Kara watched Rivath bathe himself in the lake, she was very worried about everyone over at Fort.
"Just when things seem to be going good something happens..." she murmers softly.

Tikal looked at the girl with something akin to awe in her eyes.
"I hope I have that whenever I get a dragon," she whispered as she heard Arizath's call.

Lira's chirp cut into her thoughts and Glint gave out a miniature bugle which startled those around them. He extended his wings and puffed up in a most ridiculous manner. Tikal tried hard not to laugh at the display.

"Settle down lover-boy," Tikal grinned as she pulled him into her arms, "you have to catch her first."

T'thia smiled at the girl's desire to impress, it was a good quality. true everyone on pern wishes to impress a dragon but few had the courage to face the stummbeling and often dangerouse hatchlings. T'thia grinned even more as Glint made his display and Lira chirped a disregard and turned her head away as if rejecting him. T'thia couldn't help it, she burst out laughing

"you little brat! you have to let someone fly you, otherwise it's just ganna be Oneth, and i know you want more of a challenege then him"

Lira gave a squak and poised herself as if to say "as if any bronze can match me" T'thia sighed in exahsperation

"i can't wait until she's flown and settles on the sands, she's usually more....polite then this"

T'thia shook her head the little gold before flintching at a surge of pain from ehr head ache. she sighed again

"come on, lets go to the lower caverns, i have a head ahce i think i can cure with some klah"

she motioned for A'nash to join them and blushed slightly as she remembered Arizath's comments

I bet he'd do it if you asked

"Riz! there is no way i am going to ask him such a thing! he was wyre leader when we impressed remember?!"

i can ask his bronze to ask for you

"don't you...."

it was too late Arizath had already spoken to A'nash's dragon about possible arrangments for the flight. T'thia turned gohstley pale and nearly fell over from light headedness. she lashed out with an arm and caught herself on the entrance frame of the lower caverns

"now i realy need that klah"

shakily T'thia lowered herself to the nearest table and poured herself some of the hot beverage. how could Arizath do such a thing?! he had just asked for A'nash to...aid her if Arizath flew the next queen. T'thia's hands wouldn't stop shaking as she raised the cup to ehr lips again in a futile attempt to calm her nerves.

Tikal read T'thia's nervousness and she knew it was something other than mere klah-deficiency. She decided not to pursue figuring that it would be rude to do so. So instead she poured herself a refill and scanned the room for familiar faces...not that she expected to find any. Feeling the that silence would be too awkward she turned to T'thia.
"How many eggs do you think Lira will have?"

K'makin... the Weyrling greens are unhappy, they miss their partners who are stuck at Fort.

"What? Oh dear! Nobody's cared for the poor girls!" Kya runs out to the Weyrling Barracks, where sure enough, several young greens were resting listlessly on their couches. The male weyrlings were nowhere in sight, probably out at the lake or something... Which was typical.

Kya always had a soft spot for greens; Nakoreth adored them and that sentiment rubbed off on his rider.

Nakoreth, call in the male Weyrlings, though if not enough of them repond, I'll see what I can do about rustling up any Candidates we currently have around here, and there aren't enough of them, shells, anyone with two hands and at least one glow in their head is good.

Nakoreth made a wordless mental "noise," and Kya went from dragon to dragon, rubbing headknobs and scratching eyeridges, making soothing noises. It hadn't been long enough that they were neglected, but by their colors, they were definitely lonely, and probably hungry by now.

((Any riders of these dragons who are currently stuck at Fort, feel free to RP your dragons here.))

Preyasith's eyes whorled alittle quickly as she got a scriching from the nice man, but hers was worried and hers wasn't here.

with Klah calming ehr nerves T'thia soon resumed her normal color and was back with rightful thinking. the change in subject helped as well. T'thia shurgged at the question

"the smallest clutch she's ever laid was around nine eggs, though she's known to clutch between ten to twelve now that she's getting older"

she rubbed the little golds head with love but ehr eyes soon went distant with the familiar look of a rider bespeaking it's dragon

the young ones are growing lonely and hungry, their riders are still stuck at fort. K'makin is trieing to comfort them

"thank you love, we'll come help"

T'thia returned to her normal state and grinned slyly at the girl

"care to learn how to feed a hatchling?"

she stood and headed towards the kitchens of the lower caverns. grabbing several bowls of raw cut meat she hefted them off the table and headed out the back way towards the wyreling barracks.

"Riz love, be a dear and tell the hatchlings to come out into the sun. some sunning and food will do their hides a world of good. send Huntu and Oneth to the lower caverns for oil pots and rags will you?"

she didn't need to hear her dragons response to know he did as requested. when she reached the wyreling baracks to find K'makin fretfully trieing to concul the young greens she gave him a sympathetic smile

"K'makin, i have bowls of meat. my flits are...."

she didn't finish as Huntu and Oneth popped from between each depositing a pot of oil and a rag before popping back for more.

"bringing oil. some sun would do those young ones a world of good as well."

she spoke to him as she lined up the alrge bowls of meat out side the barracks in hopes that the enticing aroma of meat would help coax the greens out fo the barracks.

Tikal raised an eyebrow at T'thia's sly remark, but nodded enthusiastically. Feeding, hatchlings...how hard could it be? Glint burbled uncertainly. She followed the bronze rider down to the kitchens and picked up a pair of bowls before heading towards the weyrling's barracks. Mimicking her actions, Tikal waited for the draclings to emerge. Slowly they made their way out. A twinge of pity hit Tikal as he saw the ashen color of their hides. Glint crooned worriedly, but for an entirely different reason. As the little greens approached the little bronze flapped his wings and lifted himself onto a more comfortable height. Coward. She told him silently. Big!
Noticing K'makin amidst the sea of green and she waved.

