Ichigo listened intently. His eyes got big when he heard how Lloyd and Genis were still frightened of an adventure they had so long ago. The child had come to the conclusion that Lloyd was never afraid of anything (other than Sheena) and was shocked to find out otherwise. "They were really that terrible? What did they do? Why?"

"It's some terrible stuff. I'm not afraid of a lot of things, Except maybe Sheena, but the things there were... terrible. Someone you just couldn't watch, but it was hard to look away."
"Lloyd, We said we were going to not talk about it." Genis said, slightly worried. "I don't like being reminded of it." He had a slight tremble in his hand, and looked to the mark where Lloyd had taken off his Keycrest, Laden with the Exsphere wheich once held Marble's Soul. "Ichigo, I'll offer you an alternative. Sheena told you what an exphere is, right?"

The boy nodded. "Uh huh. She said they made people stronger and helped your powers... but she said that I couldn't have one... and when I asked her why she said because they were really bad and hurt people or something and that she'd tell me when I was older..." Ichigo explained, not really understanding what was wrong with them and thinking that they sounded kind of cool.

"Your mom's right." Lloyd said, feeling sort of wierd for saying 'your mom' when referring to Sheena. "They do all those things, but they cause more harm then they help." He informed, a little hot with annoyance. Not at anyone, just at Exspheres in general. "Anyway, Human Ranches are Exsphere Manufacturing Plants as well." Lloyd began, confident the kid couldn't make the connection. In fact, he was quite sure - None of the team realized that right away. They all thought the Humans were making the Exspheres, Not Being the Exspheres.

"Oh..." Ichigo said, not quite getting the importance of why expheres were so horrible. "I guess the people worked really had to make them, huh? Is that why they're bad? Did the people get really tired making them? And not paid enough? I remember this one man in the bar said he wasn't paid enough... is that a big problem? I don't have to worry about that because when I grow up I get to be chief and the chief gets as much pay as he wants. Why didn't the people at the ranch get better jobs? Do you have a job, Red?"
Sheena, who was now dressed and had her hair pulled up was listening from the door way of the Inn where none of the boys could see her. Ichigo... She thought to herself If he keeps asking so many questions... he might find out things he'd rather not know... She reflected on when she first learned about the expheres and the Human Ranches. The pain she felt for those people.

Lloyd nodded a few times after Ichigo had stopped talking, looking like he wasn't listening to the boy at all. Just before Ichigo could say something he blared out, "Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Cool. They couldn't. No.... Respectively." Lloyd answered.
((Count them. They are all answers to Ichigo's questions and statements.))
"I've been living off the amount we collected from our adventure. And saving the world has it's perks. I normally don't have to pay for an inn. Especially when I paid near 2 million Gald to get this place up and running. Worth it, though, considering I got a statue of me here. And Genis's sister as well. And your mother. You've seen 'em around, though, right?" He asked. Genis was just looking at Lloyd, amazed that he had kept a hold and answered all of Ichigo's questions. They were legitimate answers, although obviously just roundabout ways of making sure he didn't relay any info Sheena might not like Ichigo knowing right then.

"Uh huh. I saw the statues." Ichigo nodded. "I'm going to do something really cool when we're on our adventure so I get a statue too. But I want a fountain around mine so people can throw coins in."
Sheena laughed quietly to herself.
"Red... if you don't have a job how do you expect anyone to want to marry you?" Ichigo said looking very serious. "In Mizuho, all the people your age have jobs. And most of them are married." He then looked down. "But not Sheena, she doesn't have a family of her own because she has to take care of me... Sheena said I'd be chief when I get older, but I heard the women of the village saying that I really shouldn't be. They said that Sheena was too stubborn to find a man and that she was lucky that my parents went on that mission or there would be no one to be her successor. But it doesn't matter what they say because Sheena-sama is in charge. Right?" He realized he had gone off on a different subject and quickly added. "But you should really get a job."

Lloyd felt a hot twinge of guilt, and it was plenty visible to Genis, who was opting to change the subject, before Lloyd said, "I'm a merc." He said, scratching his ear. "It's not much of a job, but on the side I'll take a few side jobs to kill a monster or something." He said nearly absentmindedly. Genis nodded. It made sense, since Lloyd was good with his swords.
"So why didn't you say that before?" Asked the half-elf.
Lloyd smirked, but it was still apparent his mind was somewhere else. "I usually don't take the pay. I have a lot of Gald in the Bank of Meltokio. Enough to last me a long time." Lloyd decided not to say anything about his life expectancy, which regarding his work, might be cut drastically short in one moment.

"Mercenary is a dangerous job. You should be careful, Red." Ichigo warned. And this was coming from a boy who lied in a village of assassins and ninjas. "You have to choose what jobs toy accept carefully."
Sheena stepped out of the doorway and pretended like she hadn't been standing there for the past few minutes. "What is it that Lloyd has to be careful about?"
"He said he's a mercenary." Ichigo informed her. He had a slight pout on his face, thinking about how dangerous it was.
Sheena ruffled Ichigo's hair. "Lloyd can take care of himself when it comes to that sort of thing..." She admitted. "But there are other things."
"Uh-huh," the boy nodded, "That's why Red should get married. But no ones going to marry a mercenary."
Sheena looked at Ichigo, her brows furrowing. "Ichigo, it's not your place to tell Mr. Irving what to do. He's a grown man... well, maybe not, but he's a lot older than you and you should respect your elders. Especially since he's your teacher."

"I believe I grown a lot, Sheena." Lloyd defended himself, but added, "But I also know I've got tons more left to learn, though." He said, calming down. It seemed the man clad in red had spent a long time thinking and wondering to himself about various subjects. "It's fine, though, Sheena. How is Ichigo supposed to learn about these things if he's not allowed to talk about it in the open?" To some, this may have seemed profound for Lloyd. To him, it seemed like something that was just simple logic.

"I agree that it's important for him to learn about these sorts of things... but it's also important for him to learn manners." Sheena said, sitting down at the last chair at the table. "I'm sure Dirk taught you manners, didn't he? What about those Dwarven rules or whatever?"

"Dwarven Vows." Lloyd corrected, thinking it over. "Dwarven manners are different then normal manners, actually, but Dad tried his best to modify them a bit to help me out when not in Dwarfish company. I think he did well enough." He smirked, proud of his adoptive fathers. "Well, Anyway, I've allowed him to talk freely the last few days. Sorry if that rubs off on him in normal company. It's not like I mean to."
Genis snorted. "Normally you don't mean to do a lot of things, Lloyd, You're compulsive." He smirked.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Lloyd argued, bringing back nostalgia for the whole group.

Sheena's shoulders slouched. "Your impulsiveness got us out of some messes... but it also got us in to a few. More than a few..."
"But I'm sure Lloyd got everybody out o fthe messes, right?" Ichigo said, confidently.

"Well, actually..." Lloyd began, thinking the adventure over. "Raine and Genis helped a lot when it came to a lot of robotic tangles, and Regal helped us out of the Welgaia jail, heh." He smirked, knowing that he was a far off ways from being as strong as Regal. "But mostly... Yeah, it did, thinking it over. Except the time where it mattered most. Kratos got everyone out of that jam." He smiled. "Otherwise These two wouldn't be here today." He stopped to think. "And maybe myself and the world wouldn't be either." He had to admit.
((He's talking about the traps in the Tower of Salvation Basement.))
