While I was sleeping, he buttered me up with apple butter, slid me in between two huge slices of bread and when I woke up, he tried to assure me that it was good for my skin.

It is! Plus I only was using the bread to keep the sheets clean until I was done licking it off. wink
Did not like my, admittedly eccentric, variations on tongue baths.

Would demonstrate his variations on the Winter games on our neighborhood streets. In the summer. Wearing only moth-eaten rubber ducky boxers, aviation goggles from the '40s, and that always embarassing zinc-oxide white cream on his nose.

Kept insisting that 'by the skin of your teeth' had to be grounded in some sort of reason and set about performing experiments on my teeth - many in public - to see of he could determine how exactly that saying would work.
