Daisy opened the second box to find the confetti stuff Star was talking about along with the window clings and a few other things she could use to make the place scream BE MINE! "While I do this box, do you want to start on the last box? Or would you want to help with this box so we can just get it all done?" she asked her sister noticing that Star had other ideas. She was pointing at the walls and they were decorating themselves. There were suddenly red walls with pink and white fabrics draping themselves all over the place. The lighting fixtures replaced themselves with candeliers. It was looking amazing in the bakery. After Daisy did the second box, she retired for the night. She was going to need some sleep if she was going to bake her heart out until the dance.

After finishing the decorating, Star started baking up a storm. She had 10 dozen cookies made and was on to cupcakes withing a few hours.

Daisy woke several hours later to the scent of baking cookies and cupcakes. "Mmm" she said to herself and went downstairs to find Star busy at work making lots of nice treats for the dance. "Star, is there anything I can help make?" she asked as she got a cup of coffee to assist with waking up.

Not seeing Daisy come back from her nap due to her being bent over in a cabinet looking for some candy trays, Star jumped and the trays in her hand went flying and landed right on top of the cookies she had just gotten out of the oven. "Oh man! You scared the living daylight out of me. I hadn't realized you came back downstairs." she said to Daisy picking up the trays which had successfully smashed the cookies. She pointed at them and stated "good as new" and they were mended. "I could use some help making some candy if you would like." she said.

Daisy found the first recipe and went right to work. She was going to make several dozen of each recipe. The first she came across was:
Valentine Candy Cones
6 sugar cones
1 bag M&M'S® Brand Chocolate Candies for Valentine's Day
Tape
Plastic wrap
Red or pink cellophane, cut into six 10-inch squares
6 strands (14-inch) thin ribbon in red or pink
1. Loosely wrap 1/2 cup of M&M'S® Brand Chocolate
Candies for Valentine's Day in plastic wrap and tape it closed.
2. Set the wrapped candy on top of a cone.
3. Cover the candy with cellophane and tie with a ribbon.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 to fill the remaining cones.
Makes 6 cones.
She figured that it would be nice to have something cute that said happy lovers lane day and thought this would do the trick!

As Daisy started on her recipe of candy, Star got another recipe out of the box. She needed this one for part of the big centerpiece and although it was also candy, it needed to be done for her big bang. So she pulled out the one for valentine heart.
It is:
Valentine Candy Heart Recipe
1 3/4 C. pecans; toasted -- divided
16 oz. semisweet chocolate
1/4 C. butter
12 oz. white chocolate -- chopped
3/4 C, flaked coconut
Grease an 8-inch heart-shaped cake pan; line bottom with wax paper. Grease wax paper. Sprinkle 1 cup pecans evenly in pan.
Combine semisweet chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate and butter melt, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Place white chocolate in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook until white
chocolate melts, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Drizzle 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate mixture over pecans. Drizzle 1/2 cup white chocolate over semisweet chocolate. Chill mixture in pan 15 minutes or until firm.
Set aside 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate mixture. Combine remaining semisweet chocolate mixture, remaining 3/4 cup pecans, and coconut; stir well. Spread coconut mixture evenly in pan over chilled chocolate. Chill 15 minutes or until firm.
Reheat reserved 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate mixture in top of double boiler, if necessary. Repeat procedure for remaining white chocolate, if necessary. Spoon reserved semisweet chocolate and reserved white chocolate by tablespoonfuls over coconut mixture, making sure chocolates do not overlap. Cut through melted chocolates with a knife to create a marbled effect. Cover and chill candy heart several hours or until firm.
Carefully invert heart; peel off wax paper. Invert again onto a serving plate, or if desired, wrap in decorative cellophane. Serve at room temperature; cut candy with a sharp knife.
Yield 2 pounds.
She was going to use this in a special way. The wondering eyes of Daisy were upon her and Star stated, "You will just have to wait and see what I do with it."

It only took a few minutes to have all of the valentine cones done and displayed in a heart shaped basket for everyone to see as they looked toward the kitchen. So Daisy was off to the recipe box to return the one she had in her hand and get out another one. This time, she pulled out:
$500.00 Fudge
4 1/2 cups sugar
1 large can evaporated milk
3/4 cup butter
18 ounces chocolate chips
3 tablespoons vanilla
1 dash salt
Use large stainless steel pot; cook sugar and canned milk to rolling boil for 6 minutes; stirring constantly; remove from heat.
Add butter, chocolate chips, vanilla, and dash of salt Stir until mixed. Pour into buttered pan. Let stand 6 hours before cutting.
Will keep a long time in cookie tin or a sealed container in a cool place.
The only thing she would do to this fudge is that she would cut it using a heart shape cutter and then she and Star could share the left overs for breakfast. Daisy got busy making fudge. She knew it would take the remainder of the day, so she hulled into her corner at the cooktop and got busy. She was just so happy to have the bakery filled with the scent of two bakers at work. She couldn't wait for Valentines day now. It would be so fun to have everyone here in the bakery.

Seeing that Daisy was such a hard worker, Star decided now would be a good time to tell her the secret that was on her heart, "Daisy, I know that you love having me around to help, but I need to tell you something. I need you to know that Vince and I are an item and I can see us together forever. So if that ever happens I want you to know that the bakery will be turned over to you in the event of me and Vince deciding to open another business or having to go full time at the bar again." She had hoped that Daisy wouldn't mind but wasn't sure what her reaction would be. Star finished putting the candy heart together and then sat down. She had been working for hours and needed a rest.

~*~ After finding the note Star left, Sakura got busy brewing some Earl Grey tea for everyday use, and she put together a special Valentine tea. She boxed it all up and put a note in the box that said:
Star,
Thank you for your business please see the attached recipe as it has a little something special for the dance.
The attached piece of paper said the following:
LOVE POTION TEA
1 pinch of rosemary
2 teaspoons of black tea
3 pinches thyme
3 pinches nutmeg
3 fresh mint leaves
6 fresh rose petals
6 lemon leaves
3 cups pure spring water
Sugar & Honey
To make another person fall in love with you, brew this tea
on a Friday during a waxing moon.
Place all ingredients in an earthenware or copper tea kettle. Boil three cups of pure spring water and add to the kettle. Sweeten with sugar and honey, if desired. Before drinking, recite this magical rhyme:
BY LIGHT OF MOON WAXING I BREW THIS TEA TO MAKE [lover's name] DESIRE ME. Drink some of the tea and say: GODDESS OF LOVE HEAR NOW MY PLEA LET [lover's name] DESIRE ME! SO MOTE IT BE SO MOTE IT BE On the following Friday, brew another pot of the love potion tea and give some to the person you want to love you. He or she will soon begin to fall in love with you.

Lucky N Bam i wanna make CAKE!! mmmmhh... Star got up when she heard a young girl enter the bakery and state that she wanted to make cake. She replied with, "Miss, can I help you? I would love to allow you to make your own cake, but currently all of our ovens are super busy making things for the Valentine Dance. Can we offer you a cupcake to hold you over until they are clear?" she said and at that instant she heard a knock at the door. "Excuse me a moment" she said heading toward the door. She found a box sitting on the steps and picked it up.

After bringing the box in and sitting it down, she opened it to find the tea that she had been waiting on and a note from Sakura which had a recipe and little saying on it. She would have to have copies made and put a copy with each person's tea that she was sending home with them from the dance. It was so nice of Sakura to provide the tea.
"Look, Daisy, we got the tea we were waiting for." she said to her sister.
