Dr. Fomite Peppermint Elf Well, "Mad Eye"'s real name is Alastair, but having 2 Al's might confuse everyone. What about Fred and Colin? gonk There's also that old woman who got eaten by Nagini... Bathilda? The whole Mad Eye line of conversation reminds me of the line from The Last Crusade, "Indy was the dog's name!"
But yeah, I pity the kids that end up with some of those names. xd Oh, and this. I laughed so hard at the last panel. 4laugh rofl that's hilarious.

If people haven't yet, they should read Potterdammerung, though only if they've read DH. It's basically a very silly retelling, so it is naturally loaded with spoilers. And pretty damned funny.
I'm not even half-way through it yet, but I've had numerous good LOL moments. heart
And, oh my s**t, when it gets to the part about Harry viewing Snape's memories. I just about died. heart

I love this... (quotes from website thinger)
Even taking turns with the locket doesn't help matters much, and Ron takes it worst, reverting to emo-Ron from Book 4.
and Ron: Man, I wish I was back at Hogwarts breaking into the Headmaster's office. It'd be something to do, instead of sitting here doing nothing. Excuse me, I'm going to go listen to The Smiths. blaugh heart

I started thinking of The Princess Bride when I read this part and started imagining Dumbledore sticking a bellow in Harry's mouth and seeing what would bring him back...
Harry: I'm dead.
Dumbledore: Mostly.

Dr. Fomite I'll keep them in mind. I've still got a ton of books around the house to read, too. I can't stop myself from buying them when they're on sale. sweatdrop
And I counter with this. I'll see your this and raise you a that!Pic does have a spoiler, but is still awesome.

whee Almost done with potterdammerung!
Dumbledore: You know, Severus, you had your big fight with her when you were 15, over half a lifetime ago. Carrying a torch for her after all these years ... bit obsessive don't you think. Maybe it's time you move on. Start dating. I've found the personal ads in the Quibbler are quite rewarding.
Snape: There'll never be anyone else for me. Now excuse me, I'm going to listen to The Cure. I love the emo-music references!
And Zely: xd

Zelyphon's link is indeed very awesome. I like all the facial expressions. Also:
Whenever I see that scene, I can't help but think "You have to mean it" and boy does she ever mean it.

Along with the Fresh Prince rap. I laughed until I cried at that bit.And Makani is definitely one of my favourite HP artists. heart She's always so great. whee

They had an article about that on the Comcast front page. whee I'm sure I'll end up snagging it.
I always liked the mystery/"whodunnit" aspects of the HP plots, so I thought a crime novel sounded like a rather promising prospect; I think we can count on her for some good twists. And I'm really hoping she keeps her same wonky sense of humour in her future works, even if she's changing her target audience somewhat.
I don't know that I'll ever enjoy her future novels quite as much or if she'll ever manage another character I'll totally fall in love with, a la Snape, but I'm definitely willing to give anything she writes a chance.
Honestly, though, I'm a little surprised she's already jumping back into writing. xd I figured she might want to take a little time off after the years of working under the strain of the Potter books.

Obsessive as I am, I have seen both. xd And yes, absolutely loved them. The latter in particular. Just so...true. heart The "..and crap" in the first panel made megiggle more than it should.
Also, I counter with THIS. Which made me laugh my a** off. (Spoiler!)
