Ruby glanced back to AC, "we're waitin' on you, sugar, you gonna tell us about Ora or not?"

A.C. smiled. Maybe they're not as clueless as I thought. Fine, I'll tell Ruby, too. "I'm a spy." Is this other guy really Merlin? THE Merlin, or some other guy with the same name? "She was hiding in an alley between the meat shop and here, disguised as an old woman. She said something to the frog, let it loose, and after it slipped into the cage and ate one of the real ones you'd bought she cackled and slipped away. I followed until her illusion changed and she chatted with someone who could see through it to the real her.

"Actually, I'm surprised all it did was bite you. Might want to find out exactly what it did else, is my suggestion."

"Figured that somethin' was off. So I s'pose that means you're with the folks wantin' to kill or enslave the lot of us." She let out a soft sigh. "I don't know if the frog had enough time to do much more 'fore it was caught, an' considerin' me an' my angel's room was searched over an' otherwise all right, things should be good now. As for me, Arch'll keep an eye on me, to make sure there was nothin' more to the spell. Right feathers?" She asked, giving him a backward glance and a wink. "Won't have trouble keepin' your eyes on me at all."

She turned back to AC, trying to juggle between an attitude of playfulness and seriousness, as was typical of her. "So why'd you fess up?"

Silent Lucidity continued to follow behind Herbasis and Ghost, cloaked in her Stealth power.

"I tried" is the only thing Ghost could think to say as he limps along behind the Atlantean.

"Maybe we ain't appearin' as scary as we should be." Ruby glanced at Arch, "I mean, if she ain't afraid to admit spyin' an everythin'....." She let out a mock sigh. "I suppose we'll have to put some heads out on pikes in the front yard, make ourselves look a bit more intimidatin."

"Funny that you should pick Sarah..." A.C. gave Merlin a look that clearly said I see what you're doing, and don't even THINK about it.

To Ruby and Arch, she grinned again. "That would be hilarious. But do you have any spare heads and spikes? Although I have to tell you, you actually appear much more fierce from the outside than in here. Anyway, I go by A.C. Only name I've gone by, ever, so don't bother trying to connect me to famous characters or whatnot. Why I'm here? You'll probably never know." She shrugged. "But yes, I will spy, because that's my job, and no, no angry employers. Stupid, maybe," she added after a thought, "but not angry. And, being human, I think you can guess who that other employer is."

Sarah. She picked SARAH.

((Despite the real-time action here being after the poison, A.C. has not yet encountered it. She will, of course, disappear here real soon so people can get on with the being attacked and she can get on with dying.))
