Veru blushed slightly. "Eh. More of the whole vampires verses werewolves... Before my problem, Thia just scared the crap out of me. Now she's just weird..." He thought about how he was trying to be nice and not offend anyone. "Er... Before the wolf problem, Thia was just passing through and happened to stop near my home. I found her on accident and she was restraining herself from killing me. I brought her home and had her feed off the animals we had. She was still kinda young, but she still had a lot of control back then..." He sounded slightly as if he was in awe. "I was never that controlled during my 'weirder' days..." He shook his head and laughed. "When I first saw Thia feed off a goat, I thought she was either going to puke or rip her own hands off. It was hilarious."
Rin laughed lightly as she mixed the ingredients. She looked at the book and bit her lip. "We need one last thing..." She walked over to the door and smiled before opening it. "I'll be right back, you two just wait here. Don't touch the brew, it might react..." She stepped outside and closed the door behind her.
Veru tilted his head. "Was it something I said?"

Rin opened the door, ran inside and slammed it behind her. "RAYESHA!!!" She stood there and panted heavily, trying to get her breath back. She was covered in dirt and holding a twisted root. "Blegh!" Rin walked over to her mixture and chopped up part of the root, dropping it into the brew as thinly sliced chunks. "Ok, simmer for a few hours. Then we have Someria drink it..." She sounded like she was talking to herself... She turned and waved at the two sitting on her bed, Veru gave her a very confused look. "Uh, what the hell?"
Rin smiled and closed her eyes. "Heheh... Sorry 'bout that. Magic groundhogs aren't friendly."

Veru nodded, following Someria. Rin smiled and waved. "Seeya! I gotta watch the potion."
Veru opened the door and smacked a brown flying furry thing that was headed for his face. A small groundhog was unconscious on the ground. "You weren't kidding?" He turned and didn't see anymore flying furry creatures of death so he left the room.

Veru laughed. "At this point? The frickin' moon seems peaceful!" He shook his furry head and glanced at the groundhog before closing the door. "How about the cafeteria? It's almost lunch time." Veru still seemed kinda shaken by the whole 'magic grounhog of doom' thing.

Veru led the way to the cafeteria. His stomach growled loudly as he opened the door. "Eh... Freaky werewolf crap." He poked his stomach lightly with one of his claws. "Better eat before I attack someone..." He got in line and nearly started laughing as one of the lunch staff gave his a frightened look. Too used to having people cringe or panic at his appearance, Veru didn't really think it was any different until the lunch lady stammered out a question. "A-are you V-veru?" He looked surprised. "Uh, yeah? What's up?"
The lunch lady literally ran to the back. Veru looked absolutely dumbfounded at this point. "The hell? I didn't even growl..." A minute later the same lady came back and plopped three steaks onto his tray. "H-have a nice d-day!" She smiled nervously at Veru before handing Someria a salad.
Veru left the line looking completely confused. "Did I complain that much yesterday? I'm not unhappy about it, but jeez. Weird bunch..." He looked at the lady to see her duck under the counter. "Not only that, she looked like she saw a damn ghost..."

Veru sat down at one of the tables and shook his head. He was still confused as to why the lady would act like that. He hadn't threatened her or complained about the lunch selection to her face, he guessed someone might have told them, or threatened for him.
Lightly wondering who would help him out like that, Veru waved slightly at Someria, motioning for her to join him. "Hey, who do you think would threaten the lunch gals to give me some meat? I don't think you did it, because you look just as surprised as I did. I don't think Rin did, but knowing her as little as I do, I might be wrong. Thia would laugh at me if I bothered to ask her so I really doubt she did it..." Veru put his chin in his hand and leaned over the table. "Bleh. I hate mysteries..."

Veru shook his head. "None of them acted like that. Not towards me at least. Something happened to really shake them up..." He thought about asking Rin or Thia. "Rin would have told me, if I ever asked... I doubt it was her though, she'd been with you before you came to my room, right? Thia had been gone for a few hours before you guys came in..." He scratched his ear and groaned. "Gragh. If Thia did me a favor, I owe her. If she did this as a freebie, why the hell didn't she warn me?" He seemed really confused.
