Satanic Illuminati.

Mike Warnke claims to have been a Satanic high priest when he was in college in the 60's. He's another guy who claims there's a worldwide Satanic conspiracy. He was exposed as a fraud by Cornerstone Magazine (who went to the trouble of interviewing his college friends), but despite this he still has believers.

Alex Jones is a psychotic fascist with a radio show who makes a living literally screaming about how the NWO guys are plotting to tear America down ANY MINUTE NOW. He is fond of doing things like ramming his elbow into random people and accusing them of assaulting him, threatening said people with lawsuits, and getting into rabid screaming fits about how he wants to massacre the NWO guys.

The majority of their believers are comprised of ignorant and paranoid fundamentalists.

But don't you know it was a ploy by the NWO /sarcasm

The bolded should be proof that he does not know what spirit Yeshua came of.

I guess I get a little annoyed with the term fundamentalist because well they aren't really fundamentalist because if they were then the Law of Agape would be the only thing they would need and reject anything that counters that fundamental core. If anything they are literalists who are trying to promote a god of their own creation rather than the God of Yeshua.

Yup. If you go through the site, you can see they're posting material from the likes of Jones and Schnoebelen, too. As far as I can tell, people like these are usually the primary sources for the anti-non-mainstream Christianity material posted by the masses.

Another nut I forgot is Texe Marrs, who claims that just about everything is really a Satanic symbol. Circles, triangles, stars, rainbows, etc... they're all secret Illuminati symbols. rolleyes

I've encountered people who are so deep into this stuff that if you tell them otherwise, they'll instantly decide that you are a disinformation agent and/or not Christian.

UGH. I get that my friends expect me to have a social life, and I'm sorry that I've spent the last two weekends knitting and cooking, both things that are more spiritually rewarding to me than going out to bars and getting drunk or hanging around at someone's apartment and watching television, which I could do by myself, at home.

So I feel guilted into hanging out with them because they're starting to get all "Jeez are you mad at me or something? we never see you anymore!" So we're going to see a movie this afternoon. Which I'd never heard of. Cue wikipedia research.

The movie in question is The ******** Crazies, and okay Ashley, I get that Tim Olyphant's in it and he's cute and whatever but that movie looks to be both horrible and horribly offensive and why, why did I agree to this. dammit. Why don't my friends have better taste in movies, whyyyyyy.

I feel I'm no good as this job hunting thing, and I'm tired of looking and tired of being constantly told that I need to look and tired of feeling stuck.

It sucks. I just got out of it myself. You could use this time for self reflection or picking up a new hobby/skill.
