Her words surprised Roran. But it told him everything he had ever wanted to know. She slept well in his arms last night. She trusts me. That sentence she gave him, it reassured him that he had her trust. "Well, I slept very well after you awoke last night. For one, this bed is much more comfortable than a chair, and two, you were in my arms. What more could a guy like me want?" He knew deep down there was one thing he wanted more than this, but he had a feeling that he had it.
"And to make things better, I wake to find you still in my arms. That fact alone made my day." His hand that was being held changed positions so that their hands were holding each others. "But of course, I shouldn't take all the credit for your peaceful sleep. Your helper over there, oh what was her name? Kaname! Yes, Kaname over there practically stood guard to make sure we had a peaceful time. She has to take some of the credit."
Bringing his other hand up, he gently ran it through her hair. "Though it seems to almost be mid-day. You should probably get some of your work done. It would be a shame to have me to blame for a day's progression to come to a halt." Leaning in, his lips met hers in another soft kiss. He couldn't seem to stop stealing them from her, he just enjoyed the feeling. "I love you," he whispered, not blushing anymore.
Getting out of bed, he was still in his shirt and pants. Putting his jacket on, he grabbed his boots. Heading for the door, he placed a hand on Kaname's shoulder, "Thank you, you were a big help to your Queen and I last night. I owe you a lot." Turning back to Amaya, he smiled. "I'll see you later." Winking to her, he walked out of Amaya's room and into his own.
Taking his clothes off, he replaced them now. What he put on was identical pant, for they were like jeans to him, and he replaced his shirt with a red one that matched his jacket. Placing the jacket back on, he took his clothes outside, washed them, then hung them up to dry. Nodding to himself for a job well done, he headed for the stables. Syrva wasn't used to being locked up for so long.
As he entered, the horse nearly burst out of its pen. Roran smiled, at the horse's reaction, and calmed her down. "Okay girl, I see you are happy to see me." Leading her out of the stables, he walked her around the forest. "You know, Amaya is a nice woman." Syrva seemed to snort, but Roran could tell she didn't dislike Amaya as much as before. "She is scared of thunderstorms, and last night's was a big one." The rain still hadn't subsided, and he was getting wet, but his clothes were inside, the ones he had washed, and so he knew he had something to at least change into. "So, to comfort her, I stayed in her room last night. She fell asleep, but woke a few hours in from some loud thunder. So I got her back into bed and then joined her." Syrva nudged his shoulder and he looked at her sternly. "You know what I mean," he smirked, lightly nudging her in return. "But anyways, last night was a good night for me." He sighed a sigh of happiness. his life was going up now, more than ever. He hoped it would stay this way.

Amaya smiled at Roran's words. She was happy that they could make each other happy with their company. She giggled at his comment about Kaname and nodded. "Kaname has been my loyal maid since we were both young. She enjoys to help me out, as well as anyone I'm close to." She said as she looked over at Kaname.
She sighed, knowing Roran was right. It was time for her to go meet with the advisors for another three hours and then discuss the kingdom's problems. She did enjoy helping her people, but the advisors always treated her like a child, and she was getting tired of being shot down everytime she opened her mouth. She heard Roran say 'I love you' though, and she smiled joy as she looked at him. "I love you too." Amaya replied as she sat up. He soon got up and went to the door, talking to Kaname briefly, who just returned his comment with a nod before he winked back at Amaya and left the room.
Kaname soon walked over, grinning at Amaya, but not saying a word. "We didn't do anything! You know I hate thunder storms!" The embarassed queen protested. Kaname just nodded and then helped Amaya get dressed in an elegant, red gown and then sent her off to see the advisors.
As soon as the queen sat down in her chair, the advisors began shouting their concerns to her. "If I may- Could you just stop talking- Please- Wait-" Amaya said quietly, though she just kept getting interuppeted. She sighed closing her eyes for a few seconds, retreating into her mind. She was thinking about one rainy day, much like this one, that she had spent with her father. 'Remember Amaya, if you are to be the queen of Keros one day, you must be brave, and speak up for yourself. Your advisors and subjects will belittle you until you show them that you are in control and you demand respect.' Her father had told her, and those words ran in her head.
Opening her eyes once more, she glared at them all as she stood up, smacking her hand on the table. "QUIET!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, and the room fell silent. "I rule this Kingdom! You will present your issues to me one at a time without inturruptions! You will be quiet until I say so! And you will shut up so I can tell you how I feel about your concerns! I am tired of the lack of organization and this is not how I will run my kingdom!" She said in a strong voice, glaring all of them down. They nodded and the meeting went for a couple of hours before it was finally over. Sighing, Amaya walked down the corridors. She had missed dinner, but she might be able to go to the kitchen and get something, so she headed that way silently, her stomach growling in hunger.
After grabbing something to eat, Amaya went out to the stables and found Crow to spend some time with her beloved horse before she went out into the village to check on her people. There was a group doing the funeral dance again, but Amaya shook her head as she went in the middle, spreading out her arms and spinning rapidly as she danced through the crowd of people, whi had all stopped to watch. It was a very complicated dance to her people. It was fast and if the moves were not hit with exact percision, you could end up seriously injured. Only women knew this dance, and if they did, most were too old to do it anymore. But about three other girls in the crowd knew it, and they joined in as the people stepped back. It showed the beauty and grace that every woman possessed, as well as their armies' agility. The girls would be there one minute, and be gone the next, reappearing in another place, just at the warriors were trained to do.

