Jao complied to Ichnel's request, gathering his things together to walk out of the shadows and into the sunlight. He kept his eyes focused just beyond the other two, not wanting to come off as too aggresive. It was paramount to his mission that he maintain the appearance of nothing more than a clueless traveler.
He came to a stop before the elf and human with an apprehensive smile. "Good morning Ichnel, and to you," Jao added with a friendly nod towards Valerye. "I never had a chance to thank you properly for your kind hospitality. I am indebted to you." He continued softly.
Standing before Ichnel felt very much like looking into an unsettling mirror that reflected only opposites. Jao's long black hair was mirrored in Ichnel's face, as was his pale skin colored across the other's locks. Ichnel's eyes looked on clearly with a steady white, while Jao's never settled in a shameless display of his emotions.
Jao resisted the urge to stare at the ground. It was never comfortable to be reminded of Shalondia, and looking at Ichnel was the equivalent of a slap in the face.

Marael nodded and walked back down the steps as Luke started to wake up.

"I assume they plan on testing you for magical abilities. Better safe than sorry." She said, looking around at the slowly waking humans. She saw Valerye slip outside, and after seeing everything was under control, she followed, running a hand through her auburn hair, which was undoubtedly very tossled, trying to make it at least look fairly presentable.

She gave a yawn as she stepped into the bright light, and stretched like cat, getting rid of the sleepiness still at the edges of her vision. She felt a p***k on her arm and looked down to see four small marks on her upper arm from Gabe's prodding earlier. She gave a sigh. She wasn't too worried, as the marks would heal by tomorrow.

Marael looked up as she heard an unfamiliar voice and saw Valerye and Ichnel standing next to another, more timid elf, who was talking. She walked over.

"Good morning Ichnel, Valerye. Who is your friend?" She asked with a smile.

Before long, Luke appears at the door in his full glory...well, not exactly. He's in his boots, pants (thankfully), his doublet, and his sword belt. That's pretty much it. His hair simply sits on his head as if it is simply content to not be messy. It's not short enough to actually mess up, long enough to simply shake back into place, yet not long enough to tangle in his sleep. He grins and steps out, popping his back with a nice stretch. He looks over at Marael and grins, thinking about Gabe.
"Rawr."
He says quietly, to no one in particular.

"Good morning to you too." Valerye greeted. She wondered about elvish customs, and was about to ask Ichnel about it. Did she have to bow or touch her thumb to her heart or something? She didn't want to seem rude, especially to one of Ichnel's acquaintances. Valerye wanted to ask what the difference was between the darker elves and the elves of Bredia. Ichnel had talked to another dark elf in a different tongue, which made Valerye curious. There was also the question of the magic arena they were going to visit later that day, and the meeting with the Elder(s), when Marael come out. "Hi." Valerye waved. "Is Luke awake yet?" Seeing him come out answered her question.

Jao opened his mouth to introduce himself to the two girls when the scent of old blood caught his attention. He focused in on Marael's arm, unconsciously finding himself irrisistibly drawn to the wound.
"Please, if I may?" He asked, presenting her his hand with the palm facing upwards- a universal sign for offering help. As a master of the healing magick, it was important for Jao to ask before lending his services. Socially, it was the same as poking someone with a spear, or the tip of an arrow. His magick was at the level of a weapon, and using it without given consent was majorly offensive.

Marael nodded to Valerye and turned to regard Luke as he walked out, looking only slightly more awake. She smiled at him and was about to say something when the newcomer attracted her attention.

She looked back at his outstretched hand in suprise a moment, then realized he was offering to heal her arm. Unconsiously, she glanced down at her arm, which was bleeding slightly. She shook her head.

"Oh, no it's fine. Gabe does it all the time. I'll be healed in a day or two." She said. "It's nothing to worry about." She paused a moment, then continued. "I appreciate the offer, though." She gave him a small half-bow. "I am Marael."

Ichnel mentaly sighed. Yet another elf to flinch at the mere sight of him. Although, he could hardly blame Jao, what with all the atrocities his people have commited.

Ichnel was glad when Marael joined them and pleased to see that most of the humans were awake. It almost startled Ichnel when Jao offered to heal Marael so suddenly. How was she injured? Her arm was bleeding where Gabe had bitten her in his efforts to wake her up.

He raised an eyebrow when Marael turned down the healing. Sure the wound would be healed in a day or two, but if she didn't stop the bleeding and let the wound mend, even her fair elven skin would scar. Most elves weren't keen on being disfigured for their long lives and Ichnel was fairly sure Marael was no exception to that.

Ichnel rumaged through the pouch he kept tied to his belt, pulling out a little, sealed clay jar and handed it to Marael.

"Rub this over the punctures. It will stop the bleeding, although I am afraid it does not smell very pleasant," Ichnel said.

He hoped Marael would at least accept this form of healng. At least it would let her heal naturally without scarring.

The day has only just begun and Luke's already a bit bored just waiting for everyone to get up and get ready. He unstraps his sword and sets it on the ground. Taking a step behind it, he spreads his feet to a bit over shoulder length apart. His stance becomes fluid as he brings his hands in front of his chest to form a ball, his right hand over his left, palm down, while his left palm is up. He gently pushes the air ball out, then brings it back. Then His right hand slides to the left over his left arm, then his left hand follows after a moment. His hands then move to a position as if he's about to peek around a corner. He slides the "wall" from his left to his right. He then repeats this entire process. It appears to be some strange form of yoga. His moves are smooth and fluid, and his eyes are closed.

