Ebonywhiskers saw Moonheart looking at him from the corner of her eyes, and after waiting for her to pad back into her den before following her in, and wispering,"I saw Skystar's mother, she told me to tell Mothpelt that she had nothing to fear and that she will make it to Starclan, and never to fear that. I don't know why though, she should have died in the mud slide, do you think that she could have survived the slide? And that she might be living somewhere else? I just don't know Moonheart. There is so much going on, like the kits, Tornstar's loss, and now this... I just don't know." He looked into the wise Medicine Cat's eyes, looking for comfort, but seeing her strong gaze and mistaking it for anger, he backed out and quickly swept his tail at a couple apprentices and warriors to signal a partol. He then threw himself into his duities, and began to run out on a patrol when he heard a yowl rise up.

Miss Tufty Tail Starwhisker swallowed the last bit of the pigeon and mewed "They are doing good. Doesn't Blackkit look a lot like her father?"

Skystar was truly relieved to be back. He drank in all the familiar sights and sounds of the camp. The smiling eyes of all the other cats around him. He sighed contentedly. Then a pang in his belly reminded him that one particular cat was not among those greeting him. Rainfoot! Skystar bowed his head and dismissed himslef from the cats who were greating him. "I must go now." he mewed. The cats nodded and padded away. He quckly bounded over to the make-shift nursery where Rainfoot was lying. She stirred when he approached and his spirits soared. He ran over and immediatly started grooming her. She let out a soft mrrow of amusement. "Skystar!" she mewed happily. He could not contain himself, the sight of her beautiful fur and her smiling eyes. He moved his attention to her flank, it was healing nicely. A purr grew from deep within his chest, all his love and compassion for Rainfoot, erupting from his throat in a deep rumble.
The hairs on Rainfoot's pelt vibrated as Skystar pushed his muzzle deep into her pelt. She licked him respectfully on the shoulder. "IM glad you're back." she mewed. She tapped his flank with her tail to tell him that she wanted to tell him something important.

Miss Tufty Tail After Patchleaf finished her mouse Starwhisker started to groom her friend's fur. She looked up as the new Clan leader rushed in to see Rainfoot who was resting on the other side of the nursery. "Welcome back Skystar!" she mewed. She gently pushed Blackkit who was straying away over to Skystar back to her. ((Welcome back Qutefoxie!!!))

After Patchleaf finished her mouse Starwhisker started to groom her friend's fur.
She looked up as the new Clan leader rushed in to see Rainfoot who was resting on the other side of the nursery.
"Welcome back Skystar!" she mewed.
She gently pushed Blackkit who was straying away over to Skystar back to her.

Skystar mewed a greeting to Starwhisker and nosed Blackkit gently twords his mother. He turned back to Rainfoot. THere is something different about her today...
Rainfoot gingerly shifted herself. "Well," she began "I have something to tell you Skystar. I'd like you to know as well Starwhisker." SHe paused and took a deep breath, "Im expecting kits!" she mewed. She felt warmth surround her pelt as she told the two cats. She purred as Skystar wobbled slightly on his paws and slowly sank down onto the ground. She licked his ear and sent a silent prayer of thanks to Starclan.

It came from the nersury, and Ebonywhiskers only thoughts were on Starwhisker and the kits. Racing in with his claws unsheathed he ran up to his mate, not noticing Skystar and Rainfoot, even as he lept over them,"Starwhisker, are you alright? What is going on? Did someone try to hurt the kits? Why are you laughing at me?" When he saw his mate chukling, he stopped and looked to actually see Skystar and Rainfoot, when he realized why the she-cat hadn't left the nersury, he looked down sheepishly..."Oh."

Rainfoots pelt glowed and she felt a soft warmth deep within her belly. She returned Skystar's grooming. Her overwhealming happieness temporarily shrouded her fears. Her life was coushioned by Skystar's love. All her worries about the kitting and raising her family were drowned in the sweet swirling warmth of all his compassion. For now she gave in to the warmth and scent of her mate's love.