"Hi again," she said nervously as a green drew closer. It was the first time she was this close to a dragon. Even when she had been searched, it had been only the rider who had approached her caravan.

Suddenly, Lapis exploded out of nowhere chirping and warbling excitedly as he sent her picture after picture of different flits. Many! Many! Many!

"Yes, yes, there're many flits in Benden," she said patiently as she tried to calm the hyper flit. Tikal lifted her arm in a falconer-like manner and Lapis landed upon it...all the while continuing his racket. Glint sqwacked a warning to the little blue. Lapis grew quiet as he turned and studied the closest dragon. Turning to Glint the blue flit nodded. Yes, big! He replied. Then he faced Tikal and resumed his "conversation".

((just so you know Oparru we can only RP the NPC dragonets, everyone else will have to RP the actions of their dragons so not all the greens will have emerged just one or two. we have to wait for the others to say their dragon has come out))

T'thia, with the help of Arizath's encouragment, coaxed one of the greens over to her. the grey green creature stummbled over and landed in front of her. she looked down sadley at the poor thing before kneeling down and resting it's head in ehr lap. she offered it a chunk of meat which it gratciously accepted. T'thia continued to feed and fuss over the small creature the late afternoon sun warming it's hide. Color was begining to return to a healthier shade but it was still tinged with worry which was understandable. When the hatchling had finished it's meal and was curled up sleepily in the sun T'thia took up one of the several pots her flits had recently deposited and began to oil the small green. she smiled as it's eyes began to swirl with contentment. Lira, Huntu, and Oneth obliginly helped scratch itches and informed T'thia of who needed oiling badley. T'thia realised she would be spending the rest of the afternoon with the heavy hearted dears and had no objections to it whatsoever. it's what riders did, they cared for dragons. through out the afternoon she kept an eye on Tikal as she was sure K'makin would as well to make sure that if the dragonet she cared for needed somthing she was unsure of the older riders would be there to assist

Kya offers one of the greens a nice slice of wherry. The girls had taken some of them outside, but the ones in here seemed especially morose.

Nimakio landed on Kya's head and made several startled noises.

"No, Mack, these are not giant flits, these are young dragons. Their people are at Fort today."

The little blue didn't seem impressed, and swooped down to investigate one of the greens.

Niko looks around quickly as she is pulled up by one of the older riders and herded with the other weyrlings into the barracks. What's going on, I wonder...?

Something about Fort being closed or something... Korandine, I think they called it... Gyo answers in her head.

Niko laughs softly. I believe it's called 'Quarantine,' love, not Korandine. She smiles to herself.

Preyasith had desided to stay in side with the nice man, she pushes her nose against his leg when he offered another green a peice of wherry. softly she chooned her hunger.

Tikal fed the dracling noting with relief how the red-orange light warmed her hide. The girl gently offered a slice of heard-beast flesh which the little beast took greatfully. Getting over his uneasiness, Glint fluttered down and perched upon the dragon's back. After finishing the meat, the green stretched her wings and warbled pitifully. Tikal smiled and gently began to caress her eye ridges. Lapis then appeared with an oiled rag in his claws. She smiled at the little blue as he showed her a picture of T'thia's flits carrying the same object.

With practiced moves, Tikal began to oil the dragon's hide. The little green was small, a little larger than the watch whers she used to care for...but much more attractive, and with a more delicate hide. She then saw others had begun to arrive in order to help the melancholic dragonettes.

Soon the green's eyes drooped as they swirled contentedly. Turning to Lapis and Glint, Tikal instructed them to mimick T'thia's flits. Soon, they too were fluttering from dragon to dragon sqwaking when Tikal's attention was desperately needed. I could get used to this...this Weyr life. She thought as she gently oiled and fed some of the saddened draclings.

After everyone had left the kitchen A'nash was still in thought. Faramith gave him a mental nudge, a bit startled he looked up to discover everyone had left.
He ran out of the kitchen and saw a lot of people over at the weyrling barracks. "Ahh yes ofcourse" he said to himself. He ran over to the barracks and started to help feeding the weyrlings. He caught T'thia's eye for a moment and gave a quick smile.

T'thia had settled the little green she had been aiding and moved on to another, the last having fallen asleep in the sun. as she worked oil into the poor things miscolored hide Oneth offered it food and Huntu and Lira helped with the scratching. As T'thia worked she glanced up and A'nash begining to help them, he gave a quick smile which caused T'thia to blush insanley red and duck behind the hatchling.

Mine, are you playing a game with Farmith's?

"no i'm not playing a game! thanks to you i'm ganna always be embarrassed around him. why did you have to go and ask Farmith to ask him sucha thing"

Because you wouldn't that's why

Arizath's tone was awfully smug as he spoke. T'thia gave him a mental snort before continuing her work glancing over at A'nash every now and then

Mine... the female weyrlings remain at Fort. They are under quarantine...

And their dragonets, of course, are still here, and not being cared for. All right, I'm going...

He shrugged... the girl seemed to have left without particularly acknowledging him anyway. He wandered off towards the weyrling barracks.

Awakening from an uneasy nap, Aireth looked about hopefully for her rider. Seeing that Feather still had not returned, she crooned sadly and wandered out of the barracks.