Vivian made her way down to the stables, wanting to see Delene. The black beauty neighed, her hooves 'kicking' the air and scaring one of the stable boys. Laughing softly, she moved faster, soon at her friends side. Stroking Delene's neck and muzzle, she touched her forehead to her horses. "I know girl...I'm sorry for scaring you so yesterday. I was scared too in all honesty. But my 'kidnapper' was in pain and couldn't function right anymore." Leaning close to Delene's ear, she whispered the whole story to her, stepping back as Delene turned her gaze to the black hawk on Vivian's shoulder. Snorting, she examined Christoph, finally whinnying in approval. Grinning, Vivian hugged her, though her arms barely went all the way around Delene's neck. Sliding up onto her back, she was riding without a saddle or briddle, she didn't honestly need them. Delene left the stable at a walking pace per-say, Vivian assuring the guards that she wouldn't wander far or go into town, that she would stay in the castles vicinity.
Sighing, she watched Christoph enjoy his gift of flight, hearing his joyful screech. Seeing a guard aiming to fire his crossbow, she galloped over to him and kicked him sharply in the shoulder, knocking him over. "You are never to shoot at that bird or harm it, understand me?! No one, I repeat, no one is allowed to harm that bird. If they do, they answer to me, and be warned, I will not be kind or merciful to anyone who harms him." She snapped, shocking the guard, but he understood and went back into the castle to spread the word.

After the dance ended, the people clapped for their queen and the other three girls as they smiled. That dance was exhausting, but it was very fun to do. A little girl from the crowd ran up and tugged on Amaya's dress as she looked up at her shyly, giggling a little. Unable to stand the child's cuteness, Amaya picked the girl up and spun around a few times with the child in her arms as the girl sqweeled with joy. Amaya put the girl back down, who ran back to her mother giggling, recieving many smiles from her people. They hadn't seen her this happy since before her mother died, and even though her father's death shouldn't be happy, she seemed to be coping, know he was no longer suffering. The people eventually dispersed as it began to pour rain once more, and Amaya calmly headed back to the castle, in no giant hurry, since there was no thunder or lightning yet.

Roran and Syrva had talked for at least two hours. After so long though, Roran could tell Syrva was getting tired, so he took his friend back to the stables. Heading into the town, he caught a crowd watching some dancers. Keeping his distance, he saw Amaya dancing with three other women. Smiling, he watched in amazment. Apparentyl, Keros had some custom dances as well.
When the dance ended, he clapped along with everyone else. Cheering, he followed Amaya at a distance. After a few minutes, once she was getting close to the castle, he picked up his pace. "Excuse me! Milady? Queen Amaryllis?!?" He called to her like a townsperson. "I saw you dance and wanted to meet you in person! I might be your biggest fan!"

Amaya turned to meet this fan on hers as she smiled and then saw it was Roran. She laughed happily and then ran over to Roran, hugging him. "Hello! I thought you were out with Syrva!" She eclaimed.

"I think she got tired of me, she seemed bored. So I took her back to the stables. If thoday was a little nicer," he looked to the sky, the rain still coming down, "maybe I would have ridden her out, but I know it isn't smart to make a horse run in the rain. If they slipped they could injure themselves and be useless. Especially since a horse never lays down unless mortally wounded or ill, or a female is pregnant. And I know Syrva isn't pregnant." He chuckled slightly, beggining to walk, his arm around her waist.
Seeing she was in a good mood, he didn't want to dampen it by asking about his poisoner, and the prgress. "So, besides that wonderful dance that I witnessed, how was your day?" Finally getting under the roof of the castle, he looked at his wet clothes. It was raining all day and still is? It's almost been a whole day? What's with this weather?

"That is true, but I'm sure she always enjoys the time with you." Amaya said as she smiled. Listening to his question, she sighed a little. "My day was long. The advisors are rude and I missed dinner. But after that it was fine." She answered to his question as she smiled and looked up at him. He seemed confused about the rain, and she giggled noticing it. "It rains a lot here. That's how the forest keeps living. But we never have floods, which is an upside I guess." She told him.

Vivian was standing in the stables, chatting with Christoph and Delene, enjoying herself as she dried off. Finally dry, she headed back to the main interior castle, not really paying attention as she talked with her hawk still. Feeling one foot squeeze her shoulder a little, he saved her from walking right into her sister and Roran. Blinking, she smiled to them, quieting her hawk by stroking his feathers. "well, well, if it isn't the lovebirds. How are things? Um...I'm not interrupting, am I?" She asked quietly, teasing them a little.

