Jasi continued to splash and play in the water, enjoying its coolness. She stood up for a moment, to quickly lap up some water, when she smelled something. Lion?!So Yakuti had been right! Jasiri hoped out of the water, only stoping for amoment to shake off the excess water, before she ran to Taka. "Taka, I smell it!I smell a lion!" Jasi looked around nervously, looking for any signs of another lion.

"I wonder what happened to her.."
She muttered her sentence quickly, a trace of a growl within it. The cheetah turned and sniffed worreidly, ears erect as the sound and smell of an approachinig lions hit her. "We should leave.." Teule wondered why they were so scared of lions when they were ones themselves. He was going to answer but was quickly pushed into the water by Taka who had turned around a little too abruptly? Fratically she spke while searching for a place to hide the poor cubs from the lion on it's way, assuming the worst was to happen.
"The lions too close to run from, well except for me but that's out of the question, what do we do about the cubs."

After being nudged, Kavuasi let off a soft rumble, almost as if acknowledging his mother's wishes and assuring her against it. He then continued to feed, his tiny stomach unsatiated by the milk that was being shared by his siblings. After a few more suckles, he let off, curling up against his mother as his stomach growled. He would finish later, if Kinja allowed it.

Jasi nodded and looked around for somewhere to hide. She could see a small thicket a little away, maybe there would do. She pointed towards it. "How about there?" When Taka turned and knocked Tuele into the water, Jasi rushed over to him and held out her hand to help him out. "Are you ok Tuele?I know you dont like the water. We have to go now, cause the lion might not be to friendly to us."

Teule smiled weakly, shaking his fur and pulling himself quickly out of the water, as if he defiled himself. He turned a partially angry eye towards his mom who was busy digging out a small burrow for the the four to fit, knowing that Yakuti would only be a snack to the lion that was heading this way.
"Everyone get in. He's closer now.."

Yakuti hurried over to where the cheetah was digging.. "no no no thats all wrong!" she jumped infront of her continueing the hole in a professional mannor "If you dig it wrong it will cave in." she muttered, digging the rest of the hole in near record time.
Wokovu had hopped out of the water with jasi and was licking his paws waiting for the burrow to be finished. Somehow perfectly calm while yakuti was near panic.. this is also why she dug that hole so fast. He hurried into the hole as ordered. "Yea mom said something about being careful of other lions awhile ago.. But i figured you guys would be nice. glad i was right." he smiled at the two, then hushed down when Yakuti gave him a yip to shut up.

While the other baby lions suckled their mother, Kafara did not. She rested, head on paws, looking around, and yet seeing nothing. She did not move, and was as stiff as a block of marble. Indeed, she seemed carved out of stone, the gentle slope of her back and her curving shoulders very statue-like. She was still smaller than her siblings, still the youngest.
Kafara, at last feeling the pangs of hunger in her small, furry belly, gave in and padded over to Jua on her tiny cub feet. She quickly took over sucking where her eldest brother had left off, gulping steadily and thoroughly enjoying her meal.
Kiu, meanwhile, was guarding, pacing around the clearing, letting out low growls once in a while. Nope, he wasn’t leaving Kinja while she had such young cubs to look after. She didn’t need any more stress. The least he could do as a father was stand by them. They were, after all, worthy of praise. They were his children, children of pure blood! A fierce pride burned in Kiu’s heart as he thought of his children. His two fine sons and his four lovely daughters.

Hearing his father's growl, Kavuasi's ears perked, his eyelids fluttering weakly open to reveal his deep, light-blue eyes. Though he couldn't see Kiu, just the sounds of his paws and voice was enough for the cub to identify who it was. Already his brain was chugging along, digesting the information about his parents and siblings that he was learning. His nostrils flared as he caught scents of the clearing, things beyond the clearing, and those snuggled around him and his mother.

Kinja heard Kiu's growls from outside the thicket. She smiled softly and let a soft call to him to join them in the thicket if he so pleased. She turned to her youngest and smallest daughter and grew a bit worried when the little one wasn't eating but relief washed over her as the tiny female moved to where her eldest brother had been and began to suckle as well.
Kimeti had also heard his father and let out a little call of his own, which was nothing more than a squeek, but he felt proud with the sound the came from within him. He picked himself up on his tiny legs and made his way to the thicket exit to join his father.
Looking up Kinja saw her yongest son trying to make a break for the exit. She stood up, stopping the others from eating, and walked over and picked Kimeti up. Before walking back to the rest of her cubs she stepped out into the day to see Kiu. She placed Kimeti down by her paws and kept a weary eye on him. "You don't need to stay out here you know. There's more than enough room in the thicket." She smiled. "Besides, I am sure your sons and daughters would like some time with their father." She licked Kiu's cheek before turning and picking up Kimeti and carrying the little one back inside. She settled herself in the back of the thicket as before after placing Kimeti with the rest of the cubs.
Kimeti swatted outwards when his mother picked him up, but allowed himself to be carried outside. The sudden brightness filled the bit of sight he had and he cried out in confusion. He felt his paws land on something warm and he liked the feel of it. He curled himself up on the surface he was on between his mothers paws, but within minutes he found himself in his mother's grasp again. When he was placed with his brothers and sisters he curled up again and yawned before resting his head and dozing off.

When the hole was finished, Jasi was the last one to climb in. SHe could feel some of her back sticking out a bit, and she struggled to move in further. Now only a little bit of her hind quarters where showing, and she prayed the other lion wouldnt notice. She closed her eyes nevously, and waited.

[Well, this is when you can start to establish abit of her attitude. How would she react to the things going on around her? She can't see yet because she's too young but she can hear, smell, and feel. ]

( 3nodding alright! here i go )
kijinga placed her paws on her mothers stomache, her nose sniffing around for milk. her ears were pinned back as her tail curled under her slightly. the sound of her brothers and sisters made her nervous, and she didn't want to get involved with them at the moment. she was hungery and that was her first priority.
she carefully inched away from her siblings as she tried and made her way towards kinja's hind leg curling up beside it and letting out a long yawn. it seemed she didn't like to be around many others. kijinga layed her head down slowly, yet sleep would'nt come easy, her brothers and sisters were making much of a racket at the moment, but soon settled down. her body shaked a bit, then stoped, allowing her eyes to fall into a small slumber.

Kinja watched her tiny cubs begin to relax and fall asleep. Her eyes fell upon her 4th born and she smiled a bit when the young one shivered. Curling her tail between her legs she curled the tip of it around the small body, giving her more warmth from her own body. Kinja laid her head down on the sandy floor of the thicket and yawned. Her eyes watched all her young ones, not ready to fall asleep until her little ones did.
Kimeti was already fast asleep but he work with a start when one of his sisters accidently stepped on his tail. He growled out angerily and tried to find who the perpatraitor was but to no avail. She moved even closer to his mothers side and curled his tail along his moths side as he buried himself with her fur and heaved a mighty sigh before dozing into slumber again.
