Amnity chuckled a bit, taking some fresh vegetables and herbs from the herbal section of the grocery store. She saw that Melanie had a cart, so she placed the foods in there. "She likes egg and toast...But I'll cook something that we'll all like." She thought about it as she continued down the food aisle. "I guess I'll have to cook a lot of it too...So when we do get hungry there's enough left over..." Amnity picked up a pack of cut pork and checked it before putting it back. "That's why I'm asking you guys...What do you want me to cook?"

"Hmm...I wonder..." Zahzi said, tapping his chin.
"Have you ever made a dish called Chicken Marsala?" he asked, looking over at her with an eyebrow raised.

Amnity thought about it. She recalled a special dish that was in the cook book. “I’ve never made it, but I’ve seen the recipe.” She looking around, biting her lip, trying to remember the ingredients she needed to cook. The soldier walked down the aisle, searching. “Onions…Green ginger.” She plucked them from the shelves, carrying them in her arms. “The chicken, of course…Chopped parsley…” Amnity smiled, rushing to another aisle to pick up a small bottle of cooking marsala. “Ah, and the marsala.”

"I'm sure I'll be fine with whatever you cook. I'm not that picky." she said as she pushed the cart along. "I just ususally go out to eat, make sandwiches, or order take out. Homecook meals are the best though. I just never bother to cook."

"Cooking is a good hobby." Amnity thought about it, and chuckled. "But I don't really cook as a hobby now seeing as I have 5 mouths to feed now a days."

"Wow, so many. Zazhi, Laviatar, Vosa, your other roommate, and yourself. It's like one big happy family." Melanie thought about who she lives with. No one except Yuki. It seems so empty. Now that makes me feel sort of lonely.

Amnity thought she heard a tinge of sadness in Melanie's voice. She immediately felt bad, then tried to cheer her up. "Don't worry, I'll make this meal extra special, for all of us."

Melanie put on a smile and said, "Who's worried? I sure you aren't a bad cook. Maybe you can teach me how to cook something new." That sounds nice, cooking as a hobby.

"You are part of the family, after all." A feeling of warmth came upon Melanie. It's been a while since I've had this feeling. She closed her eyes, still smiling, savoring the warmth. "Thank you Amnity."

Amnity leaned foward a bit, wondering why she was closing her eyes. She then smiled when she smiled. "No problem. Come on, lets find something that you could cook up. Leave the cart there and let Zahzi take care of it.

"All I can do is cook noodles, fry eggs, and make sandwiches." she said with a sweat drop appearing on her head. "I've never spent much time in the kitchen." She left the cart near Zazhi for him.

"Riight...I'll just go see if I can find something for the apartment then..." Zahzi said, looking around the store for directions.
"Ah, there we are..." he said, walking westward, towards one of the sectionss of the store.

Amnity looked to Zahzi, wondering what he was doing. Aw well...As long as he pays for it. "So what do you want t try and cook first Melanie? How about I let you help me cook the dinner for tonight?"

"Okay, fine by me. Let's just try to cook that dish Zazhi wanted, chicken marsala. Or maybe something easier, just to start me off. Maybe lasagna or something."