Jao gave a sort of noncommital shrug when Marael turned down his offer, and had lowered his hand to let it drop beside his side once again. He was a little disappointed to leave any wound unattended, no matter how small, but it was Marael's choice. Though a strange choice it was. Did she really not mind leaving the bite to mar her skin like that?
Unconsciously, Jao lightly traced the deep scarring along his right forearm. Even for elves whom's magick was that of healing, some wounds never really faded...
Jao almost smiled at his own foolishness when he realized what he was doing, shifting his arm so the drapings of his sleeve covered the scar once again. Let the past remain where it belonged: in the past.

Marael shook her head, a rueful smile on her face as she accepted the jar.

"I nearly forgot what it was like travelling with other people." She said with a grin. "It's truly nothing to worry about. I don't scar that easily." Seeing Ichnel's look, she smiled. "I'll put it on later." She promised, pocketing the jar. Unless, of course I forget. She added silently, but kept her thoughts to herself for the moment. She watched Luke for a moment with interest, then turned back to look at the silent house behind them.

"What is taking them so long anyway?" She wondered aloud.

((What is taking them so long... ))

Seeing that several of the others had already gone outside to wait, Emmia and Terra shared a glance before they they both moved for the door, deciding to join them as well. Emmia gave a last sweep of the room where Haylin, Jeni and Lae all seemed to still be getting themselves together while Terra slipped out the door.

Terra was simply anxious to see what the new day would hold. With Noren at her ankles, she started down the stairs at a run. Again, her fingers traced passed the bark of the ancient tree, leaving a string of flaming red buds behind. They wasted no time and the petals opened, revealing their white-ish center. Terra was still oblivious and simply hurried over to Valerye's side, wanting to know what the topic of conversation was.
"Morning everyone." she said softly with a grin.

The mid-day light welcomed Emmia in stride and caught in her flame colored eyes in a flicker of bright orange. Her silver hair took on the light as well and tossed lightly as she made her way down the stairs. As the human girl had dashed in such a rush before her, she had noticed the odd sprouting of flowers. It took a moment for it to click that the girl's touch had been the cause. She watched Terra as she joined the group, surprised by what potential these humans seemed to have in magick. Making a note to inform Ichnel later of this discovery, Emmia found her pace again. She glanced up and saw the whole of the small group congregating a few yards away, near the thick part of the forest. Six... three elves and three humans. Wait. Three elves? She looked closer and went through the names in her mind. All matched up except for one elf with long hair, the color of cinders after a flame had taken the life from wood. She grinned as she gazed at Jao and made her way over.
Emmia moved, first, to Ichnel. Business first.
"Lae is taking care of the other two. They should be coming any moment now..." she said, glancing back at the tree home before resting her eyes on Jao with a warm smile.
"Glad to see you found your way. How was your night, Jao?" she asked, pleased to see he was somewhat more comfortable than the night before. Though, she wasn't sure of what to think of the flightly feeling in her own stomach.

If you asked anyone in Bredia, or those who knew him, many would say that Ichnel was one of the most patient of elves. He was slow to anger and was for the most part forgiving.

For the first time in a long while, Ichnel was starting to get annoyed.

Maybe terms of etiquette were different in the human world, but he hoped that the humans had rescpect for their elders at least. If they delayed any further, it would be an insult to the Elder. Ichnel wasn't angry per say, but he did want the group to get a move on and he'd given the girls enough time to wake up.

"If this does not wake them up, I do not know what will," Ichnel thought irritably.

Ichnel raised his left hand and flicked it at tree/house. Inside, three roots rose out of the ground, swayed a little bit, and with a snap, wacked each of the young women across the rump. Ichnel tried to make the snaps more sound than actual impact. He would NEVER intentionaly harm Lae or any whom she called her guest.

Jao's irises flushed a deep green as Emmia approached the goup, watching the way the sunlight carressed her hair and ignited her eyes in a mesmerizing display of color. He returned her smile with one of his own.
"Very pleasant, thanks to you and Ichnel. You both have my gratitude." He replied politely. Jao could feel himself starting to grow slightly anxious now that Emmia was there. Embarrassing, but she made him nervous.
The neckruffling feel of magick rising from Ichnel gave Jao noice before the loud crack that resonated from the tree house. His smile broadened into a small grin. That certainly should get the others going.

Valerye snorted at the faint snap noise. Having noticed the other elves' eyes turn different colors the previous night, Valerye asked, "Why is it that your eyes changes color?" She had been dying to ask last night, but they were all tired. It was sort of random, but Valerye wanted to know anyways.

Marael smirked as she felt Ichnel's magic, followed by a snapping inside Lae's house. That should get them moving. She thought. She was regarding the newcomer's reaction to Emmia when Valerye's question caught her attention. She turned to the girl in surprise.

"I thought you would have figured that out by now, my friend. Elven eyes change with their moods." She informed the human. "It varies with each individual, but generally speaking, each color is one kind of mood; anger, happiness, embarassment." Her eyes flicked over to the new elf, so fast it was hard to catch, then back to Valerye. "It can be equally convient or annoying." She smiled. "I find it so interesting how human eyes do not change with your feelings." She admitted with a smile. "Very interesting."

((I hope everything there is correct...if not, tell me and I'll change it!!))
