Nori was surprised that Craig walked over and introduced himself so freely. He had a broom in his hand, like usual, so he switched it to his left to grab Craig's. Accepting Craigs greeting, he smiled and replied. " I'm Nori Blauvelt. Obliged." Looking at his face, Nori was surprised to see such a person in the mafia group. " You are Ky's boyfriend?"

Lily was outside on the roof top of the mansion having already showered. She hadn't a chance to help out Nori in any way some weeks back so she gave him some space and did the same for Kyrin. However, she didn't lounge around during those weeks Lily went back to her beat and pretty soon had a good hoard of stuff. Selecting the best she put them in a backpack that was surprisingly well taken cared of and went down the usual way. Knocking on the door to the mansion she tired the door and found it open Lily walked in and saw Izzy standing with a long blonde haired guy. Switching the backpack to hold in her hand she looked at Kyrin and saw this was a man she completely accepted in her mansion.

James made his way downstairs, pulling a nondescript black hooded jacket over his slender shoulders. The weather was a little chill for his taste, and he didn't want to stand out much. He glanced and Kyrin and Craig and turned away quickly, not even beginning to look behind Craig at the newcomer that had been mentioned. He didn't care to know, or to ask. He had been quiet around everyone recently, but that wasn't at all surprising. What was, however, that this sullen demeanor had extended even as far as Nori and Kyrin, the two that he was almost friends with. He disappeared into another room of the mansion, towards the kitchen, presumably looking for the coffee he downed every morning as though it contained the elixer of life.

Over the last few weeks Draven simply avoided everyone, especially Kyrin whom he was still feeling hurt about. To avoid the pain Draven took back to his training, everyday he would be in the back of the mansion, outside slamming his fist into a tree. At the end of each day, he was in far too much pain to think about anything. On the fifth day, Draven went into town and came back a few hours’ later dirt poor but quite pleased with himself. He had bought a weighted suit. In total he averaged it out be weigh about two hundred and fifty pounds. There were also area’s that could be filled with sand or water to add to the weight. His training got more vigorous from there, running laps around the lower city for most of the morning, then going back to the tree.
By the end of the few weeks, Draven was in fairly good shape and could move without hindrance of the suit. Albeit his movements were slowed due to it’s bulk. He seemed even less happy than when he first started and even stopped greeting people when they greeted him, except Nori. Draven had a soft spot for the man and couldn’t find it to be mean to someone who was probably used to getting mistreated. The poor tree Draven had let his anger out on, didn’t fare as well. It’s bark had been torn off and some substantial damage had been done to the hardwood underneath, although the tree wouldn’t die, it certainly didn’t look healthy anymore.

Craig laughed wholeheartedly at what Nori had said and replied, "Something like that." He then turned to Ky, and wrapped his arm around her waist. "Have you gotten better about letting people in since I left then?"
Kyrin lowered her eyes and said, "I guess so." Not really the I guess so that meant 'yes', but the one that meant she didn't really know. As Craig put his arm around her, Kyrin felt a pang of guilt. She had done something while he was away that she knew would hurt him if he ever found out. Trying to push the thoughts out of her head, she toyed with the necklace in her hands, "How was your trip?"
Craig simply said one word, "Fine." Which meant that it didn't really go as planned. Craig looked around and said, "Is there anyone else here that I haven't met?" He really wanted to know who Kyrin let in while he was gone.

Lily shrugging had picked up the habit of going to the ballroom and emptying her loot there. Solid gold items, silver items, crystals, junk, usefuls, and all sorts of odds and ends. Lily arranged to at least look decorative then went back out to pick up the rest that she had gotten and began cleaning them off with the meticulous(sp?) eye of a jewelry. Heaving the things she would keep for herself across her shoulders. Lily then ascended to the roof of the mansion and stored them in her roost. That done she took up a staff she had found and then went back down to the ground and reentered the mansion. She had rigged a sheath so that the staff hung across her back to leave her hands free to use. She went over to the fridge and got a chuck of bread and some water to eat it with. Seeing James she nodded and went and sat down, her mood was polite and her manner relaxed if a little bored.

