'Yeah, but...it's you. You've been here since this place opened. Doesn't matter what the facility is, it just wouldn't be the same in G CORP without Captain MK in charge,' Nalini replied. She mumbled something else under her breath, glanced awkwardly down at her hands which were twisting in her lap, pale cheeks tinged with a hint of pink.

Damn it, she thought, half hoping that her mumbled words had gone unnoticed.
'I also said that...what also makes you special is that...' she hesitated, feeling awkward, and looked into his eyes, 'I, uh...I love you...'
In spite of herself, the faint pink in her face turned darker.

She kissed him back, and held him tightly. When she pulled away from him a minute later, she rubbed one eye and glanced at him again.
'...Guess we ought to actually go to sleep now, don't you think?'

She lay back, and rested close to him, placing a hand on his chest.

'Nothing's going to happen - I'm sure of it,' the vampire replied, kissing MK on the cheek. 'You sleep well, too.'
She closed her eyes, and began to drift off.

*MK woke up, and carefully got out of bed, cautious not to wake Nalini. After getting dressed, he lay a white rose beside her, and ported out*

*The Captain ported in to the lab, and was surprised a little to see Nalini still laying there, and the rose still beside her. Slipping off his boots and jacket, he walked over to the bed, removed the rose, and settled in with Nalini. He gave her a kiss on the cheek, and started to drift off*

Nalini stirred and began to awaken. She sat up with a stretch and a yawn, and smiled when she saw the Captain's slumbering form beside her.
Clambering out of the bed, she reached for her boots and coat, pulled them on, and phased towards the Main Level.

There was a flash of blue light as Nalini ported into the laboratory. She saw the Captain still out cold, and shed her boots and coat, before clambering back in next to him.
She planted a kiss upon his lips, stroked his hair, and cuddled up next to him, one hand resting on his stomach. It only took a few short minutes before she too had fallen asleep.

Nalini blinked a few times, and sat up, stretching. She glanced over at MK, saw that he was still fast asleep, and shook her head.
'And I thought I was a heavy sleeper,' she muttered.
She tugged on her boots and coat again, and ported to the Main Level.
