My mom and I were dropping off my cousin's boyfriend and I saw a shop that sold chandeliers. I almost grabbed the steering wheel form my mom to go to the store.

And there's a mini chandelier in the hallway of my dad's house. i saw it and I spazzed. It's maybe a foot from my room. One day I'm just gonna crash it for fun.

I have a small chandelier in my dining room. I put my Erik plushie on it all the time to pretend he's gonna crash it. XD

I'm staring at the chandelier above the dining room table and I'm seriously debating on bringing it down and putting it in my room when no one is watching.

In the musical Les Miserables, a couple of guys are making fun of another guy who is falling in love with a girl and they say (or rather sing): "You talk of battles to be won, and here he comes like Don Juan, It's better than an opera." for some reason it just reminds of Phantom.

That reminds me of it too! Except in Les Mis they pronounce it Don Joo-Ahn...not the right way.

I don't know if someone has mentioned this already. In the movie High School Musical there's a scene where Phantom of the Opera is referenced in a rather odd way...

Chad: "Have you ever seen Michael Crawford on a cereal box?"

Troy: "Who's Michael Crawford?"

Chad: "Exactly my point. He was the "Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway. Now my mom, she's seen that musical 27 times and she put Michael Crawford's picture in our refrigerator. Not on it. IN it. So my point is, if you play basketball, you'll end up on the cereal box. If you sing in musicals, you'll end up in my mom's refrigerator."

Troy Bolton: "Why would she put his picture in your refrigerator?"

Chad: "I don't know, one of her crazy diet ideas. Look, I don't attempt to understand the female mind. It's foreign territory."

I wonder if any phans have actually taken Chad's mom's advice and put MC's picture in their refrigerator. XD

...
I'm gonna take it.
It'll prolly work too.

I was reading a manga called Dramacon: the main character's name is Christie Leroux.

Speaking of comics, has anyone else seen the POTO reference in Foxtrot? I searched around, but couldn't find a picture anywhere, but I remember the gist of it. Jason and Marcus, two young boys, walk in from the right and ask Jason's mother if she would drive them to the opera. She turns to look at them, then vehemontly refuses. Jason and Marcus then turn around, revealing that they're both wearing half masks on the right side of their faces. Marcus then says that they probably shouldd have waited to put the masks on after they got there, as Jason says that hindsight is 20/20.

For some reason I put on Toon Disney while I painted my room, and they were playing a rerun of the series Pepper Ann. Pepper Ann gets a zit, and in one her fantasies, she's working at a pizza shop and wears a half mask.

Has anyone seen the movie My Fair Lady? 'Cause if you have I'm sure you recognized that in the beginning of the movie all these people are coming out of an Opera House and guess what! There's a sign mentioning the name of the Opera House and the Opera that was playing at the moment....guess what it is! No, no Hannibal, this is more book related. Yes, is FAUST! And I was like, PHANTOM! My parents were all staring at me like I was crazy...it was really hilarious...

I have two! In the new Ghost Rider movie, near the end when Roxy touches Johnny's face while he's still in "rider" form, his face changes back to normal in a wave away from her fingers, pausing momentarily when there is a small area still unchanged on the right (his right) side of his face. That screamed phantom to me, especially since Johnny had just called himself a monster and Roxy was proving to him that she didn't think he was.
My other one is from a book I'm reading, "Burnt Offerings". There is a vampire in it named Asher who was "cleansed" with holy water on half of his body, so half of him is terribly scarred and distorted. I know, both are a little stretched......

YES!!! SOMEBODY ELSE CAUGHT THAT!!!

Ahem.

During the movie I was holding in a giant squeal because not only is his Rider head a skull, it's on fire like the dude from the book! So the minute we got out of the theater, I was like, "OMG!! That was so Phantom-y!!!" and my mom was looking at me like I had lost my mind. Also, the skull head has no nose. heart heart