A young, dark haired man stood behind Craig. The visitor that had been mentioned to Kyrin. A bit bored out of his mind with all the talking, he absentmindedly twisted a strand of white hair between his fingers. Glancing here and there around the mansion, he was beginning to become impatient. He only had followed that blonde guy because he said that a certain someone would be here. So...where was he? Darn it. "How annoying..." Ian muttered.
Looking up at the stairs of the mansion, he got a glimpse of pure eye blue eyes. "J-Jamie..." Ian whispered. All the emotions that he had stored up inside after a whole year came pouring out. He felt like crying and punching Jamie's pretty face out all at once. Pushing everyone that got in his way, he ran toward the room that he had last seen the brown haired man go into. He'd finally found him.

James poured another cup of coffee and leaned aganst the counter. He looked down deep into the blackness of the drink, avoiding Ian's gaze like nothing else, pretending he didn't see him, or pretending he didn't care. Either was fine with him. He took a long drink of his addiction, closing his eyes to the world, and trying to think that nothing mattered. His whole body felt numb, his eyes watered. You aren't there, you aren't there. You can't be there. You don't know... You don't know where... No. He trembled a little, and drank more coffee, trying to will it away.

Ian found Jamie leaning againist the counter and stopped to stand in front of him. "Jamie! You...You...ah..." Ian felt all his rehearsed words and lectures that he had practiced saying over and over to Jamie when he found him disapear into thin air. Ian could do nothing but stand there. He felt his vision blurring with hot tears. But...he promised himself that he wouldn't cry.

"I love you." James whispered, under his breath, unintelligible. Droplets of tears dripped into black coffee, and he set the mug down on the counter and wrapped skinny arms around himself, buried in the black jacket he wore. Still, he couldn't bring himself to look at the man who had taken five years of his life and walked all over them as they had meant nothing. He had almost conviced himself that Ian had been right, that they were nothing. Almost, until the man stood in front of him and faltered for words.

Ian could only look pathetically at Jamie and wipe away some of the tears that had escaped from his eyes when he had blinked. Why was Jamie ignoring him? Anger quickly replaced sadness as Ian watched Jamie's reaction or more like, lack there of. Hadn't he missed him? Jamie hadn't seen him in nearly a year and now he wouldn't even look at him. Finally managing to make his voice sqeak by the lump in his throat, Ian slowly started the first of his questions, "Jamie. Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere for you..."

James lost all hope at that. His shoulders shook uncontrollably, taking his whole body with them, and he delved further into his oversized jacket, closing his eyes against the hard onset of tears. He sunk to the ground, his coffee ignored, and buried his face against the tops of knees drawn to his chest. He couldn't speak to him. I'm not here I'm not oh God please just let him not see me let him forget I'm here please... His mind chanted against all proper knowledge, the way it had when he was small.

Ian felt a searing pain go through his chest as he watched Jamie. As fast as it came, Ian's anger faded. Fighting againist the need to run by Jamie's side and hold him close like had done all the years before now, Ian stood his ground and bit his lip hard. Ian closed his eyes, partially to block out Jamie's defenseless form and also to calm himself down. We're not the same. We're not the same as we used to be. He hurt you. He betrayed your feelings...your trust...You DON'T love him anymore. You don't... Clearing his throat he tried again, "I asked you a question. Jamie. Look at me...please.."

James yanked himself to his feet, bracing against the countertop, and took deep breaths. The tears had stopped, but his whole body still shook. He couldn't look at him. There was no possible way he would be able to find the words. He wiped the remnants of tears from his face and turned to leave, not once having even awknowledged the existance of his former lover.

Ian watched Jamie leave in shock. Had he just been ignored? The anger easily came back and in impulse, Ian ran and grabbed Jamie's wrist. He wasn't letting him go...Not this time...Not anymore. "Jamie! Look at me! Please!!!" Ian didn't care if he sounded desperate but all he wanted was to at least see Jamie's ice blue eyes again.
