Ok so, um...wtf? xd
I knew our tv wasn't great quality and didn't get the best reception, but man....maybe I'll be hitting Nabs up for episodes again. sweatdrop crying Hiro and I spent most of the time just listening because the picture was so dark. We tried adjusting the settings, but we could only really make it worse than it already was.
But yeah, Kensei is white?! And his Japanese kind of isn't great either. Hiro's dad's Japanese got way better, but it doesn't look like he'll be coming back anytime soon. I couldn't see what Maya's ability was because the screen was waaay too dark. I assume she killed those guys though, right? Accidentally, anyway.
And the guy hitting on Claire is way too nosy and not secretive enough. Doesn't he know he'll get caught if he gives himself away? talk2hand

Yeah, Maya killed them. They were all slumped dead with blood leaking from their eyes. The scene was pretty dark anyway, so I can imagine how blotted it'd look with a dark picture. sweatdrop
Robot-Alien boy is like a less charming/more annoying version of Claire's friend from last season. I liked the old guy. This guy's just pushy and seems too full of himself. I'm not sure, but I suspect company spy-ness of him.
Claire is love. Poor Claire-bear.
Claire-daddy is awesomesauce. I want him to be my daddy.
And is it just me or did anybody else think Parkman should've learned a little more from his whole getting-shot-the-hell-up experience instead of still being all, "S'cool, I'll just go shoot the big bad guy. Lawl." Silly Parkman. I love him, but he's a thick one.

Lawl." Silly Parkman. I love him, but he's a thick one. Oh believe me, we could not see a thing in that scene aside from the subtitles. xd I'm glad I figured out what was going on though. Not that it was too hard to begin with... New boy is obnoxious, although in my little fantasy land, he would be that way because he's a bit of an outcast and no one really pays attention to him, including his family. So he pulls stunts/is annoying to get their attention somehow, and that's what he's doing with Claire. She's the potential pay-attentioner, so he's giving it all he's got. He has a good heart...is just neglected. Desperate to feel wanted and needed and fit-in, despite his obvious distaste of "robots" who all behave the same. I dunno... But I don't write their material, so of course he's the cookie-cutter new love interest. Who is much too quickly interested in Claire. I suspect him a bit too... Dad is risking his new identity too! Seriously...working at a copy/paper place when you were a former "paper" company employee. Like that's not hard to track down... rolleyes And as much of an a*****e that superior guy was, why risk your new life just to put him in his place? Why not just find a new job? ((Also, changing last names but not first names too?! You're on the run from a crazy company that wants you dead!! Claire is THE Claire. If they really want her, they'll check every Claire there is until they find her! xd )) It doesn't sound like it, but other than that I am still loving Claire-daddy. I'm just over critical... :XP: Completely off-topic now...So there are a lot of, err, "interesting" people in Chico that often talk to themselves, and until today I hadn't had really any contact or experience with them. However, this morning while riding my bike to school I passed a man who was walking on the sidewalk, and as I passed he yelled something at me that sounded like "Claire-bear!", cackled out loud and kept walking. I was a bit surprised. I'm not sure if that's exactly what he said but...anyway, it was strange. sweatdrop rofl

Now that I've caught up and seen all of season 1, there really is alot in there that looks like it was gleaned or at least inspired by classic comic books. Linderman's plot with the bomb is extremely similar to the conspiracy in The Watchmen, and Hiro in the Future was almost certainly inspired by the X-Men arc Days of Future Past. Not that it detracted from the awesome one bit.
I just have to re-iterate that The Company Man is probably the single greatest television episode of all time that totally sold Noah Bennet as not a misunderstood hero, but someone who struggles with true moral ambiguity in ways far more compelling and real than the deluge of s**t we saw in 90s comics. That, and Claire coming out of the house after disabling Ted.
Also I did some thinking and thought it'd be fun so see what Heroes characters are similar to superheroes:
Linderman = Ozymandius (The Watchmen) Ted Sprague = Xorn (X-Men) Noah Bennet = Batman The Invisible Man = John Constantine Claire Bennet = Shadowcat Candice = Lady Mastermind Jessica = Mystique Sylar = Mr. Sinister Mohinder = Moira McTaggert
That's all for now. whee

Oooh, I don't know much about comics, but it's always interesting to see parallels drawn between things. 3nodding On that note...Spider, have you read the Heroes comics that go along with the series yet? There's a lot of story in there that wasn't shown in the show. They can be found here in case you haven't found them yet.

Kinetic Dream HEY GUYS! PETER'S THE NEW BAD GUY FOR THIS SEASON LOL! ITT, we make wild speculations xd I guess I was wrong about Kenzo being Hiro's father, but that's all right. So far we've got someone who ruptures brains (probably through sonic screeches), a guy that can turn metal to gold, another "FLYING MAN!", an unidentified villian. I like this season. whee I find it amusing that they're making it so glaringly obvious that Hiro is Kensei xd

Best quote evar: "Oh no. I broke history."
I did like the first episode of the season. I don't really have a lot to add on beyond the questions and comments that have already been said here, but I do like the whole thing with Mohinder working his way into the company for whatever he and Claire's dad have cooked up.
Also interesting that we now have what appears to be the first repeat power (aside from the copycats of Peter and Sylar, sort of). Wonder if there's going to be a major reason for this.
Looking forward to more!

Most likely they're trying to illustrate that some of the powers that are in the show are not unique, and that there are others that have these powers. With as secretive you'd have to be with a powers like they have, I personally can't help but think that the entire first season was just their isolated group in a proverbial bottle. What we have to remember is that most of the structure of villainy from the last season also either has powers, or knew people who do. These individuals have been around for a while. Definitely long enough for some of the powers to be doubled up.

Great Tattooist Oni Shoujo Phoenix Season finale was a total disappointment -__- ... It was neutral Talk about a lame ending. I don't think they should have made it up so much and built it up if it was gonna end like that. It was just a little stupid to me. My opinion though.
