James moved closer to her leaning forward to he could see part of her face, trying to make her look at his eyes.
"Do you think that is a weakness?"

"Valuing life isn't a weakness...I can kill, and will kill...but only if I have to in order to save my life or the life of another," she replied. She found her eyes drawn to his as she spoke this.

James nodded
"Some would think it weakness, when I was a child I thought it was weakness but when it actually came down to it I had a hard time killing. You just get used to it after a while though it is never easy but it never gets harder." James said looking at her and smiling slightly. Sitting next to her in the darkness of the night conversing seemed a small pleasure that had never been granted.

"You are probably right," Imuyenne stated. She sighed and looked back up at the sky. "I've never seen the stars before..." she said softly, her blue eyes reflecting the twinkling masses above them.

James chuckled and looked up at the stars.
"They are pretty arent they. They seem to hold magic." James said grinning and looking over at Imuyenne with a smile.

Imuyenne giggled slightly. "Yes...a magic and beauty that can be possessed by nothing else," she added, still gazing up at the sky.

"They kept you inside then, always?" James looked up at the sky as he spoke, taking in the scene as the night progressed.

"Yeah...or I was only let out in the day light...and that was with a chaperone...I never could understand why...but now I do," she sighed.
"I always felt caged...trapped..."

James turned to look at her.
"I am sorry to hear that. I never felt that way but then I had more freedom than you. Did they beat you?" James asked really hoping his questions didnt hurt her or get annoying.

"No, they didn't beat me...they just trained me, day in and out, until I was the top assassin...the top assassin with no experience," Imuyenne replied, a slightly bitter tone to her voice.

James looked surprised
"I was beaten almost everyday, it was both part of the training and punishment for mistakes."

"Which is why you keep beating yourself up about what happened today," Imuyenne stated.
"For us, it was pounded into our heads, that if we ever made mistakes, it would mean our lives," she explained.

James looked at her in surprise.
"Maybe." He said not really knowing the underlining reason fro his guilt and frustration at failing.
"So they pounding you verbally. I got alot of that as well, though beatings were more frequent."

"It seems that we both had tough lives growing up," Imuyenne said softly as she looked back up into the sky.
"I wish I knew some of the constellations," she whispered.

"Didnt they teach you?" James said incrediously, in his navigations and strategy class they taught everyone about constellations.
