First of all, Pompy is not an "it." Aiden is a "he."
They are musty anyway because of the powder they secret to keep their feather water resistant, so they all have their distinct little smell. Aiden is FULL of testosterone and is an alpha bird, so we figure he smells stronger for both reasons.

I have 8 birds.
6 parakeets-- Noah, Darby, Owen, Loki, Tor, Colin
2 cockatiels-- Aiden and Finnley
All boys.

When we were picking out Finnley, the bird people couldn't figure out the sex of these cockatiels (too young to tell). One bits my dad's finger and doesn't let go. He had to pry the birds little beak out of his finger. The seller just looked at him and said "Yeah, that's a female."

My dad shoved his finger into the cage right next to Finnley, and Finn just looked at it. Looked at my dad, and then looked away. That's when I knew he was the bird for......my uncle. HAHAHAHAHA! He actually bought Finnley for my uncle but when I showed my mom the new cockatiel that we WERE giving to Bill, she liked him so much she made my dad drive back out (an hour away) to pick up the new bird. So we kept Finnley.

He's so sweet!!! He'll sit on my chest and put his head on my chin and rub his head on my face until I start to pet him and groom his head feathers. If I still don't he starts grooming my hair (he thinks it's my feathers) as an act of love. heart heart heart heart
I love that little guy. He's so happy all the time. And he's the one with the heart condition. It seriously is always the good ones.
