Cormag makes a better wyvern lord because the wyvern lord caps suit his best stat (strength). The pegasus knights make much better wyvern knights.
And Knoll is awesome. SUki jst got really unlucky with that defense. He usally gets at least 10. Beesides, make him a summoner and he never has to worry about being attacked in the first place. biggrin
If you plan on using an axe guy go with Ross as a Berserker. You should try the other trainees as well. (Ewan and Amelia) They're a bit of a pain to raise but Valni easily fixes that. 3nodding
And please give Neimi another chance. crying

Joshua + Artur = pwnage. XD
I made Knoll into a Summoner in Eirika's story [still low defense] and 'm too lazy to use Knoll again in Ephraim's story.
I'm also trying out Colm as Rogue, but there are no great results so far...
Gods. I wish old people would stop talking to me when I'm busy.
I used Artur as sage all three times, because he's a lot stronger that way. Although when he fought against Lute, he lost. /=

@Oscar - I'm trying to use Neimi this time. I started the game again a few days ago, and I'm going to go Ephraim's route this time. I'm going to try Ewan this time too, but not Amelia cause I had a lot of lance users in my last file. Although... I dunno.. maybe I'll use her instead of a pegasus knight. And yeah, I'm going to keep Ross this time too.
@sukiyakii - Yes, Joshua + Artur = pwnage. They did a good majority of the damage against the Demon King and Lyon. As for Colm... hm.. I dunno, cause I found him a lot stronger than Rennac. As in, where Rennac might do 3 or 4 damage, Colm could do about 9 or 10 with the same weapon. And he always double attacked. His speed was maxed out, and his skill was pretty close.

Although Joshua and Artur are great together, I prefer him with Lute. XD Lute's hilarious~! I think Colm should have been stronger, since you train him as a thief. That's why I don't really use already promoted people because they're generally weaker then the ones you've leveled up yourselves.

Yeah... I try not to use prepromoted people either. Like, in PoR, I specifically don't use Titania when I have someone else I could use. I'm starting to do that with Seth in my new Sacred Stones file, because you really do get a lot of people early on.
Really? I tried to get their supports, but I rarely had them in adjacent squares because sometimes I forgot about supports, or Joshua was already in that space. And sometimes Lute just wasn't around. I'll keep that in mind in this file though.

Titania's still level three in my file. I dumped her as soon as I got Oscar. I think. I did use Seth, though. But he's not so strong as Kyle or Franz.
I did the supports in the Tower of Valni. I don't have time for supports in real battles. XD

If I used the Tower more, then I probably would've too. I think I only did two supports in the tower, which were Joshua and Natasha's C and Ephraim and Eirika's C.
XD Yeah... In my current file, I had dumped Titania about then too, but I got to the chapter where you get Makalov, and I found that it was nearly impossible to kill the boss without her. So I had to use her in that chapter too. Then I never used her again.

Lute's supports with Ross are pretty good too. But Ross' best supports are Gerik and Amelia strategically. On my current playthrough, I did thoe supports and Roos now has a Crit of 81% with a killer axe. twisted And he doesn't even have 15 skill.
And Franz is pretty good too, though it's been awhile since he turned out really good on any of my playthroughs.
And I thought Colm was one of the best units in SS. he always maxes strength and speed, and every now and hen he maxes luck. ( a lot of characters have good luck in this one for some reason...)

Whooo.... 81% crit! That's awesome!
Yeah, I found Franz to be the best of the cavalier people.
Yeah... Colm is so awesome. I really found it quite surprising, since I was used to thieves doing little to no damage. Which made Colm a must for my team, when I usually don't use thieves. Or at least in FE9, cause I don't even find Volke good enough to use. Matthew, if I remember correctly, was pretty good.

Yep. Plus, Amelia and Gerik are both worthwhile characters. 3nodding
Yeah, Klye's not bad either. Forde's not as good as either, but he's still not bad.
I honestly thought that Legault was better than Mathew personally.

I trained Matthew longer then Legualt, so he turned out better. I had him supported with Guy and they both rarely get hit. :3 Plus, Guy's criticals are pretty high, around 90+% with the Killing Edge, I FREAKIN' LOVE HIM. X3
Another great unit is Erky~ And after a little elbow grease, Nino can be one of the best units as well.
Forde's like a Sain and Kyle's like a Kent. Forde maxed out on skill, but Kyle had a higher strength. Although I don't like Kyle as a character, he's good as defense, but I've always used Franz and Ephraim as walls.

sukiyakii Forde's like a Sain and Kyle's like a Kent. LOL And I thought I was the only one who saw this. Sometimes, I would think that Forde is the descendant of Sain's while Kyle is descended from Kent's. sweatdrop

Yep, Kent and Sain, Kyle and Forde, and Oscar and Kieran are all part of one of a few different FE character archtypes. The social knight duo.

Oscar's a little bit different from Kent and Kyle, though. He's more friendly and squinty.
I'm trying to think of more similarities, but I'm currently pissed at my brother.
