A young-looking mage in all red bows low as he enters the area, "I'm not sure if I'm jumping the gun here, or not, but I am the Arch-Magus Lazarus. Feel free to call me Laz for short, it's what I'm used to being called. I have come here in quest of treasure's and the experience of hunting down foe's, and tackling great obsticals. Alas, the foes and obsticals around here are a bit much for a solidary mage, like myself. If there are any brave adventures around here, like myself, that wish to advance through the realm, I'd be greatly interested in lending my skills."
With that, Laz sits down in a chair, awaiting others to the meeting area inside the tavern.

A small gnome sized man walks up to the newcomer of the Inn.
"Well hello there fellow magely one! I Am Gerbo Tosscobble! Legenary Sorcerer, and Head Master of the 'Order of Magic Preservation.' Tis a plesure to make your acuaintence! There are few adventures around at this point that are avalible for a quest, but just wait! Things will be wraping up quickly here for some of them very soon."
Gerbo then took a seat and scratched at his beard for a moment.
"If you can find 2 more people that haven't signed up for the Survial tournement at the Myr school of necromancy, you can sign up! the event should be starting shorty! it would be a good way for the res of us to see what your made of, magic wise!"

The minature mage in blue, bowed low, smiling lightly at the gnome, who stood only a foot or so shorter than Laz. "Thank you, kindly gnome. It would be nice to prove that I have what it takes."
A thought occured to Laz, and he looked around slowly, "Kind gnome-mage. Would you be able to point me to a show where I can expand my spell book? I do not feel as skilled with the spells avaliable to me as I should feel."

"Yes actually! The school of Necrmancy games that i had talked about earlier is giveing away prizes, like crytals and different spells that they have been working on! Will be the best new magic we've seen around these parts in a while!"

He smiled lightly, tapping the bag of coins at the side of his belt, before looking back to the gnome-mage, "I ment a spell or two that I may procure. I have an extra chip or two."
He didn't want to flant what he had, but he knew he needed to get something that wasn't as taxing on him as the spell he currently had.

"Well i'll tell you what m'lad, since you seem like a skilled caster, an VERY skilled caster, why dont you take a spell that will drain your internal supply of magic not at all, that way you can store up your magic power for other things.. say summoning? Yes, if you had an energy burst, you should be able to use that without drawing on any of your reserves... I happen to have an extra one avalible from my previous adventures! They normally sell for about 200 chips, though i would be more than happy to sell it to you for just 175 chips! What do you say?"
Gerbo said whilst giving a rather large smile.
(In game terms, since you have 2 practiced spellcaster lvls, all lvl 1 and 2 spells cost 0! thats a neat little trick I do myself as well. Another thing to remeber though is that a summon is not a spell, so the skilled casters don't reduce the cost. though say, you cast energy burst the first round. then you save your 1 mp, on the secon round you can cast energy burst again AND cast your summon because its not technically a spell. tis a good stratagy indeed! or what you could do as well, if there is no other mage in your party that can use your partys pool of MP, take the extr MP the first round, so you have a total of 2, use your summon, then cast energy burst. Or if you want to be really evil, take the MP pool point every round, and cast a fireball the first round and save your mp, then the second round cast another fireball with the party pool, and use the two you saved to use your summon! Any questions?)

Laz pondered this for a few moments. 25 chips off the base cost wasn't that bad, But it didn't really scream "Deal" either. He looked the gnome up and down slowly, "Would you be willing to take an additional 25 chips off the cost of that spell? I mean, if you're selling it, it can't be worth much to you anymore anyways. And I've herd the shops around here don't buy spells back anyways. At least you'll still get something for the spell. What do ya say?"
(See I wasn't sure how the group thing went. I knew everything else, of course. I even mentioned that in my char submission. That's kinda why I bought the mana pots. But I was thinking solo stuff, and discovered that there IS no solo. So you're saying that in a group setting... say Ace, Betty, Chris, and Dana... They each get their own mp and ap, and then a 5th mp and ap floats around, that the leader can give to whom-ever he or she wants?)

"aye! I can do that for a fellow mage! If it were for one of those strong headed warrior brutes, then i would charge then 195! But yes then for 150 chips, we have an accord!"
(And yes, there is that party poll that just floats there. And actually, there is a solo, the tournament that was hosted as a dungeon by the DM that is currently on hiatus. Though if you talk with GC he might let you do something alone, but it looks like the crater fountain dungeon is over now so you can group with them now.)

Laz smiled wide, counting out the chips, and shuffling thema round in his hand. This would really help him out as he explored the world. And he was really likeing the Gnome infront of him. "Thank you, kindly Gerbo. And I understand your feeling to those dim-witted sword-and-board types, but they do have their uses... Getting hit while we do all the work!" He laughed lightly, before shakeing his head slowly. "Nah, there are some good ones in the bunch as well. I think it just depends on their interactions with other people."
( Umm, should we post the coin-for-spell trade somewhere? And cool, maybe I'll be able to get into the tourny. just maybe razz )

Striding into the bar again casually whistling he stopped dead in his tracks. "Your still here micro mage?" He said staring at the gnome through his dark obsidian lenses. "I spent hours ditching that angry mob and here you stand making profit? Without sharing a fine percentage with me your one and only true friend kinda?" His anger washed away when he noticed a half drunken man urinating in a corner of the bar. Warms my heart to see people so distanced from there petty squalor. Pulling up a seat he waved a hand in front of his partially masked face. "Please continue, and remember to share with your friends now."

Laz looked at the new-comer, not too pleased with his words, but not knowing his and the gnome's relationship. He quickly sized up the man, decided it wasn't his place to talk, and looked the other way, scribeing the spell into his book, so he knew how to cast the "Energy Burst" spell. He noticed how simular it was the fireball, thought there were seveal small nuances that made it less stressful on the body. This would be alot easier in active battle.

'Wow there m'lad! You took quite a spill down that stairset!"
Gerbo chuckled a high pitched gnome laugh.
"You sure you don't have part gnome blood running through your veins? Are are you just that kind of clumsy sort!"
