Kei stopped and turned slightly with a mild paniced look. She said the only thing that she could get away with. "My mom... long story... gotta go..." She coninued on her way to the door, almost there.

Kisoku stared at her for a moment. "You walk out that door and I'll send the staff after you. I'll even get the kage in on it if I have to." He stared coolly after her, calling her ten different sort of idiot in his head to reign in his temper. "You stay here for tonight- any symptoms you have after ingesting poison almost always show up within twelve hours. The others are usually within twenty-four, and any others beyond that are either fatal or not worth the time. Rattlers are in between the first two."

Kei stopped again and shuddered... she had to get out and soon... what if they contacted her mother... she'd be in so much trouble... not to mention this jerk would know she lives on the streets... then he'll keep her here for even longer... Deciding to do a really stupid thing for once she opened the door and ran for it...

Kisoku heaved a sigh, then moved to follow through with his threat. He pulled aside one of the nurses and asked her to please send out a team of ninja to collect her, stating that she had eating and had a slight (he emphasized slight) chance of becoming seriously ill. None of the nurses thought he was a worrywart- especially since he had learned it was better to be safer than sorry. If worrying did that and saved lives...well, he could put up with a couple stabs at his ego. He then left to wait for her to return or for the day to pass and let him go home.

Kei had gotten out of sight of the hospital and hid herself. If she was found... she'd be doomed... especially if it was by him. If it was by someone else... perhaps she could nagotiate... like she goes back in without him knowing... and that her mother isn't told... she supposed she'd be fine with that... but better yet... she hope they wouldn't get her... she'd be fine by herself... and if she did die... it would be better for those who knew her...

Reck stayed at the hospiyal for afew hours as they stopped his bleeding and bandaged his side and eye to let it heal properly. Afew minutes after that, he left the hospital ignoring the doctors orders and went out to see if he could find Kei again. "Yo doc, gotta go!!"

Kei ran up the sidewalk to meet Kisoku. He was getting off early today and she made it a point to see him somewhere other than in his office. Alright we turn here and go down here... and here it is. She opened the door to his office with five minute to spare. "I'm early... what do you need to finish up... I can help you get done faster..."

Kisoku looked up with a scowl. He had been working with a certain poison yet unidentified, but so far he had discovered (as his bandaged hand could attest) that it was incredibly acidic. Had he not been near a lot of water and had access to more aloe than anyone would ever need, he would've been lacking a hand.
It was a very good thing he worked in a hospital.
Carefully setting down the vial he had been working with, he walked over to her. "Bottle the rest of the viper venom from those bottles," he pointed to two of them roughly six inches in height, "into those vials," he pointed to the stash of glass tubes, each only an inch or so in height. "And next time, when the sign says 'Do not disturb', finish reading it."
He narrowed his eyes, his hand having put him in a bad mood, and returned to his work. He really needed to find an antidote- not knowing any long-term effects, Kisoku wondered what would happen. Until he found out, however, Kei didn't need to know or worry.

Kei, still slightly intimidated by him, did as she was told. She was very careful with these viles, making sure not to drop them like previous experiences. With care she drained the viles into the others and put stoppers on them. Every now and then she stole a glance at him, she couldn't help but wonder what happened to his hand. She didn't want to ask...

Reck heard from someone that Kei was at the hospital while walking around town. He walked over to the hospital and went through the front door and started to walk around looking for Kei hoping to surprise her.

Kisoku finished working with his unidentified substance and put it in with the other highly dangerous poisons, venoms and acids. He had recently expanded his growing collection to include the destructive acids of nature. It was rather interesting to research, either way, so....
Sighing, Kisoku knew he ought to apologize to Kei. She didn't deserve his temper, even if he was having a bad day. But apologies really weren't his strong suit....
Walking over silently, he helped her to finish bottling the rest of the venom as a silent apology. He tried to work up the courage (for lack of a better term) to say he was sorry but....
His posture, he was sure, was giving away is dilemma. Ever since he had started to go out with her, she was reading him better and better. It was, all at once, disconcerting and heart-warming. Not that he'd ever admit either.
He was giving himself a headache....

Kei let him finish off the last bottle of venom and gently put a hand on his back. She knew his quick temper better than anyone and was easy to forgive. "So... are you feeling up to anything or do you just want to relax tonight after all your work?" She watched his body language and smiled in her own head. He would quickly deny it if she was right about how he was currently feeling.

Kisoku shook his head. "If you want to go somewhere, I'm up for it," he admitted grudgingly. Rubbing his forehead with his good hand, he turned around and leaned on the counter. "Is there something you want to do?" He still hadn't quite gotten her way of thinking just yet, but he was sure he'd get there soon. Eventually.

Kei put her hand behind her neck. "No I wasn't really sure, I was just putting it up for options.... if you had another thing you wanted to do... I really dont mind." Kei straightened slightly, she felt a very familiar aura... "One sec..." Turning towards the door she went over and peered through the window. No one in sight, but she was sure someone was there. Squeezing through, sure to make no sound at all, she entered the hall and used her chakra to edge up the walls and onto the cieling. On hands and knees she crawled across, still silent as ever, and looked around the corner. There waiting was none other than her big brother who had returned. Crawling even further around, she dropped silently behind him. "Boo..."
