As I said, just because you got the skill doesnt neccessarily mean you know how to use it.

I really like what Kraun added as well. Though, it's kind of misleading when you say that stuff is 'simple'- misleading to me atleast. I have trouble keeping the right amount of subjectivity, and manipulation in my posts (most times not enough) without sounding too controlling. For example, for a long time, I just used to post the pure objective actions of my character, just as long as I get the point across, but never anything else- like the effects, etc. I dont know, some people might view this verbal conciseness as a good thing.
What I believe, is that a successful fight is half technique+creativity and half good ol' persuasive writing (throw in a couple red herrings here and there). That's what makes RP fighting so different from the real thing; people can circumvent their posts to convey the view they want, they can plan ahead by so much- that these fights end up like chess matches.

Eh, thats why I wasnt sure if I should have bothered putting it up. I thought it was really basic stuff, since I do that a lot, but I wasnt sure if other people went that far into it.

I find that going too far though, will make a person lose the basics to the point where it is no longer entertaining.
A challange is good and entertaining, but one can make it challanging with basic stuff and not ruin eet.

*Dragon kicks back through the door with scroll*
Okay that was great! I just hope standups don't try to break/clinch with wrestlers. Unless it's done in some way that securing a hold for throwing/takedown can be easily thwarted.
I do all of my psychological stuff by "stopping" my post mid-action so that based on my opponent's response I have about 2+ different movements on standby.
Or at least that's how I make it into a chess game by forcing the opponent to react to... "nothing."
But I have a slightly difficult time making that exactly fair... since I'll tend to question the speed of everything that's going on.. And it feels more like a wordplay thing. But I guess that probably depends on what I'm doing and what I'm trying to do.
Since I can't exactly "continue" if they don't understand (from the author's perspective) what's going on.

I think .. I should turn the "Sexy Time TV" subforum to a place for free fights.
But they won't be free cause someone will be winning money and the other will be losing it.
Maybe it will be for "cheap" fights.. like 5k. Just a place to make a quick buck off someone you know.
And records can easily be kept I guess.. just for that subforum.
