"This is it."
Haru bit down on her lower lip as she concentrated on each new image she could see. Ganjou's voice was reassuring to her and the chakra also helped her relax. She breathed slowly and deeply as she allowed the Kurogan to expand, filling her mind with more visual information than she ever thought possible. It was a strain, but she knew she could get through it. She felt blessed to have such a gift. With one final burst of effort, the fully formed Kurogan eclipsed her irises.
"I-- I did it. Look, look! I actually did it!" Haru exclaimed, beaming with excitement.

Ganjou smirked at her. "Very good, Haru. Now the first stage is complete, and it will be very easy for you to activate from now on. Now, I want you to deactivate the Kurogan and go get some rest. Then when you feel up to it, I want you to come back here with a book, one with a lot of print and no pictures. Understand?"

Haru was extremely pleased with herself, which didn't happen often as she set high standards. It was a relief to deactivate the Kurogan.
"Aww, okay."
She smiled up at her uncle and headed back to her apartment. Though she would rather be practicing new fighting techniques than reading, she was willing to do whatever it took.

Haru saw Ganjou waiting for her and ran to greet him.
"Did you miss me? Here's a book just like you said. I am so ready for this. How long before I can activate stage two?"
Though half of her face was hidden behind her scarf, Haru could never hide her emotions. She always made it blatantly clear what she was thinking and feeling, whether anyone wanted to know or not.

"Once step at a time, Haru." He said taking the book from her. He then ripped all of the pages from the book at once, letting the book cover fall to the ground. He then ripped each page into bits, holding the massive pile in his arms. "Activate your Kurogan." "And don't worry, we'll repair it."

Gabriel stepped out of the trees walking twards his kage and bows "sir if you could spare a moment, we have somthing to discuss." Still bowing Gabriel looks up at his leader

Gabriel looks over at the girl "im not sure this is a conversations suitible for someone her age but, it's about the amekage. He is missing from the rain village. I would like, with your permission, to keep a closer eye on those entering and leaving the mist. At least until all this has blown over." Gabriel stands.

Ganjou thought it over for a moment. "Very well. I want you to oversee security for now. You will report to Same if anything is amiss. But, an Oto Jounin has requested use of our forest to train some of his Genin. I believe their names were Soren and Doren. Once they arrive, allow them in. But keep tabs on them just in case."

"That was weird. I wonder what it all means."
Haru decided not to ask him about it and tried to focus on her training. She cleared her mind and took a deep breath, feeling the chakra flow through her body and directing it to her eyes.
"Kurogan!" With a sudden surge, her irises turned black. She was surprised at how much easier it came this time. It even surprised herself how far she had come in so little time. Only a few years ago, it was doubted she would ever fully recover. Looking back, it was the traumatic experience that had made her stronger.

Ganjou nodded and looked back at his niece. Clearing his throat, he motioned her to look at him. "Alright, focus." He said as he threw the heap of scraps into the air. "Focus on the scraps, and try to pick out words. Put them together in your mind." This was his way of teaching some one to master the Kurogan. First it was mastering the precision of focusing on thousands of images, and then mastering the vision of the light spectrum, and then using those two components to master their fighting style.

It seemed like a daunting task at first, but once she got started, Haru found that it wasn't difficult at all. She studied the cloud of scraps and scanned as many as she could before they floated to the ground.
"All right! Now if my opponent throws confetti at me, I'll be able to read it!" Haru said wryly. She was aware, however, that of all the weird and eccentric things her uncle did, there was always a logical reason behind it. He wasn't the Mizukage for nothing.