"Well, of course it doesn't flood. With the roots of all these plants, I would expect it to be quite fertile. A farmer's dream," he replied to Amaya. He didn't want to sound too rude, so he kept the rest to himself.
Looking to the Princess who came up on them, he smiled. "No, of course not. We were just chit-chatting. In fact, we were going to get a bite to eat. Would you and," he nodded to the bird, "your unique friend care to join us?"

Vivian heard her stomach grumble, blushing a little. "Ah, then I am glad I wasn't interrupting. Sure, guess I forgot to eat lunch. His name is Christoph." She told him her hawks name, praying that questions wouldn't be asked, knowing it would be too hard to answer. Knowing how her sister, or sisters might react. They would want her to bring their father back.

Amaya smiled at then nodded. "You seem much better today. I'm glad." She said as she looked at her. Her eye went to the bird, it was new, and her sister was happy. She wasn't stupid. Walking up to her sister, she grabbed her sister's arm gently and pulled her towards her. "I'll give Christoph one final chance. I don't know what you did to bring him back, but if he hurts you again, his neck is being snapped and his body is being burned." She warned her sister. She wasn't going to take Christoph away from her sister, but if he did something to hurt Vivian again, Amaya would personally kill him. She walked back over to Roran, looking over her shoulder briefly to give a soft, yet warning glare to Christoph. She was like a mother to her sisters, and she did not approve of anyone hurting them or playing with their emotions.

Roran watched as Amaya talked to her sister in private. Listening to them, he knew Amaya had figured out who the bird was. Sighing, he wondered if he was this strict on his brothers. If I am, it's good for them, but if I'm not...is that why they havn't shown yet?
As Amaya returned to his side, he caressed her cheek. Whispering, he made eye contact, hoping this would emphasize what he was saying, "Hey, lighten up on her a bit. I know she means a lot to you, she means a lot to all of Keros. She loves this guy, or, eh, bird. I don't know what you saw or found in that place he took her to, but, give a little leniency." Pecking her on the lips, he let his hand fall to her shoulder, squeezing it softly. "I know you feel responsible for your sisters, but you're not their parent. You're their sister. Sister's give support, not pressure."
"Now come on," his voice returned from the whisper, "none of us have ate much today." Taking Amaya's hand, he began to walk to the kitchen.

She looked at Roran as her talked to her and just lightly shook her head. Christoph had hurt her sister in many ways, and was furious. The warning was more to Christoph, because she knew he was listening, but she was also letting Vivian know that if Christoph was killed, it was by her, and for a reason. "Even if I am their sister, I am still protective. They're the only family I have left." She whispered back to him. As they walked to the kitchen, a few guards came up stopping the group as they bowed. "Queen Amaryllis, we have found who you asked for." The captain said as he looked at Amaya. "I see. Thank you." She sighed as she nodded to him. Turning to Roran, Vivian, and Christoph, she bowed slightly. "My apoligies, but I cannot join you for dinner. I have other responsibilities to attend to, but please go on without me." She sighed as she let go of Roran's hand and then followed the guards down another hallway, her stomach growling loudly at her in protest.
She was led into a room where a man was tied to a chair with a few gaurds standing nearby. She glared in fury at this man as she walked up to him. "You are the one who poisened Roran, am I correct?" She asked as she paced around him. The man simply nodded and she stopped infront of him, her back facing him. "You may not like this marriage agreement, but it will happen. It will bring the kingdoms together and stop this war." She told him calmly as she faced him. His only reponse was a grin as he stood up. He had somehow gotten free of his ropes and he brought out a dagger. "Not if I get rid of the queen!" He yelled as he moved to stab Amaya in the heart. Quickly reacting, Amaya duck under his arm and spun around him, grabbing his arm and yanking it back towards her and twisting his wrist until there was a snapped and he cried out and dropped the dagger. The guards ran up and quickly took the man from Amaya's grasp, slitting his throat as a few more protected Amaya. With that over, Amaya now had to see her advisors to inform them that a man had just been executed.
The news didn't go over well. As soon as they heard about it, they began to flip out and everyone one was screaming. Not even trying anymore, she layed her head on the table. She wasn't even listening to the advisors anymore. She was so hungry, and her father's funeral was tomorrow. She needed to be ready for that, but she was stuck here until her advisors decided when it was time to leave. Sighing at her luck of being queen, she shook her head, just as lightning cracked in the sky. "Not again..." She moaned to herself, sitting up as thunder soon followed. The storm had started up again, and Amaya was becoming very uncomfortable. "C-Could we perhaps continue this tomorrow after the wedding?" Amaya begged the advisors, figiting in her seat. "No! We must finish dicussing the issues tonight! Stop your childish fear and pay attention!" The head advisor growled at her, quiet annoyed. Everyone in the room knew she was afraid of storms, even him, but they didn't care at this point. Three hours of this toture went by as the storm raged on, before she was finally permitted to leave.
Once the meeting was over, Amaya tore out of the room and ran down the corridors. She was terrified beyond belief and she had no idea where she was going, but it seemed she was headed to the north wing of the castle. She fell down a couple of stairways through her terror, causing a few big bruises as she ran. Finally, Amaya stopped running and just curling up in a corner, shaking and crying as the storm raged.
